was coming for a prescription upgrade and ordered an extra pair because the price was great (when this was only because the product was wrong). This resulted in me being hundreds of dollars out of pocket as I had to have the single vision x 2 replaced. Very upset and this, combined with quality issues with the frames, mean that I've finished with OW for good.

Whilst the staff at the Claremont store were lovely, I had two pairs of glasses snap in the middle within 6 months of owning. Staff claim that I was cleaning my glasses too aggressively - considering I've never had a problem with snapped glasses in the 30 years of wearing them previously I'd beg to differ.

of my complaint, which is comprehensive.

13 April 2026

Visited your Oscar Wylee Chermside store this morning, as my frame just snapped by the ‘nose bridge’, at one of the two joints, expecting a replacement or possibly repair.

The personnel at the store front had a quick look at the item and deemed it as ‘normal wear and tear’, hence not covered by their warranty - which in this instance expires in June 2026.

I asked to speak to the Manager of the store, but the Manager is only available tomorrow.

The lady attending to me was reluctant to disclose her full name, although she was wearing a name badge that was sadly facing the other way on her lanyard.

She mentioned that this could happen and I must understand this is the reason “they are cheap”….

Very disappointed as this was my first foray with Oscar Wylee Eyewear. Our family of six normally go to SpecsSavers but decided to try a new supplier.

Specssavers has replaced/ repaired my glasses free of charge in the past, whereas Oscar Wylee has offered a replacement frame at a discounted price of $80.

Makes me rethink of the quality of METAL FRAMES provided by Oscar Wylee and your after-service to customers.

Why isn’t a replacement or repair offered despite it being under warranty?

lovely range of designs and that too, organised by shape. I’ve always been biased towards the geometric and cat-eye styles myself.

And of course, customer service and support 11/10. Anytime I’ve noticed an issue requiring repair, they’ve been able to tackle it within 30 minutes.

incredibly helpful that I had help to choose frames and she was knowledgeable about which frames were right for my face shape taking into consideration the type of frames I like, there are so many nice frames to choose from it can be hard. When picking up my new glasses, again I was met with a friendly face and information letting me know I can come back for adjustments. This is why I like to go to Oscar Wylee because it’s always a good experience and I leave feeling great. Also, I LOVE my new glasses, they got it exactly right once again!

sale, was browsing when I saw these lovely sunglasses in tortoiseshell cat eye frames which I just had to try on.They certainly had the WOW factor,were very “ out there “so I just had to have them with multifocal lenses.I have had so many positive comments from so many people I know,and strangers who want to try them on.I have Sam to thank for giving me the confidence to try something different from their unique range.

 Follow-up  · The staff were very helpful in finding my new frames. I only wanted plastic arms but with nose pads & they found me some. The store was quite busy, but they managed to greet & serve everyone in a good amount of time. The glasses themselves are very comfortable to wear.

aren't cheap. I'm have issues with my clear glasses that the film coating on lenses has not been applied correctly making it hard to see clearly through the lenses especially in day light they always look as they are dirty but are not and a hazard at night when I drive with the glare of the going coming headlights. I unfortunately have had my mother very ill and has passed away and finally been able to visit the store several times and the manager was not there, so the assistant said she would get him to call me back. I have never received such disgusting customer service from anyone. There is an issue with my clear glasses that clearly shows not a user fault and under consumer law needs to be actioned and rectified as also a hazard when driving, at would hope the person would be dealt with, the experience has left me extremely upset and left me in disbelief about what has happened. I submitted a complaint but still not heard from anyone. I guess I can contact ACCC as my next step.

doesn’t usually like wearing glasses, but this time she has to wear them for at least 10 hours a day… and she’s loving them! She even told me she sometimes forgets she’s wearing them because they’re so light and comfy — which says everything.

While we were there, I also had my own Oscar Wylee glasses adjusted, and the lovely staff member who helped me did an amazing job. They now fit perfectly — honestly better than when I first bought them.

As a bonus, we were given a free cute tote bag, and even that impressed me — great quality and such a nice touch.

Amazing service, excellent quality, thoughtful details, and a brand that really cares. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Oscar Wylee to anyone looking for stylish, comfortable glasses and top-notch customer service!

affordable prices for quality frames, of course there were some more expensive and some cheaper ones available as well.

I was given an itemised costing of my chosen frames and lens options before proceeding with the order, so there were no surprises later.

When my glasses arrived about two weeks later, I tried them on and had them adjusted for a comfortable fit before taking them home. Unfortunately after three weeks, I returned for another eye test for replacement lenses and was even offered a different frame for my sunnies which the optometrist explained would be more functional for me. The whole lot was free of charge and I’m pleased to report I received my replacements a week later and for over two months now, I actually enjoy wearing my new glasses with such vastly improved vision. I’m very appreciative for all the care and services I received free of any hassles.

glasses. I can't see, I'm getting headaches dizziness my eyes hurt. I'm finding work difficult and everyday life a strain. The sunglasses have a UV tint in them they have a distortion where I can't judge distance such as a step or a rock. Again because of their product I have fallen over and tripped down steps. I asked my friends with good eyes to try the sunglasses they to found the sunglasses distorted distance. I called the store I purchased the glasses asking, where are my glasses, they said this is a very busy time for them, the glasses should be ready soon. Another week or more has passed still nothing. I paid over $500 in full two months ago. All I've received is bruses headaches dizziness and stress. I can't see, I have cataracts sjögren's and stigma. Im on a low income, $500/$600 is alot for me. Ombudsman expect a call from me soon. Shame Shame on you Oscar Wylie. Never again....

I was quite frustrated with our experience. both my husband and I had to get our eyes re-tested after receiving our new script as it wasn’t right for our eyes. After receiving my new script for a second time, I needed to back again to get my right lens fixed as the astigmatism was incorrect and making it really blurry.
