I bought clipped Assist as part of a 2nd hand car purchase through a dealer. 2 years on Clipped Assist have introduced a payable Citywide Reards Programme (free first 6 months). In last 2 years wait times for service have ballooned here in Perth. I was offered a six week wait. However i was told that If I join the Rewards Programme I would be… Read more

prioritised to the front of the cancellation list. ie I was marketed the programme two years ago with much better service provision than prevails today and now existing customers like me are being asked to pay more to re establish service levels at closer to those when I bought the policy and apparently are de-prioritising me ahead of others should they take out the payable rewards programme.

[Name Removed] from clipped assist made an absolutely mess of my mustang, a request to fix 6 small chips resulting in him walking around my car painting anything and everything on all panels with black paint ( car is metallic gunmetal Grey) a thick paint brush was used. Made a complaint and waited 2 months for him to then cancel 2 hours before he… Read more

was due, waited another month for him to come back and tell my husband the paint colour is too hard to match!! Was a 2 hour appointment and he left after 20 minutes!! Now have 32 black spots around my car and a fresh large chip on my passenger door that appeared while he was here to fix his mess... don't get anywhere when trying to phone the company to complain!! Absolute joke of a company....

Clipped Assist is absolutely appalling. They are deceitful and misleading with their advertising and dont repair as advertised. They don't even permit you to speak to anyone at management level and you can only deal with call centre staff. DONT DEAL WITH THEM as Fair Trading is reviewing their licence which hopefully will be revoked for the sake… Read more

of other consumers and they are being sued in court as they don't do what they claim. They tell you they use a paint brush to fix scratches on paintwork yet claim the finish will be pristine and look as new but anybody who knows anything about repairs tell you that is ridiculous and impossible to achieve. Also wheel experts claim repairing and painting alloy wheels in an hour is impossible due to special paint required and with proper procedures needed to fix them. How can painting outside with dust and grime blowing about be acceptable, yet they think it is fine....they are kidding themselves claiming it is okay even when spraying panels and the EPA and Fair Trading both say doing the repairs in the way they are is actually ILLEGAL. Also terms of membership says repairs in 14 days but when you book it you are told two and a half month wait. ABSOLUTELY NOT A SINGLE THING GOOD ABOUT THEM.

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding my Clipped Assist membership purchased through Toyota when I bought my vehicle. I paid approximately $5,000 for this membership after it was presented to me as coverage for cosmetic vehicle repairs including scratches, dents and bumper damage. I recently submitted a repair request for damage to… Read more

my bumper.

When I first contacted Clipped Assist, I was told the repair was denied because my bumper is metal rather than plastic.

I have since received a phone call advising that the reason for denial is instead that bumper repairs are too expensive and that only smaller repairs are covered.

These explanations are inconsistent and do not match the information provided to me when I purchased the membership.

The brochure provided at the time of sale clearly refers to:

- “Bumper Scuffs up to 50cm” - Cosmetic scratch and dent repairs - Unlimited repairs during membership

Nowhere was it clearly disclosed to me that: - Metal bumpers are excluded, or - Bumper repairs would be denied due to repair cost

Had these significant limitations been clearly explained at the time of sale, I would not have agreed to purchase this product for $5,000.

Please don't opt this service. they are crap. I opted their service 5 years scratch and dent programme as advised by Sunshine Toyota .Even when the Toyota people never explain everything to us when we choose the policy. They informed us its all over Austraila and its transferable if we move interstate. It took 3 months for them to visit my… Read more

place(From May23 to August 27) as I was really upset when they ask for one more months waiting. otherwise its going to happen only in September 15 . one of the excuses is that they do in Brisbane area on a regular basis and towards Sunshine Coast only once in two months or even later. When i put my repair request, he said it will get it done in Aug as the slot for July is already full. Then when I tried to ring them back, he said it cannot be possible as the technician suppose to come to Sunny Coast is sick(what a silly excuse).I informed him that I can bring the car to Brisbane but they were asking me to find a garage with power supply in there. Unfortunately, I have no known person in Brisbane area. They said they have sent me an email stating that the door is out of scope .But I haven't received it . I think its a made up one. When I ring the Customer Care ,over the phone, he said one of the sctratches is 6cm or more. So that particular one is upon the technician's decision whether to fix or not. But today, as soon as he see the car, he was reluctant to do the entire door area. He said he can do a touch up on the scratches, but it could be slightly a different colour than my car. I don't understand how can they do repair with a different colour one???? The technician informed us that he only saw the pictures of my car yesterday only and he was informed the office that he couldn't able to do this . Then why they took this long to make a decision . I think they always tries find excuses for not doing the job. Because already the whole money is credited to their account and no need to worry about customer satisfaction I assume I think its better to have the comprehensive cover or use the service of panel beaters available locally instead of paying for this utter waste service.

Had Babak from Clipped Assist visit today. He repaired all my little stone chips in my car and gave me some good explanations on panel repairs in easy to understand language. He was very friendly and helpful. Pleasure to deal with.

Babak was amazing and he’s very friendly. The job was done perfectly. Having this service is absolutely worth it. You just have to book in advance as it’s likely two months wait.

Sean was amazing. From clear SMS messages before attending my house to fix the scratches in the paint, to FULLY assessing the work needed & explaining the process in "Aussie English". The level of workmanship displayed by Sean is evident in the MANY years of experience in the panel beating/ spray painting industry. 10/10 score. VERY HAPPY customer here.

We could not be happier with Sean’s brilliant customer service and technical skills. He was very friendly and helpful, explaining the work he was going to do. The finished job was excellent and he explained how to care for the car afterwards. We highly recommend Sean to anyone using Clipped Assist in Brisbane. Thanks Sean.

Not worth the money. Not Customer orientated. The repair scopes are very small and only properly explained upon on-boarding after payment has been collected. Oh and don’t think that because you’re on a membership you’ll be treated as if you’re one of the club. Be prepared to open your wallet immediately the instant they leave otherwise they… Read more

won’t like it.

My advice keep the lump sum, repair the car as you go. Plenty of mobile panel beating technicians these days.

That’s basically what you have to do anyways here. Save yourself the bother, stick to as you go.

I have demonstrable proof that they do not read the emails fully they just skim them. Also they will assume and judge what they wish without properly listening to the Customer.

Doesn’t matter if you’ve been openly communicating with them they will still treat you like a sack of crap.

And you’re telling me I have to pay to play?

Was a little skeptical after seeing the reviews on here however I have had a great experience with them. Booking a repair was super easy through the app, someone called me the following day and they were out to my house a little over a week from then and the repair was perfect, wouldnt even know it was there.

very bad – When I signed up to their 5-year platinum subscription, they mentioned a few rewards with one of them being free NRMA blue membership. They did send me a link to sign up to NRMA blue, however after I filled in the form and submit the application, I never heard from them since then. That was 4 months ago. I rang today trying to rectify the issue, the person over the phone simply brushed me off and said I should contact NRMA myself where I am not even a NRMA member since Clipped Assist didn't help me to sign up at NRMA.

Bad experience.

Very long waiting period for premium Don’t waste money – Very poor service, long waiting times Almost have to wait for 1 and half month for repair which is they called premium service Please don’t waste your money

Excess waiting period dubbed Premium Subscription – Product Review: Clipped Assist Premium Subscription for Paint Protection Recently, I subscribed to a premium paint protection service provided by Clipped Assist for my vehicle. Under this plan, subscribers can make unlimited service calls within a period of five years to address paint scratches, marks, or any other issues that require attention.… Read more

On paper, it sounded very good—peace of mind for five years knowing that any paint imperfections on my car would be quickly taken care of. My experience with the service has been far from satisfactory.

Long Waiting Times for Appointments The major problem that I found is the long waiting time in order to get an appointment. I discovered a scratch on my car and immediately contacted Clipped Assist for support. I was shocked and dismayed to find that it would be at least 40 to 45 days before I could get an appointment. That means every time I want to avail of the service, I have to wait a month plus for a technician to come out and fix my car.

Questionable Value of the "Unlimited Calls" Feature With the long waiting periods taken into consideration, the supposed value addition of "unlimited calls" across the five-year period comes across as outright deceptive. If every request for service puts me in queue for 40-45 days, then how many times one can realistically use the service within the five-year period comes down drastically. This totally kills the purpose of an unlimited service, wherein, in effect, every single call costs me 45 days of subscription from mine. The net impact of this is to decrease the real value of the service, making it far less useful than what was originally publicized.

Possible Inadequate Coverage of Services Moreover, paint damage cannot be expected, so it is quite disturbing that this company can never provide service in good timing. Should a major scratch happen at the worst time—right before an important event, for example—the long wait times would mean the problem won't be fixed at the worst time I need it. This puts a big dent in the reliability and convenience that Clipped Assist espouses to provide with their premium subscription.

Conclusion: A Disappointing Experience While this, in principle, makes for a noteworthy premium subscription by Clipped Assist, the execution, to a large degree, leaves much to be desired. The excessively long waiting times bring down the value of the "unlimited" service immensely, making it frustrating rather than premium. I expected better from a service touting to be premium. Unless Clipped Assist works on resolving these issues with scheduling, I would advise against subscribing to it since, in its present form, the service certainly is not what it purports to be.

After posting this review, I had a call from CLIPPED ASSIST to reschedule my appointment for next week. Not sure if it is because of this review!
