Unable to connect my new Canon TS3460 printer to wifi, I have tried several times. The printer's LCD screen is displaying the wifi symbol but with an X next to it. Tonight, I decided to instal a different printing app from the play store....it picked up my printer immediately. Why has the Canon app been unable to do so ? I'm giving canon three… Read more
stars, only because they were quick to respond with possible solutions, even though it did not resolve the problem. I will be thinking hard before responding to their survey. BMC
This is the second replacement model. I had orginally chose this model due to it's auto duplex printing. What a HUGE mistake. It smudges/ghosting on the first page. I rung Canon, and after nearly an hour with them trying to fix it over the phone. She told me it is faulty and to return it to the store. The replacement printer is doing the same… Read more
thing, again I rung Canon a few times, till I got someone that actually said to send him a printout of what it is doing. He too was unsure of what to what to do. He told me that he will talk to his supervisor the next day and call me after he spoke with him. He called me and of course they could not recify the issue, and told me to take it back to Officeworks to get another model or a refund. I believe this is a FAULTY model, DO NOT purchase it. I will be returning it to Officeworks and definitely NOT buying another Canon.
Do not buy this product cheap and nasty as is the terrible service from Canon the operator i spoke to was just frustrating and was no help so angry I sent this printer to landfill
Canon responded to a product enquiry helpfully and efficiently within one day, providing a link to an online manual which I hadn't been able to locate, and specifically to the page relating to my enquiry. Many thanks.
Such a waste of money, never worked properly and paid top dollar for the turmoil of not being able to use it, piece of useless rubbish, never again beware people Show details
Canon Printer is a complete waste of money so very disappointed. Feeds thru blank pages but when you want to print something is won't work. Never ever again will I buy canon. Worst printer in the history of printing. Show details
Unexpected service – I had a problem with canon megatank g660. Canon service advised possible solutions which we're all tried but it didn't solve the problem. Seeing that the printer was just out of warranty i thought that there was nothing else to do. But canon agreed to replace the printer under warranty. They sent an email to me which i was to take to the… Read more
retailer where it was purchased (harvey Norman). I returned the printer and received a replacement another canon. The service from both canon and harvey Norman was excellent.
Excellent customer service – I had a problem (caused by me) with my printer so contacted Canon via the web and we interacted via email. I think the services were top notch. Everyone I spoke to really wanted to help me, they gave me very clear instructions on what they wanted me to do and they got back to me exceptionally quickly. The problem was ongoing for a few days but Canon didn't give up. My printer is now correct and I am really pleased
They offered nothing up and this was an issue found several times re the model of scanner on line – They started ok as they responded to the email. Then it stopped there. I sent pictures of issue on the original email to Service but the email asked for a picture when they had one, first sign.. Then all they could say is..It seems that there might a hardware issue on the machine and the machine is already out of warranty. Nothing else was offered… Read more
up. Service stopped there.
Even with an additional 4 emails attempted over the next 3 days..NO response from them..They didn't want to know me any more.
So Canon
Like your scanner, you are not working it..
If this is how you respond and look after customers..
Then NEVER AGAIN will I even consider/purchase any Canon product..
Very Disappointed in your lack of response and support.
Printer MG 3660 – Printer MG 3660. Utter garbage. Constantly faults and the company has no interest in fixing it, or even providing any help. Their answer? Buy a new one. Zero stars if I could.
Very very bad service – Printer has numerous flaws around obtaining software updates and accessing wifi. Company service by email was terrible. Agents unable to understand problem and when they can understand it, just keep repeating same advice that does not really address the problem as described. They don't seem to be trained properly and cannot think out of the box.… Read more
Appears they are just reading from a manual/script. I would never buy another Canon product, and would not use one of their printers for free!
Extremely disappointing lack of service and unabilty to answer what I am asking – Disgraceful lack of support for their products, particularly if you have a Linux computer operating system. Despite asking them several times to answer a specific set of questions, they kept giving answers for things I didn't ask. Also, why doesn't Canon have drivers and support for Linux operating systems when they are far superior to hack and virus riddled Windows and Mac operating systems?
Don't bother with Canon customer service – I contacted Canon about a brand new cartridge that lasted less than 100 printed pages. I was asked numerous questions in multiple emails only to be told I should buy a bigger and better printer. Show details

Cash back offer is a joke – I have submitted all the required documents 3 times and every time they deny the claim stating I need to attach a valid receipt. The receipt is from Harvey Norman and has all the required information. One of the emails also asked me to attach a photo of the box it came in which I did. They are using anything to deny the claim. Appalling reliability and services – I have a Pro 1000 printer about $2000.00. Had it about 2.5 years very lightly but regularly used. During warranty period started getting 7400 error message however it seemed to rectify. Until just after warranty period message comes back and won't go. Printer useless. May be under Australian Consumer Law I can still claim under statutory… Read more
warranty,. 2 years for $2000 not a great return. The real kicker is that Canon do not have any services facilities in Brisbane at all! Nearest seems to be Maroochydore, really....Maroochydore but not Brisbane? The printer weights about 30 kilos. Great printer when working...not much good now. Contacted Canon support, no help just usual platitudes. I do not recall being informed that if I bought the printer in Brisbane I would not be able to get any reasonable service. It almost sounds funny...but it's not. In fact it seems to me to be deceptive and misleading to represent that the printer has a warranty in those circumstances.
Online support cannot get better! – Few weeks ago I needed to make my existing printer/ faxer MX720 work with my new laptop. You may have guessed that I am definitely not a tech person! After searching google and trying desperately to follow instructions, I had to give up and decided to try sending a message to Canon tech support via their website.… Read more
https://www.canon.com.au/printers/print-assist I was very surprised that I received help from a real person and within only a few hours. They were extremely patient with my total lack of tech knowledge and explained the terms when I needed it. Few emails were exchanged and the result was exactly the help I needed! I can only commend Canon tech support team for their expertise and valuable patience. Truly appreciated.
Avoids to pay the promised cashback at any price, stops communication – Last year, during the Canon summer cashback promotion i purchased a Canon Powershot Pick vlogging camera for my kid. My mother-in-law saw it and asked to get one for her as a gift for my other kid. I ordered two cameras in two separate purchases and after collecting them i filled out the cashback request from Canon. A few days later i received an… Read more
email claiming that invoice sharing is not allowed. I responded that we did not share any invoices and as proof forwarded to both the invoices that these were two independent purchases.
It took forever for them to respond with a message that only one cashback was accepted per household. My answer was that i was aware of that, i only filled out the cashback request for my mother-in-law and we don't live in the same household. Actually not even in the same suburb.
It has been months since then and they simply refuse to respond to my message. This is quite disappointing, especially since i have been a loyal Canon fan for decades but i guess after this experience i will have to think twice if i will ever spend another cent on this brand.

advised by Canon. Be invited to leave Feedback.... Only to be told F! U Australia.. You don't EXIST and mean NOTHING to us. Am now STUCK with a specialised item which I will NEVER be able to expand upon as once desired and planned on doing hence this products purchase. SIMPLE ANSWER DO NOT BUY ANY CANON PRODUCT IN AUSTRALIA!
Surprised and very happy! – A big THANK YOU to Canon Australia for repairing my new lens free of charge after I dropped it. The damage was completely my fault but they repaired and returned it to for no cost "as a goodwill gesture". It was also returned much more quickly than estimated. I'm very grateful!
A good product let down by garbage service and installation – Even though we were wary to use Canon again not because of the product but because of the lousy service by their Regional agent we were convinced that it would be better. Sadly we were right and Canon was wrong. Just dumped the new product into the Office and left. No configuration no nothing. Definitely the last time.
Canon - Disgusting Company – I rang Canon Australia because I had a question on one of their Products. The product needs to do a specific task and because it's fairly new there was no information on the internet. I rang and spoke to their Tech support and they didn't know the answer. So, remember this is their product and they don't know the answer and they are from Canon… Read more
Tech Support. So the question was and it's a really easy one - can this particular printer, print on DL paper borderless. Probably a really easy answer for Canon, but nope. The Tech support guy didn't have a clue and said that he will find out and email me the answer. So of course no email and no it's not sitting in Junk mail. So then I get on Canon Australia's Facebook page and ask the question, Nope still no answer. Then I get on Canon USA and post it on their Facebook website, nope still no answer. So that's a lot of effort just to find out if their printer that THEY make can print DL size paper borderless. So what do you do when you can't give a company money. Do they have too many customers and don't need anymore. Do they just don't care and don't feel like responding. Or the more plausible explanation is that maybe they just don't have a clue about their own Products. It's got to be one of those. So if you expecting any kind of service from Canon Australia or Canon USA forget it. They don't want you, go away now. I wonder what these company CEOs think if they ever read any of these comments. Wonder if the board of directors wonder why sales are done or why do we spend so much money on advertising. I wonder
Great advice – Our old Canon Pixma iP5300 gave up the ghost last Monday. I emailed Canon store in Macquarie Park to describe the problem and ask advice in regard to the feasibility of repairing it and also or identity of equivalent current items. I was surprised at the very prompt reply that outlined th e potential costs of having a technician check it and then… Read more
repairs and that confirmed what we had thought - cheaper to buy a new one. The Canon staff person listed 3 models that he thought would be suitable. We considered them and selected the Pixma IX6860 that we ordered on Monday. Upon my thanking the staff person he emailed me to express his pleasure at being able to help us. We were astounded when picking up another parcel at the PO on Wednesday, there was a second one - our new Canon printer which we set up this evening. I'll do a separate review on that.

WORST SERVICE EVER – We are a recruitment company in Seven hills and have a contract 60 months with canon for our copier It is monitored by canon so they will send us replacements toner when needed Problem is it takes 3 to 5 days to get a delivery and we may have run out 3 days before the replacement Canon wont let us pick up the part and we cannot speak to a… Read more

Missed Their Chance to Shine and Lost Sight of Their Customers – With everyone in the camera world migrating to mirror-less cameras and Canon only having one product in this field you would think that they would jump at the chance to retain the customers that are bleeding to Sony and Olympus. However, having a simple battery issue with my Canon 5D Mk4, I contacted Canon support to get some help in rectifying… Read more
the issue. When shooting in high speed continuous mode, the moment my battery gets to 50% the camera slows down. Now this does not happen if I use one of the older Mk3 batteries so the problem is clearly the battery. After Canon had me jumping through hoops to try and recreate the problem for them, I sent them 3 videos of the problem occurring and after 3 days of going back and forth their answer was to send my camera back to Canon in Sydney so they could reproduce the issue. This made me feel like they didn't believe me and I refused to return my camera citing that I was a wildlife photographer and this was my busy time of year. I asked if they could send me a battery or lend me a camera whilst mine was away? The answer was no to both of those requests.
So, I accused Canon of being out of touch with its loyal customers and the needs of their customers to which they never bothered replying.
So, I contacted the supplier of my camera and explained the situation and they dispatched a battery immediately asking only that I return the faulty battery. Now that is customer service and CANON need to learn from this if they want to be around in the very near future. Kodak didn't move with the times and they went out of business so, come on Canon you are running out of time and customers, make the difference and look after your loyal customers.
Stunning service, unbelievable – I bought a Canon digital camera in January 2015, but when I was overseas in May 2016 the lens froze open and would not retract. The message came up on the screen - "lens focus error" - I would have to take it to a Canon repair shop. I thought as I had the camera 16 months, it would be well out of warranty. However when I returned home I found… Read more
that Canon gives a 24 month warranty.
I contacted them on a Monday morning and they said I could send it to them or return it to the store I purchased it from and the store would send it to Canon for me.
I returned it to the store on the Monday afternoon - Thursday afternoon I received BOTH an email and a phone call from Canon advising me to go to the store and pick up a replacement camera. WOW!
Now I had that camera for another year and nine months (June 2016 to March 2018) - using it a lot as I travel a lot and like to take lots of photos - but I noticed that there appeared to be some dust inside the lens.
I phoned Canon to see if I could send it to them for cleaning under the 24 month warranty. "Send it in and we'll have a look. There may be a charge - we'll let you know." I was OK with that - it was a good camera and I was happy with the photos it took.
I posted it off - registered express post - on a Friday.
Australia Post courier delivered it to Seiko! Seiko on Wednesday phoned me to say that they had the camera.
Also at North Ryde but a couple of streets away from the Canon address on the parcel.
Got in touch with Australia Post, it was collected and delivered to Canon either late Wednesday or early Thursday.
The upshot of this was that Canon REPLACED that camera - I certainly did not expect this. My new replacement camera also has a 24 month warranty!
What fantastic service! I have never heard of any company doing this sort of thing.
Every time I see someone using a Canon camera, I tell them what fantastic service Canon give with their warranty.
Would recommend Canon to anyone who is looking for a point and shoot camera to check out the Canon range.
