Would recommend CY for both property management and sale - great job! – My mother has been renting her Fremantle unit for many years now with Caporn Young, and has been very happy with how the property has been managed by Sheridan. The sale was managed by Curtis, who was also a pleasure to deal with. He was amazingly responsive and made the experience as stress free as it could be. We would most definitely recommend CY for both rental and sale transactions.

The worst experience ever when buying / selling a property. Agent blatantly distorted facts on the property ad then refused to rectify. Amazingly unhelpful salesman who never ever responded to a text message. Don’t use these people.
Pro's = Very personable team Before sales info was clear and professionally presented Con's = Inaccurate info advertised about my home Several important features missing from property profile I sent through the additional and correct information but it was not updated online as agreed Charged $3000 for advertising on three free platforms (for just over a week) No follow-up once property was sold
Overreach of responsibilities – If like me you are becoming sick and tired of companies overreaching their responsibilities then I hope you will be equally offended by this. Caporn Young request to know the following on their applications: 6. Don’t forget references for your pets, along with proof of registration, microchipping and vaccination. if your dog is microchipped or not - in fact that whole sentence is none of their business. I am a landlord of 3 properties and if someone has a pet then it is not up to me or my managing agents to ask these details about their dog - the only thing I'm interested in is the size and if I feel uncomfortable - if they are willing to pay an additional deposit.
I'm tired of companies thinking they have a right to intrude on personal lives in the way that Caporn Young are doing and feel justified about. They even state how you should use neat handwriting as presentation is important in your application. Seriously, who are these people?
If we keep allowing these companies to behave in this manner we are slipping into a dangerous place within society and I urge other people to boycott such organisations as they are not worthy of our business.

the tenants respectfully. They also have excellent contractors on their books so I know when landlord works need to be done I can rely on them to do a good job at a reasonable cost. I thoroughly recommend CY as landlord leasing agents and property managers
Valerie and Steve are a Dynamic Duo. They work fabulous and tirelessly as a team. Valerie is very nurturing through the whole process and is willing to help with EVERY aspect of selling or buying your house. We found CY to be honest friendly and efficient, it was a pleasure to deal with Steve, Mitch, Valerie and Melissa. The whole process happened much faster than expected and we are happy with the outcome, I would certainly recommend CY to anyone that wants to sell or buy a property.
Unprofessional property rental manager experience – Had an unusual experience with a specific agent, Liliana, who lied about contacting references, took days to respond to texts, calls and emails, took 120 hours to process an application, which wasn't processed at all. their international reference check team which I'm pretty sure doesn't exist. Very strange and unprofessional behaviour. All of my references were waiting for a call including employers and the current landlord. All of them said they have had no contact. I called the CY office to ask about them using an “international team” to check references, lovely receptionist seemed confused and said no. Would have been fine, and polite, to receive contact stating the application wasn't preferred by the owner rather than a week that could have been spent continuing the search. From reading other comments, this is common behaviour from rental managers at this agency. It’s much easier to use your manners and simply let people know their application isn’t preferred. Avoids complaints and stress from the applicants.
Reply to my email stating concerns regarding being lied to by a professional: “ I’m sorry you feel as though there was a long delay in getting back to you, our usual turnaround time for processing application is 24-48 hours however this can stretch up to 72 when we have a high volume of application. We had 3 applications on the property and your references were contacted by our international team, so we spoke with and others we didn’t.” 120 hours is still longer than 72... pretty funny really to see incompetence shine through a lack of punctuation and incorrect grammar but still a crappy experience because I have time constraints in finding a rental, this wasted my week. In response to my google review, I was told I would receive contact from the manager soon, still waiting... I got approved for a property with the same agent in Northbridge last year but I ended up turning that down for a different property, but I felt confident it would be another great experience. Shame!
Summary: if you are looking for an agency competent with communication and honesty, it might be worth continuing the search to avoid my experience, which was honestly exhausting.

Disgusting used car salesman – I live in a stunning 4 apartment block of studio apartments. These clowns, [name removed] specifically allowed a family of four to move in and now just stuck her head in the sand when complaints are lodged. My wonderful next door neighbors moved out due to the noise, and still nothing has been done....Do not work with these used car salesman.

felt that I was wasting his time. I approached him and told him I wanted to make an offer. He insinuated the unit was not in my price range and wouldn't let me make an offer. To assume someone cannot afford a property based on two minutes of interactions is not a good agent in my opinion. Will not be viewing properties with this agent again.

Professional and efficient – Caporn Young manage our investment properties and they do so excellently. They communicate well, and on occasions when there are issues, they are pro-active in trying to resolve them. Incopetent, lack of service, lack of care – I leased my property through Caporn Young Claremont and the service was terrible, with a complete lack of care from the property manager. I couldnt recommend them to anyone.

Incompetent and Expensive – I rented out my property through Caporn Young Fremantle. I then wished to sell the property at the end of the tenants lease. The tenant claimed the property was filthy when they started renting, refusing to pay for a professional cleaner at the end of the lease. disputed this amount in court and won and I was out hundreds of dollars because they contracted an expensive cleaner. All their contractors were expensive. Had I known I'd have to pay for the costs of cleaning, I would have cleaned myself, the tenant left the property in a rather good condition save for some dust. They charged for over 6 hours of cleaning at a high rate, no wonder the tenant disputed this. They obviously had a lower standard from one tenant to the next, but when I wished to sell the place they tried to get the most recent tenant to pay and lost. They should have absorbed the costs and not pass them on to me because of their earlier incompetence.
Unprofessional – They are so unprofessional , we had to deal with so many different stuff whenever they contact us. They are just so painful
