Cadbury Dairy Milk

Dont be fooled with the "price of cocoa" con. Even when cocoa prices were at their highest, it cost them less than 19 cents of cocoa for each 180g block. Their profit last year was $17billion. Its just rubbish now, mostly made of just sugar. Absolute greed.

Cadbury chocolate has become a national disgrace, instead of a creamy texture that melts in your mouth it now has a gluggy texture and chemical after taste. Such a shame that they have changed the recipe and quality for profit......

Cadbury is the best chocolate there's no substitute. Everyone raves about Whittaker chocolate so I tried it the other day, I just don't like it's flavour I'll stick Cadbury chocolate

Has now has less cocoa plenty of oil and sugar, low quality. Ohh also they've shrunk the size to make more profit. Since company got sold out they don't make the same quality chocolates as they used to.

disappointing, because Dairy Milk has been my favourite chocolate for most of my life.

I completely understand the commercial pressures businesses face. Cocoa prices have risen dramatically, and I appreciate that manufacturers have to deal with increasing costs, shrinkflation, and other financial challenges. However, changing the core recipe to the point where loyal customers no longer enjoy the product seems like a risky long-term decision.

From what I've seen, I'm certainly not alone in feeling this way. ProductReview.com.au currently has a very low customer rating, with thousands of reviews averaging around 1.5 stars. While online reviews don't tell the whole story, they do suggest that many long-time customers have noticed similar changes.

I'd much rather pay a little more for the original Dairy Milk recipe than buy a cheaper version that no longer tastes like the chocolate I grew up with. For me, the flavour was what made Cadbury special.

I hope this feedback reaches the people responsible for product development. I'm not writing simply to complain—I genuinely miss the Cadbury Dairy Milk I enjoyed for decades, and I hope you'll consider listening to the many loyal customers who feel the same way.

Yes, Prime Minister, the CPI is 3.8%, but some companies are increasing their prices by 20% a year. The price of chocolate has doubled over the last 5 years. This chocolate oligopoly is holding Australian consumers to ransom. The government should step in to stop the price rip-off.

I used to love this chocolate bc it was so creamy and rich. I stopped eating it for 5 years bc of it's soy content, then I tried it again recently and it is revolting. I, along with others no doubt are sick and tired of Cadbury downsizing their blocks whilst charging the same price! The larger blocks, which were 360gms are now 315gms. Every cadbury chocolate is tasting horrible toooo sweet recipe has changed absolutely grossly taste, come on big CEO s and owners you are running the business in wrong direction surely the reviews tell a story.

The recipe changes have rendered this chocolate to inedible. The last big block I bought was horrible beyond measure. I ate a little, spat it out rather than swallowing, and threw the rest of the block away. Cadbury chocolate used to be delicious, it used to be advertised as having “a glass and a half of full cream dairy milk in every 200 gram block”, Now it just tastes of chemical poisons. Ruined!!!

I thought I might buy a plain block of cadbury because it would have less sugar than caramel. It seems that the chocolate recipe changes for the plain block. Why else would the sugar content exceed or match those filled with a sweet goo? a kilo of sugar is a dollar or 2, meaning 180g is approx. $0.20 •Milk powder, $10/kg, $2/180g. •Cocoa is only approx. $25/kilo, meaning approx $5/180g. •Cacao butter can be bought for around $50/kilo, meaning approx. $10/180g.

Obviously there is a cost to make it but also big companies have access to buy things much cheaper than us. Let's add these 4 approx. costs and divide by 4 to keep it at 180g worth. Keep in mind an extra 20g is in the calculation, 20g which was taxed from the block before. $17.20÷4=$4.30.

What is the profit when we consider 20g was stolen and that this is going off local prices, not commercial prices? At LEAST half the block is sugar so we can say that we are paying $4 for 100g of sugar if we pay the full $8.
