Around 3–4 pm today, the staff member who was working seemed unhappy that we came in to purchase food. She did not greet us and appeared to show preference in greeting only certain customers, particularly those with white skin. Her attitude came across as unwelcoming and uninterested in doing her job, which made the experience uncomfortable. On… Read more
top of that, the vanilla cream buns stored in the cooler had a strong vegetable smell, which raised concerns about freshness and food storage standards.

So Brumbys chain is being sold off due to poor performance in sales. I could never understand why brumbys have the concept of keeping the racks full of product right up until closing. That in itself is a huge problem and must impact margin erosion in the wastage and the idea of having bakers working at midnight went out the window long ago. There… Read more
are some solutions to remedy a failing concept like this to the industry, however I do feel for the franchisee who have to suck up these costs of a failing business model.
Good bread but sadly I am tired of returning loaves of white bread which have large numbers of holes. Bought two last week, both plenty of holes. I have counted 8 loaves returned over a period of time for replacement. One staff member tried to charge me for a replacement loaf! Show details

Bread – Love brumbys bread but sadly large holes in the middle of loaf are a regular thing making it expensive Show details
Missed – Ok I wasn't a fan at all of Brimby's But Because I saw a Sourdough bread , who looked abs6 beautiful I bought one! $6 ! not cheap for a chain..But I give it a go !! It is terrible Dense, heavy, not a inch of this ama6 sourdough taste (a tiny bit of acidity, that Is the characteristic of the sourdough) No salt at all Absolutely TASTELESS.!! How… Read more
you managed that???My husband think that it seems your "starter" was dead old or whatever ... Go simply to Coles buy their sourdough bread (Laurent ,French baker brand) And please tryit .In short Brumby 's is absolutely bad. (and they charge like they are Artisan's maker Oh A little note 2yrs ago someone offered me for Xmas a bag of Xmas bun..= direct in the bin) PS Are all the stores the same Or I had no luck

Gluten Free pie experience – Just tasted the GF beef pie. As a coeliac, it made my day to be able to go to a bakery and have a pie! Well done Brumby's I love it!
Good but pricey, try the cheese bread – Brumbys have a delicious cheese bread, it is a ridiculously cheesy bread, you eat it like it is or toast it, and spread butter on it. It is so good. It’s not sickly rich, but has the right amount of cheese and flour, satisfying! Only thing, it is often sold out, so get there early. I have also bought the vanilla slice and some pastries, which are good, but this cheese bread is awesome.
OMG SO YUMMY – This bakery have delicious food and lovely friendly staff. Their food is flavourful and delicious! Their layout is very neat and appealing and it is easy to have a view at many of the available delicious options. Their staff are always welcoming and friendly. They also have a wide range of drinks. And all of their product are really fresh! Overall this bakery is really great. Would recommend! ☺️

Creamless cream horns, don't buy – Great pies but steer clear from buying the cream horns. The cream they put in is probs only the size of a small girls thumb length and the bottom of the past is always burnt and the rest of the pasrt is empty Talk about being conservative.. disappointed to say the least. Purchased from Brunbys Karama. No longer a customer. Show details
Not sourdough bread – Bought a sourdough loaf from Brumbys Inglewwood W.A.. It tastes nothing like sourdough bread and should not be marketed or sold as a sourdough loaf. Very disappointing for $8.00.
33 percent rise on wholemeal rolls – Wholemeal rolls use to be 90 cents each,Now the greed has seen the implications of all wholemeal must be hi fibre wholemeal,So a 33 per cent rise has lost me.Will not be back.Disgusting Greed just as major companies are doing in this once Great country. Apple Turnovers – Very disappointed that the Apple Turnovers are not being made with puff pastry anymore. I have been buying these for years now & feel that the quality is not there with the new pastry. Show details

Wrong cake – Ok so I ordered a caramel mud cake a few days ago ,paid upfront and we got it today for my boys bday ,it was a chocolate sponge cake not a caramel mud cake and the writing on it was messy, tryed ringing the shop and got no answer ,tryed ringing there mobile and got a rude unhelpful lady Show details
Bread in many shapes and looks but same dough/flavor inside – Bread shops seem to cook different bread shapes and look but the taste all the same piece of tasteless, chewy dough. Bought today a cheese-chives-garlic loaf at Brumby''s for 7.80, in Logan Nursery Road. Bread cooked with vegetable oil tasted awful and tasteless, meaning, a good taste. Sure they could put a bit of effort in making it tasty for that price. They ensure to grab the money but we have to put the food in the bin. Show details
Worst cheese and bacon saugage roll – Possibly had worse, but the saugage roll from Brumby's in Swan View, WA was terrible. Couldnt eat it all and ended up in the bin Show details
Worst ready made rolls ever – How is it you can get away with ripping people of at 8 /9 dollars for a roll that contains 1 slice of meat a cheese slice , I've been going to brumbies for many many years and will not be going back ever your standards have slipped seriously and don't give me this rubbish about high food costs I'd be surprised if it cost you 2 dollars to produce… Read more
. Worst brumbies ever cannon vale airlie beach . Will never go back and do my best to let people know your ripping off the public
The local Brumby's used to be good – The Brumby's in Robina, QLD used to be a great bakery....great staff, plenty of goods to choose from, delicious pies. It has now changed hands and basically, never going back. How can you have a pie warmer that does not produce hot pies? Or have basically nothing to sell at lunch time?? The bread selection is abysmal but if you want all the cake you can eat, go there! And don't get me started on the staff! Ruined the place!! Show details
Gone down Hill! – I have lived and shopped in the Chirn Park district for the last 11 years. I’m not sure what is now happening at Brumbys!!! Disappointed a lot!!! The bead size has become smaller, fact! I called in and picked up a custard tart, dreadful, soggy bottom. Last chance saloon today, the 2nd “Vanilla Slice” in the last month, again dreadful not what it used to be, shame on you!! Will not be back Show details
Bakers make fun of mask rules and wear them under their noses – Brumby's Glenfield had the counter staff wearing masks properly and acting within guidelines but their baker is wearing his mask under nose and sagging off mouth. I realise he is working in hot conditions but surely there is a better way to manage this. The sight of him had me fork out for a bread maker and I haven't been back. In these hard times reconsider your own safety. Show details
Looking for a good sourdough loaf. Didn't find it – On holidays in a large Victorian country town. The area is probably not touristy enough for there to be an artisanal. I never quibble paying extra and for what amounts to be the price of a coffee you can get a great loaf that lasts. Anyway I found a Brumbys and bought the sourdough. Unfortunately this bread has the same texture as a fresh white… Read more
standard loaf you'd by in any supermarket. I suggest they don't sell specialist bread because they can't make it. The positive is that its still fresh after 2 days so they have used a non standard additive. I have found bread from Brumbys and Bakers Delight is designed to only be soft for the day its made and the next day its dry and rock hard.
Disappointing – Purchased the fruit hot cross buns this morning from Brumbys Emerald. The dough was underwhelming and buns had limited fruit. Brumbys I believe you could offer a better product! Show details

Disappointed – I used to work at brumbys I loved the veggie pasties and long johns were to die for Stale and half sized Pasties like a no name brand for 75c terrible Nothing like it used to be Show details
Horrible Compared to Bakers delight – Went into Brumby's in Belmont as I was just driving through, I wasn’t impressed with the state the shop was in. I brought a bred roll and some donuts they were stale never will I go into a Brumby's again. Show details
Worst fruit bread I've ever seen – Bought a fruit loaf from the Winthrop store this morning and couldn't be more disappointed. Barely any fruit at all in an insubstantial dough. Felt like I was eating nothing. This is the meanest fruit loaf you could imagine. For the same price I could have bought a real one from Lawley's. Even a cheaper Tip Top would have been an order of magnitude better. To top it off, their feedback page doesn't work. Show details
Excellent Service at Brumbys Wavell Heights – Just want to say how fresh the bread was from Wavell heights bakery. The pies and donuts were extremely delicious. The owner of the bakery was very pleasant and helpful. Show details
Croissants – No flavour at all, except for some strange after-taste. It was overbaked, and about as far from a French croissant as you could get. I'm not too concerned about the cost but $3.50 for a croissant is not value for money. Very disappointing. Show details
Disappointed customer – Yesterday brought 6 fruit buns, today gave four fruit buns to the birds, hard, hardly any fruit, expensive for what you got, very disappointed, as it was all my 82 year old husband wanted to eat, has no taste after extensive sickness..never again. Show details
They sell the best pies – Every 1st Sunday I go there with Mandy and she buys a Shepherd's Pie for me and a Chicken and Leek for herself also she buys a Chocolate Ball for us to share. She also buys me a Spinach and Cheese to take home. The staff are kind to her and the service is quick. Show details
staff unaware of the products on website – My partner went into the Beechboro road store and asked for the low fod map loaf shown on Brumbys website, He was told this good for stomach and sold a white loaf lo gi.high fibre loaf, a totally different product. This isnt good enough, I rang the store and they said they dont have low fodmap. Had i of eaten what they gave my partner i would… Read more
have had two days pain.
I went into Swan View Brumbys , and asked for low fodmap, they had no idea what i was talking about. Surely these people before being sold a franchise should be educated about the breads on the website and what they are mixing. I complained to head office and was offered a voucher, but what good is a brumbys voucher when i can only eat low fodmap bread and they dont sell it , just put it on their website. Bakers delight hjave a low fodmap loaf and were quite knowledgeable about it. Sorry but from now on i will only use Bakers delight
Not so great! – Was surprised to see blueberry muffins back in store today. As they are my favourite I had to get one. Sadly it was very dry and not pleasant. Disappointing to say the least.
Impressive Customer Service – I want to commend the baker/server at Epsom Village store, Shane, for his customer service skills. I had informed him that I was unsuccessful in registering my Brumby's card online and he offered to register it for me using the store tablet. I appreciated this as well as his friendly and helpful approach. Also commend the staff at this store for their overall friendly customer service.
Tasteless Coffees from a Pod Machine – I ordered 2 coffees, a skinny cappuccino and a long black, at the Moorooka store at 4.23pm today, for which I was charged $9. I received two coffees that were so weak they hardly tasted of coffee. In fact, the colour of the long black resembled a very weak tea. As my coffee looked unpalatable, I returned to the counter immediately and told… Read more
the person who made the coffees that they were extremely weak. He then gave me another shot of coffee in a small cup to add to my long black, however, the resultant coffee was still very dilute.
The cappuccino also had very little coffee in it, and I would have returned the cappuccino had my wife told me not to bother.
I'm extremely disappointed in the sub-standard coffee (made using a pod machine) served here, especially when I was charged $9 for essentially two cups of mainly water.
This very unpleasant experience has completely put me off the Brumby's Bakery brand and I'll never patronise their stores again.
