I booked a straightforward local move in Melbourne. The removalists showed up 5 hours after the allocated arrival window I was given by Citymove. Whenever I rang up, the people in the customer service call centre kept telling me that the movers were on the way just to get me off the phone. Citymove outsources their removalist services to third parties and their call centre is based overseas, so it was clear that no one knew what was going on. It was an absolute shambles, and no one at the call centre rang me back when they said they would.
Update: Citymove responded to my email after I posted this review, and we have come to a resolution. I hope they can use this experience to improve their service.

Amazing removalists, whatever the job or the conditions.
David and Matteo approaches a difficult move with a ‘can do’ attitude and a smile. They offered me lots of choices, which made me feel comfortable, and they asked for advice before moving specialty items, which gave me confidence. They took great care with all of my possessions, regardless of value. They moved me during heavy rain, all day, and never complained, not even when moving my back-breaking pinball machine. Their encouraging comments throughout the move kept my spirits up, which is a godsend for anyone who is moving.

3 bed apartment to a 3 bed split level apartment. On time and had to use lifts in both buildings. Caio and Juan where great , friendly and efficient with the move.
Awful service. Slow, unfit, and inefficient.
Moved from a 2-bed room apartment in the inner city, to a storage zone and then to another flat in eastern suburbs.
They started 40min late. Then the two boys, who were clearly backbackers from Europe, arrived notably exhausted from the move they had done just earlier that day. They struggled to carry items which you’d expect removalists to do.
The security officers, in the apartment block we moved out of, even themselves said they hadn’t seen such inexperienced and exhausted removalists before.
And by evening, they had ...
Scamers, Liars, you will be sorry of you use Citymove, listen to the bad reviews, they are accurate
! bedroom being moved from Sydney to Melbourne. Lady by the name of [name removed] was on top of everything and persistent, then I booked and all down hill. [name removed] lied, when asked to speak to Operations manager, transferred me to another Filipino lady, feel this is run all off shore. Be very careful, when I advised new bed and a table had all been damaged, sent photos, was told by [name removed] 'its not our fault', if you go with this company, you will regret it. Very dodgy, ask to speak to the manager of the company.

Do not use! You’ll regret it
THESE PEOPLE ARE CON ARTISTS AND CHEATS - DO NOT USE.
Was quoted 3 hours for what ended up being an 11.5 hr job - just a small 2 bedroom unit (no stairs). 10 mins between apartments.
Two incompetent removalists arrived in a dingy truck. No method or strategy to loading to utilise the space or facilitate any sort of efficiency. They ended up needing to do a 2nd trip. Numerous pieces of furniture was scratched and damaged.
Furniture assembled by the guys fell apart.
They attempted to overcharge me by $10 per hour at the end of the day. When ...

False advertising and services not delivered. I hired City Move based on the information they sent me that they were a professional moving company that is AFRA accredited and plastic wraps all furniture. Instead a rusty old truck showed up with a couple of guys in tracksuits. Was never told they hired third parties, and even their email had a photo of staff and trucks with their loggos on them. Nothing was plastic wrapped and even the mattress was thrown into the dirty truck without being covered. Several of the furniture items were dented and ...scratched. Since discovered that City Move is not even AFRA accredited in Canberra. Delivered 2 men and a truck, but charged quadruple the price. Raised complaints but never heard back. Charged my card without calling first as agreed. Absolute rip off.

Rip off. Inexperienced movers go slow and hide broken furniture
Do not be fooled by fake reviews! Google this company!! Google CityMove which is their other company name.
Moving a 3 bedroom house 5km distance. They started on time. Finished only with the employment of additional hired Airtasker workers from 3/4 of the way through in double the pervious move time.
The two inexperienced young men turned up, moved at a snail's pace, used the lift to raise one bag into the back of the truck at a time. I received a small concession on the hourly rate but had to pay Airtasker people and organise friends to c...ome and complete the move in twice the quoted time. On top of that, they broke a number of pieces of furniture and then hid them under boxes so I wouldn't find out until I was unpacking. Very slow response from corporate which ended up with "We will ensure they get training on how to do their job better". What a joke! It looks like their CityMove website has been taken down, but All About Relocations is still up and operating. I hope that they have closed up shop. As their service was just appalling!! They also got fined twice in 5 years for making fake reviews. https://www.smh.com.au/technology/australian-removalist-company-citymove-fined-for-posting-false-online-testimonials-again-20150730-giniyu.html https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/removalist-company-pays-penalties-for-alleged-false-or-misleading-online-testimonials

What a waste of a good move
After completing a big move, the company blew any advocacy they had with me after failing to resolve a double billing of the job. I get it, sometimes you make a mistake, but after weeks of contacting the company (including the CEO), I received no emails or calls offering a solution to the matter. It feels like they just don’t care at all, so my recommendation is to find someone else who will care.

Efficient courteous service
The move was of a 3 bed house with a 15 minute drive between locations, starting and finishing on time.
The 3 removal men were excellent, hardworking, and careful, ensuring everything went to the right rooms all done with great courtesy and good humour.
Citymove Dodgy (Google it) DO NOT USE
Apart from the ACCC fining this mob TWICE for fake reviews, (Google citymove dodgy), they were a disgrace to deal with. They quoted 4hrs for a job that they then took 8 hrs to do, doubling their bill. The "professional" removalists are backpackers, one barely able to speak English. Save yourself the pain and find another company.
Percy and his team were amazing
My lovely Citymove team moved my mum and I to a three bedroom unit in the Inner West of Sydney. Luckily, the move was not far, but still daunting for my elderly mum. The three team members were extremely friendly, polite and efficient. We were very thankful for their wonderful work and attitude. Definitely service with a smile. On time, fast and efficient. We would definitely recommend them.
Great service and prompt communication
I had to move a few items from one location to another. The service from Citymove was prompt, professional and highly competent. The items were accounted properly and transported safely.
