Didnt even last 5 months
Purchased a Century Ultra Hi Performance on the 31st of October 2021 (4.5 months ago at the time of this review) and its now completely dead, Tried 2 different Chargers, one with a rejuvination cycle. it said it was charged and the indicator showed green, tried to start the car, failed and the battery now shows its dead flat on the indictor. Its just completely unable to hold a charge after 4.5months. Mental for a $240 product.

Century batteries used to be reliable, but not anymore
Pretty disappointed in this brand. Century batteries used to be reliable, This is the third battery in 4 years. The first two died on the last few months of the warranty. This one has died 7 months out of warranty. The battery is rated at 810CCA. Being used in a standard Subaru Outback 3.0 and Mitsubishi Pajero 3.2 did

Didn't last
Purchased a Ultra Hi Performance 4WD Battery N70ZZLX MF for my Pajero from super cheap, has had light use with 25min runs to work, no extended drains, never run flat etc etc. Died at 32months so just outside of warranty
I don't think the quality of century batteries is what they sue to be. Wont buy another as you pay a premium price expecting it to last which is a shame as want to support Australian made

Used to be good, now terrible
I used to buy these all the time in my teenage years as they were recommended to me by my old man as he used to sell them as well.
Wow how things have changed, when I got my car battery died soon after (was some NRMA battery) so whacked a good old trusty Century battery in there. Died JUST after the warranty period. Guys refused to honor it so took my business elsewhere.
Their batteries going back 20 years ago used to last min 7 - 8 years and wasn't uncommon to have it 10 years. But now is a completely different story.
This is EXTREMELY comm...

So bad my father stopped selling them and even the rep / dealer he used to get them from has changed their brand as well (now imports their own as so many locally are just utter GARBAGE)Find out how Century Batteries compares to other Vehicle Accessories & Parts Shops

Not like they used to be.
Got 11 months out of this one. Generally got 6 weeks over warranty. At least you know it's gunna fail. It's not a random time. No more Century batteries for me!

Use to be good.. now AVOID !!
I’ve been using century batteries since I bought my first car (2006), never had a problem in the last 3 years I’ve had to buy 3 new batteries after the first one had a tiny puncture in one of the terminals causing sulfuic acid to lead corrode the connection and also damage the engine and paint work, I tried to organise a refund or even a battery swap and Century were very reluctant, process was slow and painful I gave up...
Right now as I write this review I have a battery for my mothers car that’s not even one year old and has internally short...

Century Batteries and Supercheap Auto - Both bad
Have just had a Century N70 Ultra Hi-Performance battery die just after the 30 month warranty. Has been unreliable from day of purchase. Have reported issues to Supercheap and Century in the past and no help from either. Supercheap are hopeless with warranty claims.

Have to discard century battery after 2 and half years
Disappointed that I have to discard my Century deep cell battery after only 2 and half years. It has a mass of white crystals forming on terminals. I've tried cleaning them off but it just returns. I contacted Supercheap Midland and was told it's not under warranty and should be discarded. My Bosch battery lasted over 6 years.

2 century batteries both faulty at 9 months
I am confirming that both batteries are faulty, don’t hold charge and on the weekend RACV was called out for s third time. Supercheap refunded one as RACV printout confirmed the voltage was not enough to start the car. Waiting till lockdown is over to get the next one back to the store. Purchased a RACV battery heavy duty same price and somehow the car runs like a dream. Time the ACCC stepped in and Supercheap Auto represented a reputable brand. The store was really helpful and had no issues with the warranty claim, they must know that if 5/10 come back they still make a profit.
Disappointed
Have a pristine low super K’s Toyota Corolla which needed a new battery, so purchased a Century to suit. A few months later saw acidic stains on my concrete driveway which I cannot remove. Assumed it was battery overflow, but when I checked the battery, found that the complete battery cradle was badly corroded through the acid leaking battery. The cradle is factory welded to the body so cannot be replaced. No more pristine Corolla. Thank you, Century!

Century batteries are the worst.
We purchased 2 x Century batteries in July 2020 and both are faulty. They constantly lose charge over 2-3 days. They do not die completely but you cannot start your vehicle. We purchased these from Supercheap in Toowoomba and they want you to leave the battery overnight so they can charge it on their 9 stage charger. They don't have a battery load tester. Very unpleasant customer service. We have no choice but to now contact ACCC to see what can be done as both batteries are clearly still under warranty. We will give Century and Supercheap seven (7) days to correct the situation
Won't hold charge, refused warranty
Purchased battery from supercheap auto that is now going flat overnight.
Vehicle alternator is charging correctly and no parasitic draw.
Took back to supercheap and they charged it and said there was nothing wrong with it.
Two weeks later and it is going flat again, supercheap auto are refusing warranty, battery is still within its warranty period.

15 months and dead.
I bought this N70T deep cycle battery in Feb 2020 just prior to the Covid crisis. My camp trailer has been on two overnight runs in the last 15 months, and has been in storage with it's float charger connected. Imagine my surprise when I checked on it again today, and despite is almost brand new appearance, the unit won't hold charge when the charger is removed dropping to around 10v within an hour without any load. Joy. $280 on a rather heavy paper weight. Will try my luck with a return to Supercheap, hopefully they can find my receipt, because I'll be buggered if I can find it. If not, I'll just buy some cheap Chinese battery and kiss the aussie manufacturer goodbye.

Are century c105 6v battery's made in australia
Is it true that not all Century Batteries are made in Australia? If not which one's are? Is it true that if you install a deep cycle agm battery under the bonnet it is NOT covered by your warranty?
Both my Century Ultra Hi Performance and Century Overlander have 'Made in Australia' moulded in the lid, I don't know about the rest of their products. As for an AGM under the bonnet, do you mean as a...
Read more secondary battery in which case there shouldn't be a problem. It wouldn't make sense to use an AGM as a starting battery as that isn't what they are designed for. It's a case of the right tools for the job at hand. Cheers. Thanks for the reply. Thought I was talking to Century not a third party. I have since learned that a flooded agm is covered by warranty but not the sealed agm.
No such thing as a flooded agm rosco. Absorbed glass mat batteries generally don't cope with heat very well, hence why they are not covered by warranty under bonnet. However there are few heat treated...

Nope, I was unable to return it as "Out of Warranty". The new batteries have 18Months warranty, but still, good luck if you buy one. I've priced a Lithium battery from RTM and 100AH with 3 year warr...
Read moreanty @$799. If you do the math, it works out at $266.30 per year over the 3 years. Still cheaper than a lead acid with a lot more capacity. See ya Century, you lost a big home customer, owning 5 cars and a motorcycle with your batteries (until next death)
