British Paints Clean Protect Semi Gloss

Three months later and still making an awful smell – Painted living room over existing paint doing a room renovation. Took three and some spots four coats to cover walls and stop previous colour showing through. Had colour mixed at Bunnings. Obviously you expect a smell with new paint. But three months later if there is any humidity the room stinks. We have to run the AC to dry the air so the smell stops. Then if you open a window the odour comes out of the paint again. Clearly smell it when you sniff the walls. It’s a toxic gift that keeps giving. Of course after the paint we had new carpet put in so painting the walls again is a cost, inconvenience and risk of staining new carpet. (Put same carpet in all other rooms, it is not the smell). Used different paint in other rooms and they are all ok. Just this paint constantly releasing awful smell and opening a window only makes it worse! Had to clean a wall and it marks easily leaving water marks. Do not recommend using this paint. What can I do!

Solid – Solid paint.... Covers well and dries to a lovely finish. Easy to apply via roller and cutting in is easy as the paint flows well. Used in conjunction with British paints primer sealer products... Good paint...

This paint is a terrible waste of money!! – I am very unhappy with the results of this product. The coverage is terrible. As the roller goes over it removes what has just gone on. What is worse is I have more. I have used cheap paint that was far better. I prepped properly first. Not happy. What am I supposed to do now? Sand it off? Left it to dry for a day and tried to go over it. It is only getting worse. Day 2 and the roller is removing yesterdays paint!!!

Is this paint – Bought black for my feature wall did the shake thing with no colour change to the wall. That’s was a surprise. Just no colour change. Changed for another product and wham I have a black wall.
