started trying just one again before buying a box but other than the size reduction, they couldn't have changed anything else, right? It's a Picnic.

Not anymore. They now pale in comparison to cheap knock offs. The first thing I noticed was just how small it was, then the disgusting cheap "chocolate" smell. Cadbury chocolate quality has dropped off a lot from what it once was, but this was below par even for that. No more chewy caramel either but instead an unpleasant dry, hard and brittle "something". There was nothing of the original Picnic taste or texture left. It was like a weird plastic that just kind of broke in my mouth then tasted like cheap stale chocolate covered peanuts. After that was another horrible chemical aftertaste which won't go away.

I don't usually review food products and things do change over the years, but this was such a drastic difference from what it once was that it really shouldn't be sold as the same product anymore. They may have changed things bit by bit over years, but every part of the original has long since been replaced and they no longer have the product people want.

Even the yellow on the packet is faded from what it was and soon enough they will do away with colour completely but it won't matter, as by then they will probably just be selling little packets of fake chocolate scented air.

I have 23 bars left so I now have to find 23 people I don't like or play 23 toilet pranks.

Not the same taste – The bar's have shrunk yet again and there's a difference in the taste, it's like a petroleum aftertaste and it seems to leave a burning sensation in the mouth. They'll say nothing has changed but I'm sure it has. No more picnic for me! Show details

Limitations of eating this chocolate: Makes you thirsty, leading to dissatisfaction Chocolate has an addictive quality due to the amount of sugar, occasionally causing overconsumption which can lead to emotional stress and/or physical stress (e.g. stummy feeling sickly, headaches) The inclusion of nuts can sometimes mean that these chocolate bars are not chosen for a party or social occasion due to high population of people with nut allergies. Multiple flavours increases likelihood of someone not enjoying the bar, as there are more flavours available to potentially dislike.

There are more strengths to limitations of eating Cadbury's Picnic bar, however I found that the limitations outweigh the strengths. This is because many of the strengths surrounded the concept of tastiness – a subjective concept – while most of the limitations surrounded health and convenience. According to the information in these lists, eating Cadbury's Picnic bars can be a healthy, enjoyable experience, as long as they are eaten in moderation with individual and other's health in mind.

wow it's really changed - and for the worse – I haven't had a Picnic for some years and remember it as delightful and having a bit of a chew to it... Today I had one and it was DRY and hard.. Shame – Sorry very disappointed, its one picnic that would leave me still hungry afterwards, thought better of you cadbury's. Sorry if this sounds personal but as personal experiences go it left me wanting.

Like a solid lump of nuts,absolutely terrible – I very just purchased a four pack of Cadbury picnics and it was like eating a solid nut it was terrible, I normally buy a box from amazon, and they are the older ones and you can taste the raisins and caramel they're lovely, but these are terrible ,if that's what they're like now I definitely won't be buying anymore, incase I end up with that… Read more

Best chocolate, no debate required – Absolutely love this! The chocolate was so succulent and the peanuts made my face swell with joy. I felt sick after but I'm pretty sure that's not related. 100% recommend.

Failure – This used be my number 1 bar for 35years. I’m gutted to say that this is no longer the case and after the one I just had may never buy one again. A huge disappointment. What is it and whats next a crumb of choc in a wrapper. Seems like execs met KPIs to reduce costs but at what cost. Not smart to alter quality so much you lose customers.

Nice tasking - but they have just shrunk AGAIN ! – I am sure we are so damn annoying at the ever shrinking size of confectionary and especially Cadbury. Just purchased a Picnic (I usually get a couple every week) and once again it has shrunk in size. 46g And if I'm wrong about this being a new low, then the one I had must have shrunk on the way home because it is smaller than usual. @ $0.85 ITS OK, @ $2.20, FORGET IT – As with all Cadbury chocolates, they're absolute failures in taste and price. However, with Woolworths discounting Picnic to $0.85, that's ok, because that's all they are worth. 1990 = 100g, 2000 = 80g, 2010 = 52g, 2014 = 48g, 2016 = 42g and 2018 = 38g. At this rate, Coles miniature thingo's will be the actual size of everything we buy.

Cadbury Picnic – I like this product but for those who do not like the diameter of the bar, should try the Cadbury Picnic Family Block. It is absolutely YUM If you do not eat a lot of chocolate at any one time then this is probably the one for you Not yet available in smaller size in this form other than family block but like all Cadbury blocks they are resealable and will keep once open Yeah

Shrinking – Looks like the picnic bar is shrinking AGAIN. The manufacturers always deny this. It now weighs 38 grammes. No doubt the "NEW BIGGER SIZE" bar will be announced soon. The public know raw materials are costing more. Don't insult our intelligence. Just put the price up and save face.

Taste good – This is like the best chocolate bar ever, it's cheap and taste really good. It takes very little space too.

Another chocolate bar this shrinking in size – The Picnic bar is a favourite of mine but having been out of the country I found it had shrunk.

Good – I choose a Picnic bar when I am hungry and want chocolate as I know that it will satisfy the chocolate craving but also fill me up. great – the packaging looks really great and i like the adds, it makes the customer want to buy it. its awesome! its a nutty bar so any gay man will like it.

OK – This is a nice variety to try, not my favourite. Its too sweet for me, maybe its the caramel inside. Eating a whole bar would make me feel sick, whereas I could eat a whole of some other type. taste is awesome and hard to resist once you've had a bite - you'll need to finish the whole thing! Picnic bars are undoubtedly fattening and full of vitamin-leaching sugar, so not a good choice if you're trying to look after yourself. They also contain nuts, so watch out if your allergic or around people who are.

would be that it's a little chunky, but I'm aware that that would be why some people love it! I'm not that much of a fan of the taste, too much going on at once, but I do like the nut and the chocolate combo.

Bad – I generally don't eat Cadbury Picnic Bars that often because I like to keep my chocolate in the fridge. If you eat a Picnic Bar straight from the fridge, you risk chipping a tooth. Love anything with a caramel/toffee filling! wrapped in cadbury chocolate, wafer and peanuts - yum! comes in a few sizes and reasonably priced. Sold everywhere. sometimes the caramel is a bit hard.Always disappointed when I come to the end!

Excellent – I love any combination of peanuts, caramel & chocolate. It just works so well. The picnic is a great example of this and is thoroughly enjoyable. chocolate and peanut bars are readily available at many places such as service stations, super markets and news agents. Every one should try this great chocolate bar. Great chocolate and peanut treat. Cheap. People with Peanut Allergies would not be able to indulge in this yummy chocolate treat.
