Bad customer service – We loved our britax b-first click tight plus but the seat cover and belt have started to fray after 10 months of use. For an expensive car seat this shouldn’t happen. eat in the car seat and we have pulled apart the car and there is no signs of a rodent.. there just trying to get out of replacing the cover and belt. We’ve recently purchased a second seat for our baby due soon which we will be returning for another branded seat that hopefully will have better customer service
Not secure – Bought this overpriced car seat thinking it was going to be the safest one for my baby. The seat reclining function feels jammed so it can't be reclined. When fitted it's loose. afford to replace the seats while they are away for months on end -The buckle pops open sporadically -the covers will not stay on and I would often find them covering my newborns face in the car which is very dangerous -the clicktight isn’t actually a clicktight and relies on a locking click which you have to purchase separately to actually install ‘tight’ which feels like false advertising -and last but not least the entire harness LOOSENS over the course of a few days to the week with use Do yourself a favour and please choose anything else for you child More expensive does not mean better quality

Great product, great customer service – I've had this seat for 3 years now and it's been very good. Today I needed to remove it from my car to clean it but ran into trouble and couldn't get the seat part to lift up. It turned out that one of the release mechanisms was sticking so they organised a same day full replacement. Within 4 hours we had the broken seat replaced and a new seat professionally fitted in our car. Highly recommend both the product and the company.
Paid a fortune, a month later car seat is unusable, and dreadful customer service – Our very expensive car seat (Britax safe and sound B First TEX Convertible) that was bought online was broken upon unpacking it. It's a month, seat was lost whilst in their care, currently still not repaired & customer service has been dreadful. I call each week and have been confused with other customers, been told our car seat is in Melbourne for repair, NSW for repair, lost, would be priority repair job so would have it Friday last week (it's Wednesday the following week and no word or call or seat), now it will be early next week.
Been informed today that it was only sent to the repairs today, 15th of June. It's been broken and waiting repair over a month. Baby Bunting informed that they were informed of different information about the repair of the seat and advised we seek a refund.
I have asked to have the broken seat sent back to me so that I can take it to the store for a full refund, and now they won't send me a broken seat back. So I can't seem to get a fixed or broken seat back or a refund and I don't have a car seat for my daughter after spend $820 on a car seat over a month ago. My daughter is on the verge of growing out of her capsule and we don't have a car seat for her.
Can't tell you how many hours I have spent on the phone following up this seat. It would have been easier and quicker driving 2 hours each way to Sydney to return it to the store we bought it from than deal with the manufacturer. We need a second car seat for my husband's car but will be looking at different car seat companies now as not prepared to deal with this company or give them any further business. You would think spending $820 on their product would make you a valuable customer.
Can't review the use of the product itself as we can't actually use it.
My recommendation would be to never deal with Britax. Just make sure to get a full refund or a product exhange, because their customer service and communication is appalling. No one in there business seems to know what going on and you speak with different staff and everyone provides a different story.

Check the seat is compatible with your car – Car seat became loose twice after being installed by professional fitters. The fitters had to notify Britax of the issue. Britax informed them to use a gated clip. This worked however made it extremely hard to use the mechanism to lift and shut the seat. I would not purchase this over priced seat again. Thankfully Britax has agreed to refund and U have purchased the AHR instead. Hopefully this is more compatible with our car. Show details

We’ve been back to baby bunting multiple times to check if the installation needs adjusting and to check that we’ve been putting bubz in correctly, they said it’s all fine and that he will “grow into it” to give it time. It’s impossible to fit him in correctly and there’s always a gap in the lower back and bum area, no matter how we try to sit him in. I felt guilty that we’ve waited and have put him through uncomfortable rides thinking he’s going to grow into it. When we went to express our concerns to baby bunting they said take it up with the manufacturers for a refund or exchange to a different Britax model.
Britax got in contact with us due to this review and asked us to get the seat reviewed by baby bunting seat fitter AGAIN to check the issue, which we did. The fitter agreed that our baby was not seated well especially when compared seating position in another model from Britax and spoke to the manger who said the best they can do is offer us 20% off any other car seat of our choice. Two baby bunting workers as well as the fitter all agreed that particular seat shape was not suitable. When Britax was informed of this outcome they decided that was not good enough and then asked that we take another day off work so that their quality control manager can himself inspect it, what was the point of going back and forth with baby bunting if the whole time they also wanted to inspect it? why not inspect it themselves from the beginning? when I explained we can't take another weekday morning off due to work, they offered to come to our house which also meant we needed to take some time off. The day I emailed Britax to inform them I was not willing to have more time wasted and that I was going to sell the seat and publish the review, I got a call from the quality control manager and another representative to offer a full refund! a little too late after all the hassle.That morning we had sold the seat at a great loss and purchased another.The best decision we took, not only does our baby look more comfortably seated but he also does not fuss or cry uncontrollably anymore which confirms to me it was definitely the seat. My advice is save your money and spend it on a product that supports your child’s posture … The lesson I learnt is that just because it’s one of the most expensive seats, doesn’t make it the safest nor the best.

“V” shaped sitting position, baby resists to go on, taking this car seat purchase to ACCC! – We bought the most expensive car seat at Baby Bunting and had professionally installed at Baby Bunting. absolutely hates being in the carseat! Baby’s almost 6 months now and still resists going in the car seat and cries every time. He looks soooo uncomfortable, his bottom doesn’t touch the car seat as you can see in attached video, the sitting position of this car seat is “V” shaped.....I have seen other babies pictures in car seat and the seat is “L” shaped position which looks far more comfortable.
I was about to post this above review and Britax contacted me to advise since it’s not manufacturing fault “some cases children do not like car travel, this may be the case with your child” , we tried different car seat on a rental car and our bub didn’t resist that one. After coming home, it didn’t take too long for him to resist going on this car seat again.
My baby has several other products where he sits on, redsbaby pram, babybjorn bouncer/carrier, fisher price sit up chair, he is fine and comfortable in all of them. In fact, if anyone is looking for baby pram - you can’t go wrong with Redsbaby Metro, highly recommended. It’s only the Britax B first car seat which he resists to sit on, I don’t blame him as he looks super uncomfortable, he’s supposed to sit on it but there’s no support on his bottom as you can see on the video.
This product looks nice and premium but sitting position is “V” where baby’s bottom doesn’t even touch the car seat, we are putting nappies or wraps while using the car seat and it’s a shame we aren’t even planning any trips close by because of this stupid car seat.
Absolutely regret buying this product and Britax has the most appallingly horrible customer service, they simply don’t care so I am raising a complain to ACCC documenting the sitting position of baby which clearly shows gap between his bottom and the car seat.

Faulty – Faulty Rubbish - Avoid - Regarding Britax Safe n Sound B First - the click tight ‘twist push’ does not align with the release mechanism. The pop rivets have pulled through clean of the plastic. This is a major failure and the seat is unsafe. The company are hard to contact and horrible to deal with (online chat). AVOID IF YOU have a EURO CAR, specifically a VOLVO. It is not up to ISO Standards & NOT Compatible with Volvos – After purchasing this seat, we discovered its not compatible to ISO standards or our vehicle. We have tried two brand new versions of the Britax Safe-n-Sound B-First seat, both were professionally installed. unstable upon professional installation. Due the standard of design not being compatible with our car / European vehicles. This was raised with Britax and the retailer whom we purchased the seat from, as with the installer. Britax Engineers informed the retail staff that they could not confirm this carseat is compatible with European Cars and specifically our Volvo XC40 2020 model. Britax further said it is not up to ISO Standards, only Australian Standards. This is a terrible seat if you have a Volvo car or likely any European model. Friends who have an XC90 Volvo informed us that they have had the same experience, that the carseat was not stable and also switched brands. Simply put the design does not work, beware if you have a volvo, get an ISO Fix seat instead, and one that is upto ISO Standards.

Comfortable - safe - so easy to install – We are really happy with the B-First seat. It’s super easy to install. We’ve had to install both rear and forward facing seats about 8 times since we’ve had them and it takes us about 5-10 mins. The kids love them. They often fall asleep in it (win!). Very comfortable. are going on our second holiday tomorrow with this car seat and it has been so easy to install in a hire care both quickly and safely. It is actually a lot less bulky than the capsule and takes up far less room in our car. We used it as the new born function several times in my husbands car also and our baby looked so comfortable :)
Fantastic Car seat – This car seat fixes into place so securely! The mechanism built into the car seat to lock the seat in place works really well. I've had carseats in the past that loosen over time and you are tightening up the tension strap, or refixing. This has not occurred and we have been using it for nearly 6 months.
