I do not recommend this vendor at all. Save yourself the frustration and choose a company that actually supports their customers.

is at a minimum, the amount of profit these companies make. Now I'm happy with my Solar Green price ($7000 + $500 extra on the day in cash to enable backup on 1 circuit only!!!), that's a lot of money to pay for a 5-hour battery installation, but due to demand, everyone else wanted 10, 12, 15k Ridiculous money, as the battery won't last long enough to cover the cost. Everyone in solar is getting rich off the back of government rebates.
I managed to get a Foxess 3-phase 15kw inverter, DC coupled (Not AC), meaning one of my solar arrays is directly connected to the Foxess Inverter. This is a good thing, more efficient, etc. My other array remains connected to the house first and also charges my 42 kW FoxEss LiPo battery. (FoxEss is rebranded as 1 KOMMA5 and Energizer Solar). Don't pay more for the same; they are fancy ads for German engineering, it's THE SAME. Also note there is a new version, larger batteries, so buy less to get up to 48KW on 3 phase, worth buying.
As for the actual installation, it was a very rough job. Misinformation was a major factor. I was told the Battery and IVerter could be 5m apart, and I could pay extra for 6m... NO, the MAXIMUM cable length was only 3 meters. Meaning that I had to put the inverter on top of the battery. No big deal unless your fuse box and existing solar cabling are 5 meters away. Conduits everywhere, extra conduits for return power in case of backup, etc. While conduits are ugly, but necessary, pushing through a man-made hole in the plaster is not the way to install; they should have put a plastic box with conduits running into it, then in the wall. Lazy, cheap, nasty installer. Solar Green contracts out the work to the cheapest bidder, the same as EVERY SINGLE solar installation company that calls you.
They also fail to mention that every circuit breaker in your house has to be TYPE B, i.e., support DC detection, etc., if you want to run a backup circuit. And the exorbitant cost of installation is around $300 an hour! No thanks. I did pay 500 cash on the day for the backup switch, and AC cable back into my Fuse box to backup 2 circuits (Out of 35). If your house is being built NOW, it will have these types of 25-dollar RCDOs, but at installation time, they start at $50 plus about an hour's effort each.

I was called by Justin and we quickly agreed on the best solution for me. He was able to call up my property and with a copy of my power bill offered the system I was expecting. The installation and fit of the unit was faultless, my garage was cleaner when the workman left than when they arrived. I will be recommending Captain Green Solar to anyone looking for solar panels and battery systems.

detailed and calculated outcomes on how the new system would work. The quote was structured and detailed on parts and explained all conditions with warranty. The 6.5kw solar panels were installed by a great team in a timely manner all certificate's signed all apps set up before leaving. call their number, it often redirects to my Bank. On one occasion, I managed to speak with someone named Matt (matt@captaingreen.com.au). He asked me to send him the details and assured me that I would be refunded.
Despite sending the information, I am still waiting for either the panels or the refund. I have tried calling again, but my calls are not being answered.

complaint via their website and have not heard anything back. We are terribly disappointed as we have been customers of this company since 2019. We now have the new inverter supplied by them (all paid for including costs of installation) but with no means of installation. It really felt like a scam which they denied. They have not kept to their contractual agreement which is to sell the unit to us and have it installed by them. We will be escalating this issue to the Office of Fair Trading in Qld and also ACCC. Extremely poor customer service!

problem regarding noise in extremely high winds during a storm; however this was attaended to. We have had to have a roofer come and inspect the new colourbond roof' however on finding nothing wrong with their installation of the roof they inspected the southern end brackets for our western side solar panels and discovered two loose screws- that probably accounted for the intermittent banging (metal on metal sounding) during the storms and we have not had any issues since then. Resetting the Growatt inverter is not a particularly easy task- however upon getting a new modem/router we managed after a few goes to have the inverter connected again.
