Verdict
Climasolar is well-regarded for its technical execution and friendly customer service during the installation phase. However, prospective customers should exercise caution regarding financial projections and verify all grid-connection paperwork, as significant administrative oversights and misleading sales promises have caused financial distress for some users.

Unwelcome high pressure door-to-door sales. Pressured my daughter into making an appointment (unwanted). Also had many horror stories about this company from people who’ve been roped into zero cash up-front deals and massive long term payment plans. To be fair, they cancelled the appointment when I called them - but they shouldn’t be doing this.

Max was brilliant and so were the installers involved. Thanks. Show reply
Really good company. The staff is lovely and really organised Show reply
Jonathan was very good, explained everything to us, wasn't pushy! Very patient well mannered. Also the guys who installed the panels, were very polite, rang us, with an arrival time, explained everything to us, picked up the rubbish, a job well done. Thanks Hannah for the call, to check with us, to see if all, had gone well. Show details · 1

Will was great and explained everything. The 2 installers were also efficient and quick. Show reply
Very happy with Climasolar. They really care about their customers and the service they are providing. Never would have gotten solar panels if it weren’t the Sales Rep Jack being such a great guy and fully explaining everything to us. Simon and the install team were really efficient as well and gave us great reassurance. Had a follow up call from… Read more · 1
the office the day after install making sure I was happy with everything and that the install team left the property nice and clean. Great company!!
Door 2 door solar sales are banned in victoria. Complaint lodged with consumer affairs. After reading more, I found that these guys push people to sign up (often on finance) and their promises for savings don't add up.

Simply put, I'm impressed with these guys. To start with, the sales process was completely no-nonsense and very straightforward. They were 100% honest about the product, the process, and when answering my questions. I was most nervous about… Read more · 1
potentially being gulled into a virtual power plant (VPP) install, where the retailers can steal all your stored energy in your battery and force you to use peak grid power. But, that isn't the case.
The installation was smooth. A four person team handled the job and they got it done in about half a day. Not only did they remove and take away my old panels (after offering to let me keep them if I wanted to re-use or sell), but they cleaned up after themselves, leaving very little trace of the install.
They walked me through getting the system online and the app configured on my phone. I've gone through the app and I indeed have complete and full control over what happens to the solar I generate, my stored energy in the battery, and even when my battery charges from the grid (if at all).
This means I can live off solar when it's enough for my needs, battery during peak hours, and only charge the battery during off-peak hours. I also have full blackout protection available, so the house can survive an outage as long ass I have enough solar and/or battery to meet my needs.
The system, fully installed, was reasonably priced, especially given how much I'll save on grid electricity usage.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys. In a time where it seems people are often being oversold (or under-informed) on energy products, Climasolar stands out as an honest, get exactly what you pay for, operator.
Follow-up · To follow up on some additional questions, the entire system (~10kW of solar panels and 25kWh battery, double-storey install, and removal of our old solar panels) was $35k. ClimaSolar do offer interest-free financing through Brighte. In terms of savings, it's too soon to tell - have only had the system for a month. But, monitoring my usage and… Read more

Seif, the install team and Hannah were lovely to deal with and did everything they could to make sure we were happy with our install. The panels are working well and look great. Looking forward to seeing the changes reflected on our Synergy account.
Follow-up · After a couple of months since the new system install on 4/9/25, I am disappointed to say that I received a power bill of over $200 for the period 19/9-18/11, despite being assured by the team that we were ‘bill-proof’ for 15 years. We exported 2562.89 units to the grid for a credit of just $91.36, and consumed from the grid 662.3420 units at a cost of $194.92.

My solar hasn't been in long but seems to be running very well and I'm enjoying watching the battery fill up on the app. Once the install actually happened it went smoothly. The only issue has been the terrible communication between departments (sadly typical for Aussie trades companies). Most clients will likely never have an issue, however my… Read more · 1
original install date had to be cancelled due to severe weather and while I understand scheduling is very tight right now, the rebooking dramas included having to chase up the office after being assured someone would call me, being told a date that was then not actually booked in, and finding out I still didn't have a rebooked date after phoning to find out why no one had turned up. At a minimum I'd suggest setting up booking confirmation emails.
Still, we got there in the end. Shout out to Hannah for cleaning up the communication mess, and Jesse and Ederson for doing a great job on the install. Apart from the communication issues, everyone was very friendly and professional.
My husband and I met Jack the sales person from Climasolar who helped us by going through the process of getting solar panels put on our roof . We found him to be a knowledgeable person and very helpful in understanding that the solar panels we bought years ago were still working but not as well as they use to be because of there age and that… Read more · 1
the newer ones are now more efficient and that we can add the newer ones with our older ones to help get us back on track by using our electricity more efficiently. And that Climasolar also have no interest free payments which we found would also be useful for us . And the installer’s and electrician who arrived to install the panels arrived in the morning and went straight to work with no problems at all . They got the job done and they cleaned up their mess and found them to be efficient and very polite and that everything went smoothly. And that there is a app that Climasolar said we can use that we can keep a track on how our solar panels are going to. And that if we have any questions to ask down the track or if there is any problems we can give them a ring for them to help us out .

We had an extremely distressing and exhausting experience with ClimaSolar, and I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision. We signed up with ClimaSolar in July 2025 after being assured that: ClimaSolar would manage all paperwork and coordination with Energex and our energy retailer We would not need to contact our energy provider… Read more
ourselves
The process would be seamless
We would receive two months of free solar while everything was being finalised
The solar panels themselves were installed and generating power from July. However, the export connection to the grid (feed-in credits) was not active, meaning we received no financial benefit from excess power generated.
In October, we received an unexpectedly high electricity bill (almost double our usual amount). When we followed this up, it became apparent that the required paperwork had not been submitted at the time we signed up, despite being told everything had been taken care of.
After months of conflicting information and being told different things by different parties, we independently contacted both Energex and Red Energy. We received written confirmation from both that no solar paperwork was received by either party until 16 October 2025 — three months after we signed with ClimaSolar.
This delay directly impacted us financially and caused significant stress, particularly as we had a newborn and chose solar specifically to reduce costs and manage temperature safely during summer. We also found communication to be extremely frustrating, with repeated attempts to move discussions to phone calls despite requesting written communication for clarity.
While ClimaSolar eventually acknowledged delays and apologised, responsibility was repeatedly shifted between Energex and Red Energy, despite clear confirmation of when paperwork was actually received.
In our experience, ClimaSolar over-promised and under-delivered, and the lack of accountability and transparency turned what should have been a straightforward process into months of unnecessary stress.
This review reflects our personal experience and opinion. We strongly encourage anyone considering ClimaSolar to ask very specific questions about when paperwork will be lodged, how export connections are tracked, and what happens if delays occur — or to consider alternative providers altogether.
Thank you for taking the time to share your… Read more

I wouldn't give them a rating at all. Really nasty company. Paid deposit. $740.00 now they won't return my calls or return my calls. They were only giving me 4 panels for 7400.00. Not enough, beware.
This is the 3rd time our solar has been upgraded and these guys by far the worst, our tiled roof was perfect before they came and is now full of silicone and the rubbish still left behind is a joke and they stole a granite paver of me to mount the battery on,lol. We are now extremely stressed.Been a nightmare and it's sure to continue.Do yourselves… Read more
a huge favour and go elsewhere.Got first bill and was bigger than ever, id*ots had our battery charging from the grid at peak times,at least they fixed my roof, they have caused much anxiety and stress.
Climasolar does not provide factual information when selling their solar panels, they adamantly attest that the panels are paid off with the savings from your electricity bills. There is no bill reduction to offset the cost of the solar panels. The solar panels while work well and installation was professional, there are no savings from the… Read more
electricity that is fed in to the grid. The solar panels cost from Climasolar is extremely expensive and we would not have gone ahead had we known that we would not get any bill reduction. I can only offer my warning to all householders that wish to install solar panels - do not use Climasolar, the sales pitches are false and misleading, and they push you to sign in a rush. Once solar panels are installed and you have questions, the delay in responding to you or if they even return you calls is drastically different to when they are trying to get you to sign. I had to give 1 star but really it is no stars and a warning to not buy through them.

Ross came out to the house and explained everything fantastically, any further questions were followed up on really quickly. The installer and his team were fantastic, leaving the area clean, showed me the battery and how the app works, advised that it was turned off till inspector came and he would turn it back on. I work in kindergartens and they cleaned area but allowed me to take 2 larger boxes for the kids to play with. Show reply

The boys who installed our panels were amazing. They were very accommodating, friendly and explained everything really well. We had a wiring issue with our current solar so they not only did the role they were meant to do, they fixed the issue as well. Very very impressed. Show reply
