Bright Eyes would hands down be THE BEST company I have EVER dealt with!!! Aus Post delivered my sunglasses to the wrong house and although technically their part was complete once they'd posted my sunglasses, Bright Eyes kept in regular contact with me and together we got it sorted out. I love my Tonic sunglasses and I love you guys at Bright Eyes...thanks a million. Show reply

I purchased a pair of Mauii Jim sunglasses and paid for express shipping. Item is still not available for tracking 5 days later so I assume it hasn't even been sent yet. I have emailed and telephoned but no one responds. Not sure if they have shut down for the Christmas/New Year period but they haven't shutdown for taking peoples money.

Huge risk buying from this company – Pair of adult sunglasses I purchased were a perfect fit for my 3 year old, not anywhere close to an adult fit, customer service obviously could not care less about their customer experience and were very petty in emails, deleted my reviews from their site where I tried to warn other customers they were taking a risk buying that model, would not… Read more

send prepaid return shipping so I had to take a hit on returning internationally. Super irritating and poor business strategy , they should prioritise accurate product listing and positive customer experience to get return custom.

Excellent online store for sunglasses – Very happy with my purchase. Spotted a pair of Prada sunglasses I liked at my local Sunglasses Hut. Noted down the model and did a web search thinking I would have to buy from an overseas online store for a better price. Found BrightEyes had the same pair for $120 less. Ordered and the pair was in my hands 2 days later from QLD to NSW with free shipping. Awesome! Show reply

Brand New Ray-Ban with Damaged Erased Print – I purchased Brand New Ray-Ban New Avaitor from Bright Eyes and paid around $180 on sale. The temple of the sunglass had damaged Erased Print. I realised that after removing the Tag. I contacted them next day to get my Ray-Ban exchanged but was refused saying Ray-Ban comes from factory like this. Never had any Ray-Ban with erased print from temple.

This is a scam. Avoid at all costs – What a shambolic business. I ordered a pair of glasses for $150. They sent me a completely different pair, and when I notified them they said they didn’t even have the ones I ordered. Now they are making me do all the legwork to get my money back.

Poor customer service, communication and packaging – I ordered a pair of sunnies on a Thursday night, assuming they would be posted the next day. Could have bought elsewhere. I ring on Monday afternoon and I'm told it will be posted Tuesday. If you're not going to post it the next 24 / 48 hours because of a delay or snafu then best to let the customer know. Then comes their postage policy: you must… Read more

sign on delivery. What if it's convenient for me to post to a parcel locker? Then when I recieve the package, it's got a single layer of sticky tape on the box and your stupid sticker alerting everyone that there's something expensive inside. Use your brians! Who is in charge at your warehouse? Be discrete!! Just call yourselves BE or something. I got a delivery the week before from a large retailer, similiar price, if they can ship to a parcel locker then you should too. But because of the lack of thought that goes into your packaging you're running a slow, second class online store.

Avoid! Deceptively sells ex-display/factory seconds as new and doesn't refund. Photos included – Received a clearly used pair of sunglasses with scratched, damaged, dirty lens and and old dirty, faded price tag (photos attached). BrightEyes acknowledged they had deceptively sold an ex-display, used, and damaged pair of sunglasses as new. They said they would refund but only once sunglasses were returned, they provided a dodgy postage label… Read more

and the item is now "lost in transit" so no refund! Will now need to pursue refund via regulatory channels. Avoid this dodgy company.

Deceptive photos for a sunglass – Colour of tye product is totally different from the that in website. Please see that attached images. They are saying “photos can be slight different from the original”. The one I got is nowhere near the photos pressnted in the website. Since, as per their judgement, the correct product was sent I have to pay for the postage. Never buying again from this seller.

Will never go back! – I bought a pair of polarised sunglasses from Bright Eyes for my first cataract surgery which was Supposed to be last September 2021 but it as cancelled so I had to wait to wear them until now, February 2022, when I had my first surgery. I wore them only 4-5 times and found them to make things look badly out of focus when I looked through them and… Read more

the polarising wasn’t good so as a result have been struggling with glare. I took them back and wanted to exchange them because i am having my second surgery March 2022 and that’s when the problem started! They wanted to send them back for assessment but I explained to them that i don’t have the time and that I needed them now, her answer “What, it took you 6 months to figure out you can’t wear them?” I explained again why I haven’t used them until now and even showed her my implant card given to me by my surgeon, she refused to exchange them so i told her, ok then I want a refund! She refused to give me a refund and insisted on sending them away, I told her again…I don’t have the time! These are brand new and have only worn them about 4 times for only about 10 mins a time, she continued to mock me and I told her again I didn’t have time to wait and needed them now! She started laughing at me, screwing up her face, telling me i was getting all upset….I tried to tell her what i go through every day when going outside without polarised sunglasses and was in tears at this point…she continued her condescending demoralising attitude, and with a sarcastic grin called security to have me and my husband thrown out of your store, i stood outside the store to try and calm down, at this point my husband dealt with her and she again mockingly said to him "And it took your wife 6 months to work out she can’t wear them?" She didn’t listen to anything i had told her! I just wasted $99 that I don’t have to throw away, i was forced to go to an Optometrist to buy another pair of polarised sunglasses, I didn’t expect to be ridiculed, demoralised and laughed at by the owner/manager of said store. The head office then rang my husband and spun things around and said that it was her staff that were in tears! really! ?!?! We have the security guard that she phoned as a witness that saw me in tears and upset and they can always look at the cctv cameras!!!...I'm a 66 year old pensioner...

Bought item online – Was looking online for a mini black flexfit cap for a birthday gift, I randomly stumbled across brighteyes and noticed that they were having a sale on the hat and shipping is cheaper than other stores that were selling the same product. Was hesitant buying the cap but times are tough gotta save every penny (or im a cheap bish lol). Bought the hat on the 25/07 and it arrived on the 27/07! Very fast considering I live a few states away  Show reply

Best Customer Service – Purchased a pair of sunglasses for the store in Cairns while on holidays. The staff were very friendly and very knowledgeable about all the products. Went in there to buy a $50 pair of Sunglasses as I had left mine at home and ended walking out with 2 pair of Maui Jim one for myself and one for my wife and 2 pair of thongs. The best $600 I have ever spent. Would highly recommend Bright Eyes.  Show reply

Very Poor Service – I actually went ahead to buy a pair of sunnies with these guys because their website was well put together with a nice range of brands and models. What I didn't know was the presence of bad reviews on this store prior to my purchase. First and foremost, the delivery of their products is almost hopeless because they decided use a courier service… Read more

apart from the standard auspost. Secondly, their products are not sent with express shipping using auspost despite their website mentioning them as the initial option. Thirdly, their items do not come with a postage paid return form if one wants to return them. And lastly, they want to charge a 15$ refund processing fee if you do decide to return them. On the flipside, some of their staff were nice to speak with and the product did come properly packed and intact. I expected the product to feel like a 200$ pair of sunnies, but for some reason they feel like something cheaper (It didn't even come with a cleaning cloth which is kinda disappointing and further reaffirms my concerns with pricing them at 200$). All in all, I'd suggest turning to other retailers rather then these guys if you could (I found that there are some retailers that offer competitive prices with super speedy delivery free with a minimum threshold purchase price and hassle free returns). If you still wanna buy a pair of sunnies because its only available at their store, I'd highly suggest getting them in person from one of their stores in your city and really make sure you are happy with your product before you purchase it. Check the quality of the product and ask all relevant questions about returns, etc. before you make your purchase. Thanks for reading my review and I hope you have good shopping experience with whichever retailer you choose :)

Horrible customer service -Geraldton – Tried to replace sunglasses under warranty 6 months after realising a common hairline crack in the frame and being hardly worn. Blamed customer for faulty/cheaply made overpriced mangrove jack sunglasses and wouldnt replace under warranty. Has also happened to 5 other people I know of and they had theirs replaced and they broke again.Just buy safety glasses instead at least they will be strong and honour warranty.

Can’t believe they’re still in business! – When I bought from this store originally they were the only ones that had the brand glasses I wanted so I bought it from them reluctantly due to a rude salesperson. Now down the track when the glasses are faulty I took them back to the store paid $15 to send them off for repair. They came back and tell me I’m out $140. Maui Jim hadn’t charged me… Read more

for repairs before so I was suspicious and call Maui Jim Australia and they said yes they did charge the store for repair which turns out to be $70. When confronted about this the salesperson says “I’ll knock it down to $100 for you we need to make $30”. How can you put a value of $70 or even $30 on posting an envelope that I paid postage for and calling me when it returns. As a person in retail for many years this is about as dodgy as a retailer can get. Don’t go there!

Terrible customer service for Faulty goods after a few days – The worst retailer - deny consumer rights and state outright they don't ever have to give a refund for faulty sun glasses purchased just a few days ago. They admitted there was a problem but refused to replace then refund. Disgusting. The law states they have to replace or refund. They say any and all issues to be dealt with by the… Read more

manufacturer and so they wanted to send my brand new $300 Maui Jim sunglasses to manufacturer and I have nothing during this time.

The law states they are responsible for supplying faulty goods.

Shame on you for denying good quality customers service and breaching ACL

Just buy elsewhere with retailer that respects consumer issues for faulty goods they supply as this one doesn't.

Why should I have to complain to ACL and chase them for my money back for new faulty goods and what they are required to do under law - beware shoppers are prosecuting them.
