Budget Direct Last Minute Travel Insurance

Dont buy Budget Direct Travel Insurance – I bought Budget Direct Travel Insurance to cover my husband and I whilst travelling to Fiji 1/2/2020 return 10/2/2020. flooded. No cars, bikes, or trucks could cross. We were flooded in. We lodged a claim with Budget Direct and after a long time waiting for a claim number, then another 4 weeks without communication. We supplied all supporting documents required to make a claim. Budget Direct decided Not to honour our claim. The reason last minute budget direct travel insurance does not cover for natural disaster ie flood. We purchased the insurance 23rd January 2020. Not last minute. We feel ripped off! Why have travel insurance! Shame on budget travel insurance

We had a save feeling for a good price – We had a look at the T&Cs which seemed to be reasonable and got a good feeling for the price we paid. The online platform was easy to navigate.
