In 2023 we purchased a new Izuzu MUX from BMG as we wanted a local dealer that would deal with any problems that were experienced and maintain a sense of loyalty to local business, plus also the addition that it had a 7 year warranty. Just recently… Read more
(2026) we started experiencing sensor issues (Forward Collision Warning / Lane Departure Warning) intermittently lighting on the dashboard. This had occurred on 4 occasions over a period of a month. BMG assessed the issue through their diagnostic system and came back that no problem had been identified. We argued that we had provided photographic evidence of the occasions that it had intermittently activated independently of us. BMG argued that as no problem had been identified through their diagnostic system we were required to pay a fee, even though the Izuzu MUX is under a 7 year warranty. No amount of arguing and providing evidence of the issue would change their minds about the fee payment. We argued the issue was identified by us, we had provided photographic evidence, the matter should have been resolved under warranty. Their response, it is their policy that fees would be charged unless diagnosed. It was also brought to our notice that this is a COMMON problem with Izuzu vehicles. So there is a common problem, yet BMG demanded payment. What they failed to explain is what effect the sensor lights automatically coming on would affect the safety and integrity of the vehicle. Their response was keep monitoring the issue!
Follow-up · Has the issue happened again - Yes. Still not known what causes the sensor indicators lightening up and still not known if this impacts safety.

I received a recall on my new vehicle, was going away but booked my vehicle in for when I got home which was 4 weeks later. I was available both via email and phone whilst away. Got a confirmation email 2 days before appointment date to make sure… Read more
the vehicle was still coming in. I am 70kms out of Bundaberg, but arrived on time only to find out that the parts for the vehicle had not arrived. I then drove 70kms home as the only reason I was in town was for the vehicle recall. When I queried as to why a confirmation of arrival message had been sent, I was told that it was an automative email issued. I cannot believe that BMG did not have the courtesy to contact me and save me a 140km round trip. I don't have a problem with the part being unavailable, but I have a huge problem with the discourtesy shown by the staff. I am a very disgruntled customer!
Follow-up · I was contacted for a rebooking 2 weeks after the first booking. The recall was for a software issue. Yes the courtesy bus was available fir a drop off and pick up.
I reviewed a 1 star because there’s no lower option. It’s pretty sad when even the manager can’t get a part right. Purchased 2 oil filters today for 2023 outback and was sold filters for Forester. 100 klm round trip not once but twice to purchase… Read more
and return. Staff pointed out to manager he sold the wrong part, response was “ did I” and walked away. There’s a reason I don’t get car serviced there. Bundaberg service need a huge over haul. Do getter BMG.
Follow-up · There is no follow up. BMG Simply don’t care.
Mind blowing how these guys are still in business. Specifically the service department. All i needed was a quote to repair something. 7 times I’ve rang asking for the quote to be sent. 7 times i wasted my breath. If you want decent service, go… Read more
somewhere else. I won’t be buying any brand these [Content Removed] service, absolutely no service or urgency at all.
Follow-up · This just gets worse as time goes on. After 6 months of getting dicked around we finally get a booking for the part (thermastor) to be replaced, only to take the car in and they don’t even have the part there to replace it! Incompetence at its finest. Can’t wait to sell this car just to avoid these people.

Had my car in for an inspection recently.Shaphel was wonderful. Both her and Jonno were curteous, knowledgable and extremely helpful.I left BMG totally satisfied. I have no hesitation in recommending your Hyundai service staff and technicians to prospective customers.
Great experience with BMG. Friendly staff, professional service and everything was handled efficiently. Very happy with the service and would definitely recommend them.
Amazing experience with the friendly team at BMG. Communication was on point! My car was serviced and ready in the timeframe expected, the team are lovely to deal with, could not have asked for better.

During a recall on our 2 month old Nissan x-trail, our vehicle was returned damaged. BMG service manager inspected the damage and agreed it looked new as there was white paint still on our red car. Took four working days to get back to us to decide… Read more
that the service dept were not at fault and damage was done prior to recall. We deny this but realise BMG wont take responsibility. Very disappointing both with outcome and the fact that we had to keep asking if the video tapes of the work carried out on our vehicle had been watched, four days come on!
Follow-up · Never heard from them after they said it wasnt their service people that damaged our car
Be aware buying a car from this lot can be a huge mistake they will not look after you when things go wrong also selling rusty cars that they were aware of be aware of chassis that have been painted .
I've just read the previous reviews. BMG service department is non existent in my recent experience. Used incorrect contact details as an excuse to not contact me regarding repairs when they send emails to me prior to my issues and then don't follow-up on enquiries when given contact details again. I would definitely not recommend BMG for service… Read more
on a older (15+yrs) reliable car as they are not interested in being helpful with repairs on them. Why can't BMG just be honest and advise of no service or repairs on older but still good reliable cars to save the disappointment and negative reviews. Would make everyone's lives so much easier. Never again BMG. You've lost my buisness and others after we warn them about you and your service department. There's plenty of other better and more reliable businesses out there in bundy people!

Great service and friendly staff. The front staff were incredibly polite, took the time to listen to my concerns, and provided 100% upfront pricing transparency.
A shout out to bundaberg service centre at bmg, the lady I dealt with today and on my last service (I'm sorry I forgot her name) is an absolute treasure and they are lucky to have her also a shout out to Darren for washing my car, I've had a very tough 10 months and just a car wash and a friendly staff member makes my day so thank you.

Recently had car serviced, dealership under new ownership since my last visit. It was amazing. Recommend highly for your next service
A disappointing experience – I went to BMG to inquire about the rubber strips that run along your car roof and down around the edge of your windscreen. Ordered them in April, booked appt for fitting on May 9th. On arrival I was told it would take an hour, an hour and a half later, received a phone call, to inform me that the wrong part had been ordered. Rebooked appt, then… Read more
msgd me to say part not arrived, then rang to say yes it has arrived. Arrived for next appt waited for over 3 hours, only to be told that the parts they installed were damaged and would have to be replaced again. The part was indeed damaged and the plastic grill under my wiper arms did not sit properly, or flush to the rubber as it had before. Returned once again for part replacement, stood in reception for over 30 minutes with 3 others, with no staff at the counter whatsoever. When I finally was served, I requested to speak to the mechanic attending to my vehicle, I pointed out to him how the grill under my wipers no longer fit. He said it was because of the damaged part, collected my car, the grill still does not fit flush. The mechanic and supervisor I overheard, said while they were wiping the grill with protestant to make it look all nice and shiny, "just like new". To frustrated to even deal with them any longer.
Dissapointing Kia purchase – I picked up a brand new Kia Seltos in May 2023 only to find there was no cargo cover I was dismayed to discover Kia only supply a cargo cover to top of the range vehicles now .There wasn't an opportunity to purchase one as an aftermarket item as there was no stock.I was assured as soon as one came in one would obtained for me however never heard from the dealership again I am now thinking about trading the vehicle rest assured it wont be at BMG
Slack uncaring Services – Had to have 60.000k service even though my vehicle had only done 50.000k because the 12 months between service's had occurred. $416.00 for a mainly tick n flick service. Tried to get me to buy a new battery bought same size at a battery shop $70 cheaper Received car back three quarters of a hour after seeing ir return back from test drive with… Read more
greasy hand marks all over engine / bonnet steering wheel and other places. Service rang couple of days later to check my address claimed to know nothing of my negative survey submission but sent me a voucher for a car wash. Will be taking my car to another dealer in a nearby town / city for next service.
Ordering and service – Ordered a tow bar , was told by the receptionist it would be added on to the service otherwise will have to wait until it comes in. Arrived on the day , no tow bar was ordered. Finished the service was told the car had a complimentary wash , nope no wash. I don’t care about a wash but it just makes you look bad when things are not done. One lady who organised the tow bar was very good
Completely unprofessional - very disappointing – My son went into BMG used cars at Johanna Blvd Bundaberg to enquire about a vehicle, I accompanied him and witnessed what occurred. He had previously been to the dealership to look at a particular Nissan Patrol and was ready to take the car for a test drive. On speaking to the salesman, my son was told that unless he committed to making a deal… Read more
PRIOR to taking the vehicle for a drive, he could not. When my son queried this the saleman stated, "he couldn't just take the car for a drive, it isn't the way we do business here". As I recall the way it works is, look at the car, decide whether you're interested (do some homework on the vehicle) and then take the car for a drive to see how it feels. It's up to the salesman to sell the vehicle, not the perspective buyer's responsibility to convince the saleman they should be allowed to make the purchase! Of course my son wasn't going to commit to anything before driving the car so we left, went to another dealership up the road where the sale people are professionals and my son went from there. I'm sure that dealership will, be very grateful for the business.
Ridiculous – We have a 2016 i30 Hyundia, no longer under warranty & out of fixed price services. Rang BMG to enquire about price of a service as it is coming up for 6 years old. I was told that unless I give them the rego or vin number they cannot tell me how much it will cost. A motor group that do not know how much they charge for a basic service… as I said ridiculous.
