Collected glasses with full of fingerprints on them. Shop staff couldn't even bother to clean until I asked them. Instead of "professional cleaning" that states on Oscar Wylee website, shop manager merely just used fabric to clean glasses. I went back home with a pair of not so new glasses because they were still dirty. Opted 1.67 so called thinner lens, but still super heavy. Either they didn't genuinely upgrade the lens, or their manufacturer just can't make thinner glasses. Give 1 star only for the nice looking frame, except it keeps sliding down due to the heavy weight, and makes my head, ears and nose sore.
Crappie customer service
I brought reading glasses in July with scratch proof lenses as I am a truck driver and am hard on my glasses
3 months have gone buy and low and behold the lenses a scratching to the point I can't use the glasses
I went back to the shop and was advised by them this was general wear and tear
I have written emails to the complaint department but nobody really cares they say I will have to order new lenses
I can not stress enough this shop is only there to milk you
I will never be visiting any of your stores again and I will stay outside your shop and warn customers about your crappie practices
Should of stayed at spec savers
Below standard customer service!
Took my daughter to get her eyes tested and was prescribed glasses. Rang twice after 2weeks to check if glasses were in and was told not yet. Rang again for the 3rd time and was told they were in but no one had called us or bothered to contact us. Took my daughter to pick up her glasses and was totally disgusted in the customer service and level of care given by person serving us. She handed my daughter the glasses over the counter and didn’t even budge from behind the counter to check the fitting. I’ve never been to an optometrist where your g...lasses are just handed to you without making sure fit was correct and testing out glasses with some reading material. What happened to good old fashioned customer service? Where you are seated and given the time to make sure everything was correct. Where is the care factor and effort put in towards customers and their satisfaction? Obviously there was none here!!!!! Very unsatisfactory service!!!!
Mixed bag progressives and mid range off
Expected outcomes first contact: excellent optometrist eye check, good frame selection
Unexpected actions: frame/eye calibration position was done standing up with optical staff is way taller than me. It should be done in a perpendicular eye level position. It was recommended to get the top tier Elite line of progressive range but told the optical staff it didn't work right from the same level tier of a different provider previously. That provider change it to a premium mid tier that work excellent on the older prescription.
Delivery outcomes...: premium multi-coating is excellent, far distance and sense of depth is good, product hand over and fitting was just done as is and wear it accordingly so your eyes get use to it. Overall driving use is excellent but transition to vehicle instrumentation seems a bit off. Problematic use: Computer use leads to constant eye hunting to read the text off the the screen on my desktop PC or laptop. Came back at store and was checked on the eye frame calibration (standing up again) told to speak the manager 3 days later when she is in. Manager checked the fit observed it again. I am still rubbing my right eye occasionally and try to catch a reference point which is annoying as I have told them of my experience. I have worn progressives in the past 12 years and I know when it works. Please see my updates on the comments.
Love my new glasses
I used Oscar Wylee for this first time and can’t speak highly enough of the experience. I usually go for dark frames however the optometrist suggested I try a lighter colour frame and they looked amazing. Much more flattering on my face. My eye test was bulk billed and the glasses were 2 for $199 and I upgraded the lens to blue light filter as I spend a lot of time behind the screen. I was so impressed with the customer service and range of glasses and I will continue to use Oscar Wylee going forward!
Misleading claims on their website manipulating consumers
I visited the store in the Galeries on Pitt street to browse the options for my glasses. One of the staff assisted me well, giving me information about the variety of lens options they offer. He showed me the chart with three popular lens upgrades, which were 1. Anti-glare 2. Anti-Glare Premium and 3. Blue light filter.
According to the chart
1. anti-glare is for clearer and sharper vision, with an additional cost of $20.
2. anti-glare premium is for anti-reflection, anti-scratch and UV protection, with an additional cost of $30.
3. blue light...

Low quality and unreliable
I have worn glasses for the majority of my life and after having an adequate amount of time to adjust to the lenses that I purchased to make this review. It was NOT worth the amount paid (almost 500).
The reason for this review is the inferior quality of the products that they provide, an example being the lenses. After several days of back and forth bickering to try and understand what was wrong with my lenses which had an estimated 60% reduction in vision. In verbatim "the centre is too high" and "the incorrect script was given". However, t...he centre was "fixed" and my overall script was only off by .25 in my left eye which had no significant impact. The issue with this is strikingly clear. I already have lenses (Nikon) which worked exceptionally and the prescription was the same, therefor there was another problem. I have since discovered not all things are made equal and this holds true especially for Oscar Wylee's product quality. The issue lies within the quality of the materials used to make the lenses and poor manufacturing procedures. All in all, if you are looking to get a new pair of glasses and Oscar Wylee has a frame that you like. Take the frames and have the lenses made by your preferred optometrists because after all, you don't want to spend hundreds on a product that will help you to see if it doesnt do just that. Side note: customer service was not the best, majority of the staff seemed untrained and uninterested in providing genuine help. I also received no refund for the lenses because my script was from elsewhere.
So Simple and Beautiful
The store was easy to navigate and the simple layout made it easy to find the products I wanted. There was a good range of styles including sunglasses. I love my Oscar Wylee glasses because they are light, stylish and comfortable. These glasses make it so effortless to wear daily - I usually forget that I have them on and they work well with many outfits.
Horrible, lazy service and inferior product
**multifocal wearers please read. I experienced exceptionally horrible service at Warringah mall and it seems that Oscar
Wylee have inferior products. I've been wearing multifocals for several years and ordered $630 (so top of the line) glasses over 3 weeks ago. When I picked it up nearly two weeks ago I wasn’t able to read or view a computer screen. When I went back into store the manager was apologetic and told me she’d get it sent off to be fixed right away. But this was for show and there was no follow through. After not hearing from them f...
Incorrect Lenses and poor training
My glasses were posted to my home as I live regional NSW, posted Monday arrived Friday so slow, tried on could not read small print via multi focal, called store and was advised told to go to another spectacle shop for them to adjust. So the next day drove 2 hrs back to the shop, was advised that the multi focal was for general, sent back to the manufacture rang a week later advised I had to wait 14 days for a remake. Then the following day received a txt that they had arrived, still incorrect. Got a refund but stupid girl hit credit not savings so now I have to wait 3 to 5 days and staff don’t know how to re credit the health insurance fund. Don’t shop here unless you want cheap glasses with cheap service
I love both of my glasses that I chose the whole range is amazing and I genuinely wish I could've gotten every frame
I loved how the store was set out and found it easy to find the perfect frames.
I was definitely satisfied with the range.
10/10, the products are amazing! From case to frame to lense
Disgusting service !!!!
Firstly I was given the wrong prescription and told “not to worry we won’t charge you for fixing it” and to come back when the manager was there. I am not going to make multiple trips when it’s not my fault and the employee said it was clearly the managers fault for ordering incorrectly. I waited for a follow up phone call the following day, I had to call and make arrangements for them to be fixed. Called Head Office for feedback and they said a rush would be put on my glasses. No text, no call to say they were ready ...
Bad frames and even worse service
Process of getting them were easy however when I received them they were not of good quality, uncomfortable, I paid extra for the UV, anti-glare and 1.74x index. Absolute waste of money. When I came back into the store to query they did not help at all, not knowledgeable of their products and services. Never buying again nor recommend. Go else where for cheaper and better quality

Questions & Answers
Hi my prescription sunglasses dont go dark just light tint, what has gone wrong, I got them from you a week ago
I ordered two pairs of glasses- one with a blue light filter and one with standard- and I didn’t not like the outcome of it. It makes my vision have a blue hue to it, tints my lenses so they appear darker, makes my eye area darker (and hence, my eye bags), and changes the way I perceive colours. Also, one of the lenses on those glasses makes my vision blurry so I’ve been experiencing headaches, dizziness and distorts my vision and sense of depth, yet the other pair without the blue light filter is completely fine with both glasses having the same eye prescription. Another fault of the glasses with the blue light filter is that it is not balanced in the way that my glasses is tilted when I wear them and is loose. I’ve asked one of the employees to fix it for me but no matter how many times she tries the tilt is still there. Am I able to have my glasses replaced with a new one except without the blue light filter. I very much like shopping at Oscar Wylee and would like to continue to purchase from them again.

Hi Anna, thank you for your query. We offer 1-year warranty for lens from lab faulty item or dispensing errors. However, sadly this does not apply to wear and tear or change of mind. We acknowledge that the BLF might take some adjusting to it due to the slight tint. For the optical pair, we would suggest heading in store to make sure that this is the right script for you. Thank you.
