Appalling Customer Service!
On 31/03/2020 I had the misfortune of of attending Chemist Warehouse Mentone. I left almost 30 minutes later empty handed & appalled by the treatment of the pharmacist. I asked for a ‘behind the counter’, non-prescription medication recommended by my GP. I could clearly see the assistant had dispensed it within 5 minutes. Yet the pharmacist answered two phone calls whilst I just stood there, waiting. 20 minutes later she graced me with her presence & told me she couldn’t dispense it because I was at risk of addiction. Whatever her reason, it wa...s unacceptable to leave a customer waiting in the store whilst she answered lengthy calls, all for an item she had no intention of supplying me with. She was not understaffed or overly busy. Her reply when I questioned her about the time it took, was an abrupt “I was on the phone!”. Really? Well my family and I are no longer customers!

For many years I have been getting Asmol on prescription from Chemist Warehouse, they always come as 2 units each time. As I am on a Government Pension I receive the 2 for $5.60. Yesterday I was given 1 unit on my prescription as they were limiting each customer, I do not mind the limiting but the cost is still the same ($5.60) - good for Chemist Warehouse 100% extra profit.
I am asthmatic. I appreciate the current situation but refusing to sell me ventolin without showing them an empty prevented is sheer stupidity. Anyone can get an emlty preventer from a genuine asthmatic if they ask for it and present it as "proof". Limiting purchases of ventolin after non asthmatics have hoarded them is counter productive. Those people aren't buying them anymore.
If ANYONE had ANY common sense, this would not be the situation.

Most annoying hold music in the world
Their hold music is enough to drive you mad. They need to sort it out and get their marketing department in line! Other than that, good store and products but this hold music has destroyed me.

Help in difficult times
Passing through on way home from Doctor's visit, thought i'd call in and get the last script filled for Crestor & Micardis. Walked around shop for 5 minutes and was called over by the pharmacist and told that as i had obtained the meds only 10 days ago he couldn't fill it until it was 20 days after the last one. I'm 77 and since there's a pandemic on am trying to stay at home as who knows in 10 days time i may not feel like going out again. Surely a bit of leeway/compassion could have been shown. I'm over Chemist Warehouse.
Poor advice, poor customer service - Polaris (Bundoora) Victoria
My wife spends thousands - literally thousands - of dollars at Chemist Warehouse each year, mostly at the Polaris (Bundoora) store.
Recently she has been taking a strong antibiotic for a gut problem, and was advised by her GP to take a pro-biotic. Faced with a range of options, she asked for a recommendation from one of the duty pharmacists (young male) who directed here to a particular brand, and within that brand the variety branded as "Women's Health". She very specifically asked if it would be better to take the broad spectrum variety an...d the pharmacist again steered her towards the "Women's Health" variety. When she got home and started to open the bottle she noticed that the "Women's Health" variety was targeted at vaginal health not gut health. We returned to the store and asked to speak to the pharmacist, this time being directed to the other one on duty (young female). This pharmacist advised my wife that the variety she had purchased was good for treating thrush, but when my wife said she didn't have thrush and wanted something for her gut the pharmacist just kept repeating that many women do get thrush. My wife then asked her what she would have recommended. The pharmacist left the dispensary and took us down to where the probiotics were. She started to select a different brand, and my wife asked her to comment on the brand the first pharmacist had advised. The pharmacist insisted that that all probiotics were the same (despite there being many different varieties) and that the first pharmacist's advice had not been wrong. When my wife asked if she could exchange the bottle she had purchased for a more appropriate variety the pharmacist became very rude and officious, even cutting my wife off as she spoke.

I cancelled an online store collect order after chemist warehouse did not fulfil the total order quantity on 27/02/20. I am still awaiting my refund after contacting them on different occasions. They haven’t even responded to my emails. Shame on you for customer negligence and lack of service. I want my money back before taking this further.

Arrogant and rude staff member
Do not go to the Armardale branch, some of the staff there are completely rude. I wish I could not have given even one star, the gentleman answering the phone claiming towork in dispensary tonight (19.03.20) in the evening was completely unhelpful. After calling the branch to inform them that I had bought a product from Chemist Warehouse the gentleman told me to come in and I drove for 30 minutes to get there only for him to tell me to go to another branch tomorrow. All of this could have been communicated when I called earlier. He offered no ...assistance whatsoever. When i asked for a name he was rude and dismissive and 'He didnt care' and said "I want nothing to do with this". I realise that I am one customer, but I feel, being dismissed, without even offering an apology to make me drive all the way to Armardale is both insulting and degrading.
Huge range at great prices
Chemist warehouse is always my go to for any chemist needs. They are usually the cheapest and have a great range of products. I generally do some research of the products on their website first though if looking for a supplement as having them sorted by brand in store can be frustrating, but online I can type in 'magnesium' for example and compare the products that come up and make a decision much easier before going in to the store.
Refused return of medication which was opened when bought
I purchased two bottles of baby panadol from Chemist Warehouse Clovelly Park. When I left the store, one of them was clearly opened on the inside and leaked everywhere. When I returned to the store with my receipt and the bottle (which was shrink wrapped but leaking!), the pharmacist was incredibly rude, refused to exchange or return my money and even suggested he should check the security footage to see if I had done it.
Selling medication which is opened must be against regulation and not offering an exchange when a product is clearly unusable is unacceptable. I left the package with the pharmacist to report to Panadol in case there is a safety issue with the supply but I have no confidence he will do this.
Always check your receipt, sometimes they scan some items twice
Today I did buy 2 bottles of nurofen for my kids, after I went home my wife did check the receipt and found they charge us for 3 bottles.
I went again to them to ask for refund and I told them to check the camera to confirm what I’m saying, They checked the camera and found what I said. They are so silly not even to show respect and say sorry about what happened.
An expensive pack of panamax
My order was cancelled when they couldn't fulfil my order of 2 conditioners and 1 packet of panamax
. Instead of cancelling it completely, they sent the packet of panamax and I paid the full postage. $8 postage on a $2 pack of paracetamol. I had emailed to make them aware that I wanted it all cancelled but they conveniently posted it a few hours before they answered my email. Never using this site again.
No communication and no updates on order from over weeks ago. Bad management and bad customer service.
I have purchased and made an order from them weeks ago and they have not provided any further information about the whereabouts of items. Clearly with all of these negative reviews they have a lot to answer for! Their lack of communication is unprofessional and very infuriating! Still waiting for tracking and answers! Come on Chemist warehouse get it together man! Where are my items???

Brookvale car park always full with Empty store - stopped stocking popular items
I'm a regular shopper at Chemist Warehouse Dee Why - which has security guards that actually follow you & are very intimidating - I had a headache once, bought Aspro Clear & asked chemist for a little cup of water to take them - I was told "We don't do that" & it was suggested I buy water --- but how do I put Aspro Clear into a bottle of water ? I went to another Chemist which helped me

Interesting how supermarkets and other retailers have managed to communicate with their customers on a regular basis since the COVID-19 outbreak - they have sent out emails, they have notices on their websites and information in stores, but we have yet to see anything from the Chemist Warehouse. As a supplier of health products and services, they should have been at the forefront of communications with their customers with an action plan aimed at easing customer frustrations about essential medicines and health aids. All retailers are in the sa...me boat with supplier shortages but some are doing the right thing and talking with their customers and delivering goods to those most vulnerable. All we get from Chemist warehouse is advertising for perfumes or skin care. Let's not kid ourselves, all retailers are out to make money, but it seems the management at Chemist Warehouse don't even want to pretend that they are in the service of people at their most vulnerable moments. The staff are young and inexperienced and just don't know how to handle customer enquiries or suggestions. Shame on you Chemist Warehouse for not adequately training your staff and exposing them to a stressful situation without backup and shame on you Chemist Warehouse for treating your customers with such disregard!
send to me used product
I ordered online and collect at chemist warehouse Brighton store. Luckily i opened and have a look what looks like. I was shocked 4 of 5 are wrong, two boxes are used and two boxes are damaged. Feel very disappointed and disgusting.
Do not buy online

BUT NO - each time i called since Tuesday, they say "it's been shipped" but when i called today! They're low on stock nothing's been shipped! Lies!

Flu vax voucher
My daughter was given perfume bought from chemist warehouse lilydale vic for christmas. She hasn't opened it as any perfume with rose gives her a violent headache.
She took it back and explained the situation but they refused to let her return it. Even stating that the weather has been hot which could have damaged it?
Don't these big companys have any compassion? Is this fair? It is one of the more expensive perfumes........
