NEMA worst customer service – No doubt that NRMA second brand in Australia, but I would like to 0 rating for customer service, that don’t know how to talk to customers very rude . When ever I called in NRMA I got bad service. They got some kinda attitude,I still remember I had an car accident few months back, and I wasn’t working due to my back injury, unfortunately my car… Read more
wasn’t insured that I didn’t know that , car sitting in car park most of the time, i called in NRMA , I was telling to the lady ( NRMA) that I have been sick more then year , I didn’t check my insurance, she replied very rude , she said that’s not my problem, I’ll get it, wasn’t her problem, I was telling her that I’m with NRMA more then 8 year , I was asking for help may be they could do something. I called today NRMA for payment plan , I spoke to lady her name is [Name Removed]. She was very rude to me , I didn’t like the way she was talking to me . Worst customer service ever. If they don’t know how to talk to customers & if they don’t care about them , why would they advertised every where to get more customers . I had horrible experience with them
Pros: Powerful! Sounds great Looks great. Very comfortable. Fuel economy is good on the highway. Best I recorded was 8l/100km @ 112kmh on a 1000km trip. Roomy interior. Handles well for a big car. Cons: Bluetooth module kept malfunctioning. A bit thirsty city driving. I had to sell mine due to a lifestyle change. Wish I could have kept it. I'll always miss its power, comfort, sound and presence on the road. Show details
Mental as anything – What a car. FYI e and s class Merc chassis, I have owned many V8s and driven as many. This is the most impressive performance. No a fleas nose delay in response. GMH lsa have them all , nothing snaps like this. It is on it before you . One thing I think is ridiculous is the cylinder deactivation in drive. Wish I could turn it off . In sports mode… Read more
it deactivates it , although holds gears longer still fine. Love it drives like a Merc goes like a stabbed cat

I love my 300c – This car is 12 years old now but i still feel its reviewable for anyone considering buying the first generation 300c the first thing I liked about this car was its comfortable leather seats have not had a car with more comfortable seats also heated and its great for the cold winter days, car is quiet, its no sports car handling is good I will… Read more
upgrade the shock absorbers as the suspenion tends to be bouncy, its the ultimate cruiser, the 6.1 V8 is no hellcat but its got heaps of power when you need it, I do baby it constantly make sure its always serviced on time that's the key to owning one of these don't neglect the servicing I just had the transmission fully serviced, bad points its low in the front I have had to have a professional repair to the bottom front because of those parking lot parking stops don't nose in always reverse in, the A pillar is a big and annoying, the car is heavy and you can feel the weight but get use to it, i hated the foot parking brake at first but now i like it, it is hampered somewhat by the 5 speed transmission a little out of date even at the time but its smooth and acceptable, parts expensive in Australia but save your money buy them from the states everything from body parts to mechanical parts, over all I love this car.
- +1

Very spacious sedan with V8 6.4L. Beast – Very smooth.. roar like anything.. only thing people can see is its taillights and dust left behind. Nice leather interior. Head turner on traffic lights. Happy chrysler owner from last 8 years. Mopar or no car.

This is a great vehicle for comfort and style – This car is a great vehicle for comfort I use it for most every thing including weddings I get the car serviced regularly the only issue I had was the main seal at the back of the gearbox started leaking got it fixed the mechanic said it was a common problem because of the location of it but Benn good now for a couple of years no other problems Show details
Head turner. Loaded luxury and power – 6.4L V8 SRT. Not every One can handle that power. Just go and get a test drive, i am sure you would love it. Great handling, no skidding like my old Ford. Own Chrysler brand from last 9 years. No issues at all. Just make sure to service from right authorized mechanic because not all mechanics can handle this beast.
SRT V8 beast – Looks mean. Power to boot. Looks way better than the other Ford and Holden V8s. Plus it makes more power. Definitely bang for buck machine. But like all V8s, fuel consumption is high. Unbeatable soundtrack though. Show details

Comfortable but poor build – Very nice appearing vehicle. I had the black with factory black wheels. Fully loaded with options which you normally only find in cars that cost a lot more. However build quality is poor. By 20,000km the wrap around the steering wheel was coming off. Had to be glued back on. At 25,000km the spring loaded compartment cover had broken. Maybe I got a lemon. But I really enjoyed driving it. Show details
Chrysler 300 2012 3.6 problems – In 2015 I bought a used Chrysler 300 2012 with 27k on cluster from Tynan Motors Sutherland. At 60k my alternator was burned. After many emails and calls we decided to take legal action and we send them a email to tell that... Maybe one hour after that email, they call us to tell that we can bring the car to them and they gonna put a new one with no charge. Now the car has 140k on cluster, it runs very well with no mehanical problems. Only I have an electrical problems with back camera,it doesn't work and cruise control, sometimes it works, sometimes not working.
Sorry for my English Cheers.
T36 Recall a nightmare – FCA had a T36 recall which had the Alternator to be replaced as according to their recall campaign it states that "the alternator on your vehicle may experience diode thermal fatigue failure due to cyclical loads induced by electro-hydraulic power steering (EHPS). If the diodes fail, the alternator will no longer supply electrical energy to the… Read more
vehicle and may lead to a vehicle stall without warning, increasing the risk of crash." Tried to book my car for this recall with the authorised dealer but they had no parts in the country. My Chrysler stalled in the middle of the road and both the alternator and the power steering failed. I had managed to get it towed from where it stalled to be taken to a FCA authorised dealer who then replaced the alternator and advised that my Power Steering failure has got nothing to do with the alternator. Now they are wanting me to pay 5K to replace the steering (EHPS). Not sure if it I should bear the cost as this looks like a manufacturing defect.

6.4 Hemi engine failures – Same with us, I will never buy a Chrysler again. WE have a 2013 SRT8 Core that has had the engine fail twice - top end rebuild then a full engine replacement. court date with Fair-trading NSW and Jeep in two weeks time so trying to gather some data to support our position that it was the same issue. Car has done 130 km in 4 years and fully serviced - although Jeep Australia were economical in their initial response to Fair-trading, choosing not to recognise the full service history undertaken by their franchises.
You expect great things from a 6.4 litre Hemi engine but honestly the car has been a dog and after sales service atrocious.
If anyone can steer me towards any documented faults with this engine then it would be appreciated, I currently have one:
A STAR Case bulletin, S1309000016, was released just over two years ago (March 18, 2014) in regards to the rocker arms used in the Pentastar® engine. The symptom/vehicle issue is ticking/tapping noise from the upper engine area. In addition, this failure can also set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) for an engine misfire.
Although I'm not sure if this STAR report is just for the Penstar 3.6 in the 300C?
Appreciate any advice.

Dream of a car! – Just recently picked up a 300 SRT Hyperblack, it is an awesome vehicle. Prior to picking it up, all I've managed to find out is that there are heaps of improvements since 2015 through until now, so I really bought it with lots of confidence, having never owned anything of this style/design before(HEMI, 8cyl, American). true to this, will definitely share more of my experiences when the time comes, for now, the car drives amazingly well, especially for how big and heavy the body is! It definitely doesn't make you feel that way when you drive. The options and perks that the car comes with is something you'd get in like a Mercedes E63 onwards. So it is definitely bang for buck in terms of power style and options, especially when you're paying 1/3 of the price.
Update: Just over a year now. Still loving the car, puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel, I've had 3 warranty calls. The headunit, 2 pieces of interior carbon fibre trim peeling, and lower windscreen cowl warping.
Each and every time, the guys at Northern Jeep dealt with the problem in the smoothest and swiftest way possible. At the moment I still stand by thoughts that I had in the beginning.
Update: 2021: Over 3 years now. Called in for trim warranty a couple more times, but no dramas.
Still love the car, considered to swap/sell it but in the end it's such a great piece of mechanical fun. Being from Melbourne we have access to possibly the best SRT/Jeep tech in Dontex Automotive so there's really no worries owning one of these over the next 20 years.
A Pretty Good Cruiser – I have had my Chrysler 300c Luxury for 4 and a half years and overall it has been a good car; it is such a cruiser and it looks like a beast on the road. It's also pretty quick off the mark for such a heavy car but it's nowhere near the class of an SRT model! I also like the leather seats in the car which are really comfortable, they are also have… Read more
heat and cool options which is great!
Chrysler 300c Positives: Looks great, drives well, is very comfortable inside, low cabin noise, has so many standard features already included where as with other car brands you have to purchase them as upgrades. Aftermarket service is pretty good as long as you get a good dealership (In Melbourne definitely don't go to Brighton for service, Chadstone dealership is so much better).
Chrysler 300c Negatives:I did have a major issue with it 1 week after I picked it up where the steering failed when I was going through a round about and I almost crashed into a light pole because of it. I took it to back to the dealer in disgust and they found that a wire had simply come loose or had not been connected properly (How they missed this and didn't check it before they handed it over is puzzling!). Other things to go wrong on my car include the voice activated bluetooth system which stopped working just after my warranty expired, and the dealership wanted close to $2k to put in a new one (no thanks!). And I always had a really strange problem with my recycled air button not working properly in the winter (it always worked fine in summer though!!). The dealership tried to convince me this was normal as the recycled air button has a shut off feature if you drive for too long - this made no sense though as I would start the car on a cold morning and the button wouldn't work from the get go. They never did fix this problem even though I told them about it so many times! Also lastly there has been about 4 or 5 recalls on this car since I have had it and they keep coming too as I just received one for those faulty airbags!
Overall the Chrysler 300c luxury has been a great car to drive and the engine has been reliable as I haven't had any major issues with it over 4 and a half years, but a few other things have broken on the car so if you're thinking of buying one of these second hand you might want to be careful and have the car inspected very carefully before purchase.

Excellent daily highway cruiser – I bought this car at Pickles Auctions in 2015 with 23,000 km. Now 3 years and 96,000 kms later, I still love driving it to work and on weekends everyday. Chrysler 300 is no sleek Japanese or sophisticated European, this car just oozes Americana cool. The interior gauges are a beautiful art-deco design with a blue ambient glow to give that luxury town-car feel. The materials are fine, similar to the mid-high range falcons and commodores.
Reliability - The service intervals are average at per 15,000 km, I usually have it done at the Mopar service centre at around $320 - $390 (depending of km checkup). There was an issue with the rear-view camera image. Several attempts to reboot the software failed before the dealer replaced the camera. Overall, since I was close to the dealership and it was still in warranty the experience was not a major issue.
Drive - The 8-speed automatic transmission is oily smooth and the engine extremely quiet. On the highway this car become a lounge sofa; sit back in the heated leather seat and immerse yourself in crisp Alphine 9-speaker system while sipping a cold drink from the chilled cup-holders is all part of the standard 300c experience. Fuel economy on highway is excellent, I got 8.3 L/100km.
However, things are a bit different in the suburbs or city streets. Fuel economy jumps to 12.6 L/100km and the transmission has a habit of down-shifting on the slightest downhill or bump. Acceleration is sluggish and tight corners tricky to navigate. Overall the 300's performance is refined but does not like to be rushed.
Overall, the Chrysler 300 fills a very specific niche: the daily highway driver. But it fills this niche better than any other cars out there within its price range! It more refined than a Toyota Avalon, more distinct than a Commadore SV6, and people wouldn't mistake you for an accountant, like an Audi A5.
Best value for money comfort drive great engine + 8 speed transmission – Amazing car to drive I bought when was 42000km and now after 3 years almost 94000km still run great just normal serviced has done never had major issues This car has attitude and class Good quality interior entertainment display easy to use adaptive criuse control, cool seat, 8 speed transmission, comfort seat and great engine to run all these options make me enjoying this car for almost 4 years. Do Not Buy A Chrysler – After seeking a good will claim for a faulty headlight, as my vehicle is only 5 months out of warranty, my claim has been rejected. The 2 people I have dealt with were the rudest 2 people I have ever dealt with in the automotive industry. To say the… Read more
second person I spoke with ([name removed]- some acting supervisor) was arrogant is the understatement of the year. The car is immaculate inside and out, has full service history from authorised Chrysler dealerships and they flat out refuse to assist.
My goal now is to stop just one person buying one of these cars. I personally will never recommend to anyone to purchase one of these cars and I will never step foot back into a Chrysler dealership again. I will also never purchase a Chrysler vehicle again.
The rip off price of $4000 for a headlight itself is a disgrace, but the bitter taste of Chrysler Australia customer service has left me speechless.
Do not buy a CHRYSLER.
THRILLING DRIVING EXPERIENCE WITH LUXURY – I bought this SRT version last month and i love this car. It makes me happy every time i press the accelerator. The coolest option is to switching to 4 cylinder option to enhance maximum fuel efficiency. you can feel the enormous power it has at every touch. One of the better car – Chrysler 300 is a car worth investing as it provides a very good driving experience with performance that is of a quality class. Dashboard is attractive and functional. battery in the information section. We found a place that could check our battery and they said the alternator had quit working. We limped home and I got on line and found that there has been a safety recall for exactly the same symptoms with the same engine etc. Called Larry Miller Chrysler in Provo Ut. this morning they said there has been no recalls on my veh. therefore they couldn't do anything for me. Contacted Chrysler they said the same thing. What is troubling is that I pulled up a FCA letter for safety recalls on line which was a letter sent out for this issue covering the same year as out car and yet the reason they cannot do any for me is because our alternator is a 180 amp rather than 160 amp alternator. With the identical issues that which were described in the recall let that went out I have great difficulty in understanding this dilemma. It appears that until there is enough smoke and it becomes so smoky that the fire is obvious enough and a few people die on the highway Chrysler isn't interested in the individual obvious customer care concept. What a shame.

June 5th 2018 Update: Best Car I have ever owned
Well now I am up to 225,000km on my 2007 Chrysler Hemi V8 and over three years I have travelled about 60,000km
in this car, Changed a set of tyres Two Door Handles and two tyre sensors and thats it apart from regular 10,000km grease and oil changes
Very reliable uses no water or oil whatsoever. Just about to service it and replace wheel bearings all around and reckon I will be OK for another 60,000 trouble free kms . The new ones are magic and so cheap at $65,000 Thats my next goal a STR8 Core 6.4litre V8 as good as a Bentley
at a tenth of the price.
November 5th 2018 Update: Had to do some work but still best car value for money I have had
Now have 231,000km on clock and done 65,000km over last 3 years apart from 10,000km service I have had to
do the following items
4 Wheel Bearing Obnly needed one but did the 4
Two Tyres
Handrbrake shoes
Oil Sensor switch
Lower left Tie Rod End
Two door Handles
Wiper b lades
few light bulbs

My first V8 and Woohoo!! – As soon as I saw the 300 years ago I knew I wanted one. Well, the opportunity came financially in late 2015 so I put in an order for the revamped 8 speed SRT Core model, it was delivered to me in march 2016. Life is too short to buy another fridge on wheels. Driving wise it's very pleasurable. As soon as I hopped in for the first time (and btw I… Read more
never test drove one before buying, that's how much I knew it was MY car) I was comfortable despite never being behind the wheel of such a high powered car before. I will never tire of the burbles and gurgles and the driving modes are great at opening up the valves for a louder note.
Overall it's been a great car. I do wish the Core seats were heated/cooled and it's odd having 'dummy' buttons on the steering wheel and key fob where there would ordinarily be features in the full spec SRT in their place. The Core model also doesn't come with autonomous braking, lane departure/blind spot warnings, which are things the Ford Mustang also lack, and which contributed to their 2 start ANCAP rating. The SRT Core (or any variant of the 300 for that matter) has no ANCAP rating, but the Mustang and the new ANCAP standards make me worry that the Core model wouldn't score much higher lol. My only complaint about the interior is the parade of rattles and noises, and the concerning amount of masking tape around various cables in the engine bay. The tow hook cover was faulty and dealer refused to replace, and there is a large panel gap between the front fascia and bonnet. I had an issue with a noise from the rear diff recently and it only needed a $20 bottle of fluid additive to fix, however the dealers had no idea about it so I simply fixed it myself.
Running costs, especially in my area where ULP98 has been $1.65/L lately, can be exxy. Expect insurance at around $1000+ mark if you're over 30 with 10+ years driving experience. The OEM Goodyears tend to not last long even with non-aggressive driving and my rears already need replacing at just 23,000km. You can't really cheap out on the tyres either because you have 350kw going to those rears, cheap chinese donuts will see you going sideways more than forwards. Expect to pay at least $300 per corner for good deals off tyroola or equivalent. I don't even want to dare get a quote for them locally at RRP!!
Pure Luxury and Elegance – This car has exceeded all my expectations. The full leather interior with heated, or cold air behind the knees, seating with air conditioning controls for the rear seats are exceptional features! The rear view shade minimises the heat and automatically retracts while reversing. The drink holders can be set to cooling as well as heating. The seats… Read more
can be set to two different driver specifications and has all the modern controls, including cruise control, at a touch on the steering wheel. Safety features are outstanding with 7 airbags and anti-roll technology. The Chrysler has rear view and side sensors making this car with a large amount of room easy to manoeuvre with power steering.
It is a smooth drive, handles extremely well with minimal noise and surprisingly takes minimal petrol considering it is such a large sedan. The best advice is to use the premium petrol as you get far more distance for the cost, making it more economical.
It is a stunning car externally which commands attention. Most think the Chrysler is designed more masculine, however I have found it female friendly with hooks in the boot for groceries to stay in place, automatic headlights and even indicates on the dashboard when the tyres need to pumped, oil needs to be changed and even when it needs to be cleaned!
It is an amazingly reliable car and not nearly as expensive as it looks. The only unforeseen cost has been servicing the car but is only slightly more than for a common sedan.
I highly recommend this car to anyone looking for a luxury car as it has everything you could want for less cost.
Almost 3 years and still good and solid throughout – I've had the 2013 Chrysler 300c, 3.6Litre V6, 8 speed for almost 3 years now with no major problems. I drove it as a daily and on weekends too. Currently has 48,000 kms on the odometer. The acceleration is quite good from the 210kw engine. The handling is not bad for everyday roads, turns and round-abouts at normal speeds, just don't expect it to… Read more
handle like a race car. Its is considerably quiet in the cabin while driving, but if you have the rear windows down only, the wind may cause a vibrating-like sound effect.
Center infotainment screen is 8.4 inches huge. Very responsive touch screen. Very intuitive and easy to use. Plays Bluetooth, AUX, USB, SD card, CD and movies DVDs too.
Voice command was poor in getting my voice commands right. I told it to play Metallica and it played Celine Dion. I told it to dial Niomi's phone and it dialed Nathan's number instead.
The in-built Garmin navigator does the job but not the best. A few times I saw myself driving through a grass field and some roads where weirdly placed. A few times it seemed confused and kept re-directing even when I did not miss a turn. However I did like the extra smaller navigation arrows that appear between the cluster gauge in front of you alternatively so you didn't need to look to the center screen all the time. POI and options to call those places from the infotainment was really cool. Great for booking restaurants and hotels on the go.
The leather and interior is very nice. Aluminium, wood, leather and semi-soft plastic fit together nice and tight, even after almost 3 years everything feels tight and brand new.
Servicing costs were similar to my friend's Holden Commodore and Subaru Impreza at dealerships. I don't think it is expensive. City and suburb driving was 11 to 12.3L/100km. Mixed suburb and freeway driving was 9.7 to 10L/100km.
Only problem under warranty I had was the air-conditioning module needed to be replaced at the 2 year mark because it intermittently played up ONCE. I decided to make them replace it just in case.
After 2 years, I upgraded my wheels to 22 inch (which the 300c can easily accommodate without trouble) and lowered the 300c with a coilover suspension system. A very modifiable-friendly car if people are into that kind of stuff and are wondering.
Absolute head turner when modified or even stock standard. I get tail-gated and cut off less in the Chrysler 300c compared to when I drive the little Toyota Corolla. Best car I have had so far and will keep it for a long time.
Dream car – Always admired this shape but could not afford it.Finally saved money, wanted to get the newer shaped one but found an older one with only 20,000 kms at very reasonable price,so could not let it go. The v6 has enough grunt for me. I just love this car,the drive is awesome,a real head turner. Have had no issues so far and just got it serviced and the filters changed. Would probably never sell it.
