A Chubb tech came to re configure the system and told us that we were paying too much and should request a lower rate. We contacted Chubb and they were able to do a slightly lower rate but told us that we would need a new set of paper work that would reflect the price. They told us not to worry about anything else on the paperwork because nothing else would change, just the price.
Later on we were able to move our possessions out of the garage and tried to cancel the account with Chubb. They told us that we had actually agreed to 2 years on the contract and we now have to pay them for a full 2 years of monitoring. They have since been harassing us for the money and I have now received my final notice. I have sent them multiple emails since cancelling the account, explaining all of the past events, which they have not replied to. I even spoke to someone on the phone and forwarded them one of the emails which they confirmed they received while on the phone. Still no reply.
Chubb have demonstrated a highly unethical work practice. They knew our situation and that we would eventually be forced to decommission our system and cancel our account. They have conned us into an unfair deal that we did not ask for. We have 3 young kids, and with cost of living increases, we are struggling to pay our everyday bills as it is. Chubb don't seem to care about this either.
Extremely Poor – One of the worst Australian companies both with monitoring and technical support especially due to NBN upgrade. They do not have a direct complaints process. Lies and excuses. Extremely unprofessional. Avoid at all cost.
Useless – *Update* 7.2.2022 Have just had a Second and FInal Reminder for an Invoice that was paid in June 2021. paid, and I mean paid months prior. This morning I have had the 3rd email demanding payment of an invoice that was paid in March 2021, and one that isn't due till the end of this month. I have sent the remittance 3 times for the March invoice and called twice. Both times I have been assured the matter will be resolved only to receive another email a couple of weeks later demanding payment for the same invoice. Serious communication issues and lack of staff training means we are terminating our monitoring with Chubb and taking our Business elsewhere.

Chubb Monitoring is terrible – Everytime my fire alarm activates (and I reset it) - Chubb keeps calling me to reset it ! How many times do I have to tell Chubb this is an ongoing issue and what do they do about? Stuff All !!!
Poor Service and Equipment at Every Level – We purchased a home with a Chubb Alarm system installed by previous owner 18mths. 2GIG was the installed brand. Constant issues from the day we moved in. with a big bank- far worse. I dont think we ever managed to speak to the same person twice at Chubb. No follow up and importantly the product doesnt work. We ripped it out and installed a BOSCH 6000 with a reputable local install and monitoring company where I can actually speak to the boss not disinterested people in a call centre. Disgraceful that a company can sell a system that they cant effectively support within a couple years of purchase. We even had to call several times to ask them to disconnect- nil attempts at service recovery. It was low grade junk sold as a premium service. Delighted to be rid of this company and the crap they sell. This is my experience with Chubb on a corporate level also. A multi national conglomerate with care factor of zero.

the next business day which was two days away. When I called to cancel I was told that I would have to pay a cancelation fee as they would need to see a pattern of false alarms. Even after advising the Chubb staff member the stress a false alarm was causing me and how I couldn’t afford to leave my job and rush to the property and how important my safety was, I was still informed that I would need to pay a cancelation fee. Oct - being over charged $1440! 12 October: told the refund would take 5 days to process but I had to email to ask for a refund . really ? 20 Oct: told our email had been received but Head Office hadn’t processed the refund but someone could follow this up for us ! 23 Oct: told our 2nd email had been received and a refund had been made on the 12 Oct. After checking with our bank then speaking to Accounts told a refund hadn’t been made but no one available to authorise this and it would be prioritised for Monday . seriously ??? 3rd email sent These people do not know what they are doing they don’t ring back/reply to emails and try to fob you off. Horrible experience do not use this company – I contacted Chubb after I had an attempted burglary at my house. I told Chubb it was an emergency and that I needed an alarm and cameras!! They stuffed me around for more than 3 weeks. I then cancelled and the very next day I had an alarm installed with Citiguard!!!
Very happy with Chubb and impressed their service for more than 20+ years – It appears people are just using this service just to complain. The great thing is are still operating during the Covid-19 period, their technicians are always honest and reliable. Yes their service rates are pretty average compare to cheaper providers, but you get what you pay for, and that is quality first. All their staff are based in Australia supporting local community. be cancelled and the incorrect charges refunded, but they keep charging my account. I'm really not sure what to do. The customer service is terrible. I'm not sure if they are being deliberately dishonest, or if they themselves don't know how to cancel the direct debit and refund my money.

Avoid Chubb. Not a good company at all – Since changing to the NBN we needed to go wireless with the Alarm phone connection . The NBN was installed in Feb. Contacted them to get wireless connection installed for alarm. Alarm was not being monitored, if alarm was activated. Kept calling, no one ever called me back. Went with another alarm company, it only took 3 days for wireless connection to be installed.
Avoid Chubb Security Alarm at all cost! – My previous alarm system was sold to Chubb. They then discontinued the equipment and I had to purchase an entire new system to the tune of $3000 for equipment and then $49.95 per month back to base monitoring package which included access to an App to allow you to monitor and control your alarm remotely. owned by a 3rd party and if you discontinue your back to base you would have an ongoing cost of $20 per month ($240 per year) for the privilege of accessing your alarm remotely despite having paid over $3000 already for an alarm. Add to this if you change your wireless router - which being forced onto the NBN we all have to, you then have to pay a technician to come out for the cost of $150.00 to recode the alarm into the new router. Unlike every other appliance in your house where you simply connect to the new router for now cost. Just ridiculous!!! There are plenty of cheaper versions of camera monitoring in the market I wouldn't waste my money on Chubb.
Warning: horrible! Horrible! Horrible! – We been with Chubb home security 20yrs (NSW) and had NO PROBLEM! Out of loyalty, we continued with Chubb business in QLD for few premises! From day one until contract expired it has been a nightmare! can't get billing ABN/Company/Address right (but able to get legal letter for debt posted to right address, no invoices but only statement for outstanding etc... CAVEAT! Perhaps sales reps (Failed) are different to customer service (A+++).

He didn’t come. 2. So we arranged another time and I took a second morning off work. This time he came but he didn’t bring the equipment I had ordered and didn’t have details so as to know how to fix it. 3. I took a third morning off and this time the technician was given the wrong equipment from the supplier. So a week ago I contacted customer service and was promised action on this. Today after NO return call I called again. The supervisor cut me off.
Then he called me back and denied that any of it was their fault. It was all apparently the suppliers fault.
Then he assured me that the contractor had the correct equipment and will contact me again so that I can take more time off work for him to come.
I’m not sure what to do but I see from this site that I am no orphan when it comes to these matters.
If any reader has found a professional and competent company in Perth and can make a recommendation I would appreciate the assistance.

had to upgrade the whole unit and the office (sales) people don't know what they are talking about (to quote the local installer manager). A few days after initial attempt to get the comms unit working our key pad stopped working, so had to do something. Got quoted > $800 for new alarm unit on the same sensors plus the comms unit. Did a ring around for others and get far better service and options. Gave Chubb the benefit of matching the quote. Never heard from them again, despite repeated calls to the sales team. Cancelled the monitoring in writing a few days before the next scheduled payment, but was still charged. Called when I noticed the charge on our account and was told it would be refunded. Well that was about 8 weeks ago and despite me making repeated calls and being told the payment is being processed still not refund. Calling every day and the agent handling my issue is never available nor returns my calls.
If you want service don't choose Chubb.
Violate of our privacy – This company has bought our details from another security company and kept calling you, you friends millions of times and said your alarms had problems while you never consented to use their service. When you told them to stop, they never stopped. They then sent you a big invoice. This company is insane! I will report it to Privacy Commissioner. They killed your valuable time, life and health! RUBBISH – I am currently requiring a service call and have been on hold for 61mins. I unfortunately need a technician so have no choice! I had a service person come out to quote a job 6 weeks ago and still have no communication from them regarding the quote. Rubbish service. We have 4 businesses with this company. I will certainly be changing companies in coming weeks.
Home Security hardware is awful. DO NOT go there – Motion sensors do not work at all. You literally have to dance right in front of them ( in terms of distance and positioned squarely in front of it) to have any chance of activating them. Despite that most times there is still no sign of life. Don't go for this, look at something else.

Home Security Service – Chubb security are absolutely hopeless, we cancelled the home security and advised that we would receive a refund on the balance of the annual fees. 3 months, 10+ calls, 10+ emails and numerous broken promises, still no refund, still chasing. Would you trust this company with your home or business security?
Don’t do it – Worst service I have every received. It has been nothing but issues and problems with Chubb. You do the right thing, call them and ask questions to which they make promises like “oh you can do that yourself on Alarm.com” go to try it, doesn’t work, call back “oh we need to send a technician which is a $150 service call you can’t do that yourself”… Read more

When we first set up the system they set up a sensor so far away from the main box it didn’t work. When I called them to rectify I had to spend another $99 to get it fixed, this didn’t work, so I had to get them out again.
Had patrol sent out who falsified information on their report and I only knew because I watched how long they were at the property from my cctv. Report stated 10 minutes they were there for 4 and didn’t even check the property properly.
Worst mistake I’ve made. Can’t wait till the contract is over so I never have to deal with this company again.

find a new company. Remember to write down who you speak to at Chubb as all conversations are not recorded especially if you speak to their employees overseas. After almost a year (after having to ring head office regularly) I have possibly cancelled their constant harassing bills after chatting with head office yesterday. Throughout the year every time I thought that the bills had stopped I soon got another. Unfortunately over the last week I have had to deal with a death in the family and cleaning up their personal items so the response from head office yesterday was the last straw to prompt me to write. Don't call it a service – We have had issues with the Alarm system for 2 days. It is going off by itself at very odd times. Asked Chubb for sending a technician. I was told have to wait for 48 hrs for some one to call me and arrange an appoitment. After 48 hrs waiting, was told 1st appoitment was available in 2 weeks. I don't know how they are still in the business. Very poor services.
