BUYER BEWARE We purchased a phone advertised as brand new, however it was clearly not new and had issues from the start. The seller instructed us to purchase a second phone and return the first, promising a refund. We followed this in good faith. We are now left with two faulty phones that no longer work, no refund, and no resolution despite… Read more

repeated contact. Based on this experience, the seller’s conduct appears deceptive and consistent with a scam. They have retained both the devices and our money. This matter has been reported to the ACCC and a police report has been lodged. Further action is being taken to identify the company and any links within Australia

Complete lack of communication – I bought a OnePlus7T from this company in January 2020 and it's been a great phone but it's now time for an upgrade. The OnePlus 10 Pro is listed on their site at what appears to be a good price but their listing is irregular so I contacted the company to clarify the pricing of one particular variant of the phone. I received no reply. I followed… Read more

up by email twice more and still received no reply so I turned to social media. I contacted them by Facebook Messenger and still they do not reply.

I'd hate to think what it'd be like if I was to buy another product from them and have a problem that require invoking my rights under consumer warranty.

I would not recommend buying from this company.

Buyer beware – I ordered a lens on April 1st through eBay. The expected delivery was April 15 - 18. When they 18th came and went I asked for tracking details. They told me they don't deliver to my post code and that they sent me a message at the time. I didn't see the message and the order was never cancelled, nor the money refunded. They have now agreed to refund me after one or two angry messages.  Show details

Lowest price than any other, but don't expect warranty – Bought a new OPPO from them, knew that is a grey import oversea product, but surprisingly it has Google installed and shipped in 5 business days from local warehose. They offer very limited warranty, if you decide to buy a cheap grey import product, don't expect too much about warranty. Consider it's almost half of RRP and a good mobile brand… Read more

has faulty rate less than 1%. It worth the risk, i would still buy from them.

Buy from their website just pay with paypal, it's same thing and cheaper than ebay. Although their website looks crap

Great experience for first time – I bought a Nikon D3500, good communication from seller back and forth no matter what I ask he replies. What's the problem here? I don't know why there are so many complainers.. Show details

Warranty claim seller not communicating – I purchased a Poco F2 Pro via eBay after it had some small issues, but then got worse and the fingerprint scanner stopped working altogether causing the phone to not turn on sometimes at all. I contacted buybuybox via eBay and they were very prompt to respond and kept advising me to return the device. I was skeptical all along and why I didn't… Read more

want to return the device, but it wasn't hardly working at all, so I sent it back. Wishing I just opted to pay to fix it myself. After returning the device buybuybox won't return my messages on eBay. eBay say it's not their problem, but I've reported buybuybox to them as potential scammers. This has been very frustrating as I buy items from over seas all the time and never have issues. Though I've almost never had to return anything. Buybuybox is likely ok if you don't run into an issue with your device, but if you want to return it, just don't do it as it will likely never be seen again

Warranty Claims Handled Poorly/Ignored – I purchased a Huawei P30 Lite from their Ebay store, and for the first month it was ok. However, the phone started turning off randomly, even when the battery appeared to be full. I decided to get it fixed under warranty, and I sent it off to BuyBuyBox. Up until that point, they had been extremely helpful and replied quickly, however once the item… Read more

was delivered back to them, they went cold, and I haven't heard anything back yet. I'm trying to get my phone back from them, but it's very difficult.

Personally, I'd avoid these guys, but as with most Ebay phones, there's always an aspect of risk

Scammers – Bought a Sony phone from BuyBuyBox. Whilst it was still under warranty, had to send it back for repair as the phone had a number of faults. After 3 months, it was finally returned to me with even more faults. They convinced me to send the phone back to them. Following that, they did not respond to any of my messages, nor did they respond to… Read more

messages from ebay asking them to contact me. I never saw the phone again $900 down the drain. BuyBuyBox; scammers and not to be trusted

Don't go here – Purchased a phone but then discovered warranty is overseas and will take one month. Product is grey market which means local support is unavailable. They refused to cancel order and say item shipped even though I cancelled the transaction prior to them shipping. Show details

Be very careful before you order any product – Hong Kong drop shipping Company [name removed] is the person who is in charge. I ordered my phone they keep trying refund my money but not sending my phone more than 15 days. I bought more than 4 phones some of them broken easily. Pay a little more but yet quality products. Not reliable seller. Show details

Dont go there – Paid for the item I purchased on ebay via paypal and was then told that they did not have it. They offered to keep my money until the item came back in stock. This would be fine but the item I purchased went out of production 5 years ago and therefore would not be coming back in stock anytime soon. They did refund my money but I was out of pocket for 1week for an item they sold and never had.

Phone sent back for warranty and never seen – Bought from ebay Buybuybox store. Sent a phone back on 1/4/2019 and the seller keeps stating they haven't received yet. Googled the store and many a time, the buyer's never able to see the phone again, and can't get money back if paypal 6 month guarantee expires. Show details

Stay Away – They have stolen my phone. Warranty is useless. Bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge 12 months ago. After 6 months the screen turned a green and pink tinge. We contacted them and were told to send the phone back. We did and a few weeks later our phone was returned but now the phone would no longer read a sim card. Again we contacted them and were told… Read more

to send it back. This was 4 months ago. We heard from them only once to tell us they were waiting on parts. I have emailed them regularly to try to find out what was happening but they never reply. My brand new phone is 12 months old and they have had it for a total of 6 months. EBay have not helped at all, even though one of their shops have been so dishonest.

Terrible service - No customer service and No replies from anyone – I ordered a OnePlus5 from the website and having paid by PayPal, glad I did this rather than credit card, I have had no correspondence from the supplier despite filling in their online enquiry form. The website says that it is normally dispatched between 1-3 days and a week later I have not received anything or any emails. I have lodged a PayPal… Read more

support case. Avoid buying anything from this website. Seems like a one man company and believe their 12/24/36 months warranty is worthless. Better to pay a little more and get some service.

Worked very well in my case – I bought Samsung A9 from their website, which was 10% cheaper than ebay. The delivery was very fast and reliable, I could tracked it all along the way. I got my phone after 3 days, which was a surprise. The phone was brand new, Google Play installed, it was a HK version. The price of course was amazing. Will definitely buy again.

Dodgy Website, Exceptional Service – At first glance, the website is extremely dodgy, there is no https:// or ssl connection. And the website takes about 10 seconds to load from the basic HTML to the designed site. I bought a OnePlus 3T from them in Janurary, extremely satisfied when the phone arrived on New Years Eve! Through DPEX and Toll Shipping, who else ships on New Years… Read more

Eve! The phone broke when i dropped it down 3 flights of stairs, but thats my fault.

So i bought a OnePlus 5 from them a few days ago, arrived quick, just like the OnePlus 5. They are the best supplier of OnePlus phones for Australia. They are the cheapest you'll ever find, they are cheaper than the official OnePlus website.

Ignore those bad reviews, they are hate comment. I have had a great time with these guys!

Well Good for Me – After seeing the horror stories online of second hand and broken phones from this seller I decided to take a video of the unboxing to ensure that I could prove I got what I asked for, worst thing you could have is an empty box! It was wrapped in an air pocket and the box was sealed. It was definitely a new phone and I could not be happier. Yes,… Read more

they ship from Hong Kong using TOLL. I am fine with that. Take precautions guys. I used their eBay store and paid via PayPal for extra safety. Responded well to questions and prompt. No issues here. Get a decent case and screen protector. Protect your investment and do not buy crap brands. I got a really good price for this!

Bought 3 phones in 2 years and have no problems – I've just bought my new one plus 5 phone with them last Friday and arrived next Tuesday, I've seen the reviews and I think people need to relax and be patient... On the website u can clearly track the progress of the shipment after u have paid.. just enter your number and it will tell u the updates of it has been shipped out not... I did notice… Read more

they didn't send me a confirmation email about the item I bought but I've been checking updates on the website and it was shipped later in the afternoon and depx shipping website emailed me for my tracking... I think the past 3 times I ordered with them I had no single problem and everything was in great condition.. I will order with them again one day when I need to buy a new phone cause there price is very cheap... I haven't had the chance to talk to them about anything so not sure how the customer service is like.. but everything was smooth and this is not a scam website ... As long I paid with PayPal your money is secured anyways if anything happens... Happy buying guys

BUYBUYBOX and Perfect Mission are both the same company – Buybuybox and perfect mission are the same company and be careful in fact DON'T use them. I recently bought a phone from them. 5 days and no reply. I paid through Paypal and thank god I'm protected. Paypal lodged a case with this company and all buybuybox say is and I quote" its a holiday here and you'll be sent an email when it's sent" nothing… Read more

more. Now two days later and still nothing.

I checked their registered office in Australia in Perth and had it visited by a friend. It's an old house in a residential street, when my friend knocked on the door, the person who answered said they know nothing about buybuybox or perfect mission.

So here i am sitting wondering if every I will receive the phone or my money back from Paypal.

STAY AWAY!

Terrible – Samsung Note Edge was purchased in Mar. 2016. It got a green screen in Dec. 2016. Contacted with Buybuybox, they suggested sending the mobile back to Hongkong to check. They received the mobile in Jan. 2017 with sending me a confirm message. Then no more feedback in a whole month. Finally, AU $567.88 was paid and cheated, and nothing got. Good luck, Buybuybox.

Phone was good, but sent him for repair and never come back – As told in the main title, I bought a HK based phone. Was an HTC so was expensive as well. Paid a lots, for it, and customs as well. Then the phone arrived to me in a week, was good but after less 1 year I got HW issue and I sent it to them for repair it. Once they got the phone they never reply me back to emails and gave me any news. I am still waiting. Probably they will keep the phone and sell it again (I think).

Ordered and received item a week after - Perfect – I ordered a Mi Pad 2 from their ebay store on Friday and paid. Payment processing was completed on Tuesday and they despatched it the next day. I received my tablet 2 days later on Friday. Was really amazed and impressed with this turnaround time. Seller communicated with me throughout the whole way as I was worried it might not make it in time , it was a birthday present. Would recommend this retailer.

Excellent Service! Product as expected – Bought an ASUS smartphone, product arrived and was certified genuine. 8 months later the phone began to malfunction. I contacted buybuybox as it was still under warranty. I sent it back, was repaired for free and sent back in working order again. One of the simplest on line repairs I have done. Would definitely recommend. Good prices as well. This review is from 2013.

No product in stock – I bought and paid for a Nikon Teleconverter. After six days I heard nothing so I asked what was happening with my order. instead they refunded my money. It is fairly clear they didn't have the item in stock. This will be the last time I deal with the company.

Poor communication, advertise items not in stock
