were 2 and they were two hours late. I had a smashed glass frame and a dining room suite I need left out. I. The last hr of the day 2 more staff arrived and behind my back filled up a third unit I had rented for one week and took off as fast as they could. I moved to save money and be closer to where I will be living. The smashed glass frame is nowhere to be found. I have 2 bikes and a king mattress that I can’t move on my own. The service in short was rotten. I expect that the right thing to do would be to fix the problem free of charge. They are very eager to take your money but not do the job. One of the movers said the units weren’t packed properly and I’m paying for their mistake.

Seriously professional packers and movers - highly recommend – Have done +10 moves in the last 16 years and was dreading moving again - have had so many things broken, lost and even stolen. damage. Eamon and his team, who packed the container, were very well skilled and carefully packed the container to minimize damage. Even the unpacking crew at the other end commented on how well the container and the boxes had been packed. The container had been swept out before our belongings were loaded, so that any screws or nuts and bolts that came loose in transit could easily be identified at the other end. Not a single thing was broken or seriously damaged - a first for us. The packers and movers were all punctual, courteous and polite and through their actions made us feel respected and that they were caring for our belongings - as if they were their own. I can’t thank the team enough for their professionalism. Moving really is an art, and these guys knew their stuff more than any I’ve came across before. Highly recommend!

The issues that I then endured over the next few months were as follows. Delivery Dates that were promised were blown out by weeks. Items were delivered to random addresses mixed in with other people's belongings, Multiple items went missing and have never been recovered. Many emails and phone calls that were promised and never returned. Mishandled inventory resulting in unrecoverable loss of items, Misinformation of delivery details, damage to multiple items. The amount of incompetence I endured from this organisation was out of this world. Do yourself a massive favour and go elsewhere, even if it costs a few more dollars. Please note I do not know if the items that vanished into thin air happened between Perth and Brisbane or Brisbane to Cairns.

Communication was clear, prompt, and consistent from beginning to end, and the pricing was very reasonable. It was a genuine pleasure dealing with this company. A big shoutout to Marcia for her exceptional Customer Service.

$12500 worth of items STOLEN Dodgy and dishonest. opened, items removed, and filled up with other items and resealed. I also had guitars, a lawnmower, whipper snippers, suitcase, tools, care and bike care products, a golf set worth over $4000 and more stolen. Chess moving Brisbane refused to accept responsibility for this, of course. Very disappointing, I'd DEFINITELY not recommend Chess Moving Brisbane. If you want a professional company who will take absolute care of your belongings then please find someone else.

I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. We had a 4 bedroom house move from Perth to UK. Our belongings were either not wrapped adequately within the shipping boxes or not wrapped at all. packaging we had paid for. Items were forced into boxes allowing for misshape, scratches and breakages. If you want your precious belongings delivered damaged and happy to pay for it then go ahead and use Chess Moving.

Worst Experience – Corporate move to Melbourne with some furniture and the remainder went to storage for 3 years. Was a complete nightmare from beginning to end. Items packed into boxes with no information on them, furniture taken apart and then they refused to put back together. When trying to get out of storage, management refuse to take phone calls when you have a question. Don’t put yourself through it!

I’m planning another move and once again Chess Perth has exceeded all expectations. Boxes were delivered this morning by two of the most wonderful chaps, helpful and chatty. Your staff are an asset to your business. I would never move with any one else.

Cassidy and Steve are the two people who have helped me through the whole removal process. Mainly Cassidy but then Steve when she was away. Both were very available and helpful at what is a stressful time. The delivery guys were also very professional and helpful on pickup.

Chess Moving provided excellent service throughout the entire process, from pre-packing advice before shipment from Hong Kong, regular communication and updates during the Australian Customs/Biosecurity clearance process, and an excellent operations team on the day the shipment was delivered to our new home. The delivery team were efficient, friendly, courteous and extremely understanding and helpful.

Matt and his crew were great. Very professional and quick to load our container. Matt has fantastic tetris skill at packing all our assorted shaped boxes making great use of the space. Well done and we can easily recommend them to anyone.

The team did a professional job on our removal. I was even 30 minutes late and they graciously accepted my apology and crushed the job anyway - kicking myself I can’t remember their names because I’d like to call them out personally.

The guys doing the actual removal were excellent, however the communication from the office staff ; Lauren and Rebecca was very much in need of reviewing, i had to contact the primary contractor- transcorp to get things sorted.

Chris and his team were amazing helping us move out of the house we have lived in for over 20 years. They were reassuring, friendly and super-efficient! Can't fault them!

will do something or tell you something will happen.....they do and it does. Delivery was efficient with friendly and humorous agents (who understand how keen a family is to reunite with their goods). Nothing had been damaged, and every box was accounted for. I can't say enough good stuff about Chess! You can read some horror stories online about moving. This company and the agents who helped me (thankyou Dianne) were not part of any of those. Id recommend wholeheartedly.
