Got Coldflow to install a new heating and cooling system. When I wanted some small additional work done later, they refused to do the work saying that they wouldn't make enough profit to make it worthwhile. Very disappointing. Would not advise engaging them
I received a quote from Coldflow back in the end of 2024/beginning of 2025, to replace old gas heating and evaporative aircon with reverse cycle aircon units. The quote included one large unit and a smaller unit for downstairs coverage and a multi head unit for the bedrooms upstairs. From just after installation we had issues with the multi… Read more
head unit. For starters, it never really cooled or heated. And the position on the upper wall resulted in a reverberation on the wall that made it unusable and was at a frequency that caused the kids headaches and made things shake). I took video to demonstrate the issue and techs attended a multiple number of times. Basically it could not be used the first winter nor summer. Later that year, and given the unit was not being used, we had the position of the compressor moved to a downstairs position - at our cost. I was hoping it would mean it would heat/cool and hoping it got rid of the reverberation and hum. We still did not have correct heating or cooling. Tech attended and advised it was a warranty issue. Mitsubishi ended up sending one of their techs around and noted that the pipes were not correctly attached from heads to the main unit. Since we have had them correctly attached to the right pipe, we have been able to use the system as intended. Over 20k and nearly a year later. While reception and the techs were friendly, I do know that I will use an alternative company for any repair or servicing. As an aside, removal of the Evap conditioner from the roof was included in the price but they were unable to remove one part of it that protrudes from the top of our roof. Not a huge issue but something I’ll eventually have to have removed.
Coldflow showed up for the inspection and then suggest and quote. Never actually got any quote on email. I think if they realise it's a small job or unlikely customer they ignore you. I called but no return call either. I moved on with other installer but it was waste of time with these guys.

Very Poor. Got two Two Air conditioning units serviced even though the one in the living room was fine and was told there was nothing to be found by the technician even though the one in the bedroom makes a huge noise. After the technician left I went outside to look at the units and saw one did not have all the piping reconnected. Rang the… Read more
service desk and lefts message with no response, emailed with photos no response and then rang the warranty line to be put back to the service desk, eventually. Spoke to an employee who was rude and said that it should not be connected so I asked why it was previously connected and why the other unit had all the pipe work connected when the service was on both. Was advised that is how it is and to address it myself as it is only a condensation line. Not good enough after $400
Never Again using Cold Flow – Our aircon installation has not gone well. The installer was instructed to install the head unit as close to the middle of the wall as possible between two windows. The distance between these windows is 1450mm. I checked in with the installer after hearing him phone someone for advice I assume. The installer assured me there were no… Read more
issues and everything was good. So I left him to finish the job. On completion the team of two men and a trainee left fairly quickly without reviewing the install with me other than to say it was all connected up except for the electrician who would come tomorrow. Also leaving the wall covered in big dirty hand marks. When I went to check on the installation it was obvious to me the the unit was mounted too far to one side and only 5mm away from the window frame and roller blind. I have attached photos of the installation for your information. We contacted Cold Flow to request that this situation should be rectified. Their reply is shown below.
Thank you for your email. Please see Installers response in regards to the unit placement. The unit needed to be shifted across so as we could get pipes to indoor. Further to the left, is cathedral. The pipes needed to come down into the left side of unit, so flares could be accessed. Because the right side would’ve put the flares in the roof ( colourbond roof ). I explained this to the customer before the boys attended. They were happy to proceed because they decided it would still look better there, than on the other wall. Pipes needed to go up, and into the roof. (8m install). So either the indoor was installed like this, or it was to be located on the other wall, which they didn’t want. This was all confirmed between the customer and myself. The finger prints are inexcusable. I’ll make sure the boys are made aware of this. But as far as as location is concerned, we did everything we could to tick every box. I explained to the customer, why it would need to be off centre. His wife was also in the room, and asked what other option do we have. I explained it could go on the other wall. They both said, no way. That would look horrible. End of their email.
The unit was in actual fact installed so far off center that it was only 5mm away from the window frame and roller blind which looks terrible. We called Cold Flow back to discuss this situation and see if we could come to some agreement that the unit was in the wrong location and needed to be moved to as close as possible the centre of the wall. They refused to budge and would charge us a new installation fee if we wanted to get the unit moved, but said that the location we wanted was impossible to achieve. I felt I had no other option than to accept a poor job and pay the account in full which I did.
We later contacted a recommended Aircon Installer who relocated the head unit to the centre of the wall and said it was no problem and he could not understand why Cold Flow couldn't have done it this way in the first place. So I will never ever use Cold Flow again.
$275 for half an hours work and 1 nail – Having had Coldflow replace my gas central heating, when I had a problem with one of the underfloor fittings below a vent I called them. I sent them some photos ahead of their visit to accurately show them the problem when viewed from the room. I was quoted $275 for the visit with an allowance for up to 1 hour of work time. arrived and after half an hour of work including climbing under the house, they hammered in a nail as a temporary fix as they didn't have the correct materials to provide a complete fix and said they would have to come back and finish the job which would take about 10 minutes. The Coldflow office would call me and make the arrangements. So I paid the $275 and was later contacted by Coldflow who said that to come back and finish the work would require an additional payment of $391, $275 for another service fee and $116 for materials. This would have made a total of $666 to resolve a very minor issue. I declined. I then contacted my usual plumber who came around and fixed the problem professionally for $140 and half an hours work. I had also been to Bunnings and bought the material for my plumber to use - some metal strapping which cost $10. I have included 3 pictures showing the original problem, how it was left by Coldflow with the nail in as a fix and the metal strapping and Bunnings receipt.
Thank you for your review Jack, yor feedback has been sent to the service team.
Great job, well done! – We have used Coldflow to install our evaporative cooling system 7 years ago and the system is still going strong. So this time we thought we want to use them again. Again, they didn't let us down, Daniel had been great with the quotation, very responsive and fast. Adam and Nick are fantastic with their work, very professional and they have done a… Read more · 1
good job, every thing is installed perfectly. They didn't cut corner, and so careful with their job too. I am so glad I put my trust on them again. Highly recommended!!
Pathetic and incompetent service – Avoid this company at any cost. We had 3 Daikin units installed in our bedrooms with Coldflow. First night with cooling option we woke up at night from the sound of leaking roof. Air conditioning above our head was pouring water in our room. First thing in the morning was to call Coldflow to send someone and rectify. As this was an obvious hazard… Read more
as unit was wired directly to the power, the whole day this pathetic company could not find anyone to come and have a look. As next days are weekend, we got slot only for Monday. Not to mention that this might be the case with the other two units. We have paid close to $7000 to have some incompetent people create hazard in our home. Also, have a look at some of the work done by their crew.

Honest company that gave good advice when purchasing a heating unit. Reasonable price, efficient installation and on time service. Installer was able to adapt to our circumstances and find the best solutions to solve our heating needs. Very satisfied. Show details
Follow-up · One year on and the heater works perfectly. I love the new wireless control unit since we had the old version replaced. Just about to renew batteries in wireless unit. Also taken the advice of installer to replace batteries with descent ones.
No service. We had a heavy duty air conditioner/ heater with zoning put in. We paid a lot. It was working okay for a few months then we had problems with the izone monitor. The on/off button won’t show up on the screen so it won’t turn off. We now… Read more
have to run whole system from the mains for it to work. We called at least 4 times. It’s been 2 month still waiting
Follow-up · We’ve had the system fixed it took them a couple of hours to fix it, I understand trying to get service at peak times is difficult but I shouldn’t wait too long to get a new system fixed especially when it was getting hot perhaps that’s an area in which to concentrate after care service in peak times.

hole put in my deck without any consultation. Took me about 2 hours to clean the mess they left after including having to move furniture back on my own. Raised these issues directly with them after they sent me a text asking how installation went, and via the feedback form, zero response to either. Really regretting getting this done and would suggest people look at other providers
Follow-up · I've had no response from the company regarding my issues so none have been explained or fixed. When one inside unit is on, others will make quiet but noticable hissing noises. Overall installation was approx $7000 (noting that rebate went directly to them).

Had my Breezair aircon serviced in Nov-25. Technician does a good job. Requests payment after finished. He does not have an EFTOS machine. Enters my Card details in his mobile phone which is easily hacked. Cold Flow then refuses to issue my Tax Invoice despite several calls and emails. I have no record of the work carried out. Cold Flow customer service has gotten worse since the last time. I'll never use Cold Flow again.

Showed up when they said they would, removed the old evaporative cooler and gas ducted heater . Installed the new reverse cycle system to brand new ducting, all in one day and took all the old systems away too. AND beat a local heating and cooling company by about 2500 dollars. Great company will use them again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A very efficient and straightforward installation. Easy to organise an installation appointment and kept informed of what was being done during the installation. Installers very courteous and respectful of entering our home.
Jason first took my call/enquiry on a Friday. On Sunday I had a final quote and by Wednesday I had reverse cycle air-conditioning fully installed. The Coldflow team were professional, responsive, and represented excellent value for money.
We initially used Coldflow in 2008, and that was not a good experience. We bought the split units from them and they said they'd send someone before they started the job to look at our house. They didn't. When they turned up with the air conditioners to fit them they said the job was 'impossible' and 'couldn't be done'. After a week of messing… Read more
about, they found a contractor who said he could do it, but it would cost an additional $1,200. As my wife was pregnant and the weather was very hot, I had little choice but to agree. I then foolishly tried them again this week. First of all I got a message saying they'd be half an hour late for the meeting to look at the job and quote. Then they couldn't find the house (odd - myself and everyone else had no problem). They finally turned up forty minutes late only to tell me the installation was not possible (where have I heard that before?), this time because of the heritage overlay. I'd already had two quotes, one from my regular electrician, saying they could solve this problem by running the condensation tubes out to the back of the building. My guess is, if you want a bog standard installation, they might be ok. But anything even mildly challenging appears to go into the 'impossible' basket. Clearly they just don't have the talent to think outside the box and overcome a challenge.

Negative experience – Had a very poor experience with coldflo. Firstly they installed the outdoor part of the new unit right… Read more
next to the gas unit which the gas company raised as an issue so we had to keep calling this company to move it to a different spot. Then as per their recommendation, we agreed to them moving our existing unit (which is relatively new and was cooling very effectively) to another location in the house but it has not been cooling well since and the company who initially said they will cover this under warranty washed their hands off saying no we wont later as it must be like this before. The electrician who attended for the AC installation initially was not very approachable either and quick to blame us for anything that went wrong. Plus have had very poor response from them overall with having to chase them on phone calls and emails as they just didn’t care until you call/ email them a few times. Wish didn’t approach this company in the first place.

There was one issue with my system. Coldflow came out and showed me the controller, my fault, i had it in the wrong mode. So overall great customer service. Thanks Coldflow team

stay away from this company – I regret not checking the reviews before spending $11,200 with this company. It seems that leaving feedback doesn’t lead to any improvements in their customer service. the next day was a public holiday, they showed no concern for the fact that we were left without heating in the cold. Their only response was that it was now a warranty issue. It’s puzzling how a brand-new unit that doesn’t function is attributed to the supplier (Fujitsu, which I was persuaded to purchase). After contacting Fujitsu, they pointed to the installation as the problem. We ended up having three technicians come out, replacing and fixing components that didn’t even need attention, before finally getting it working by replacing the internal unit switch. Throughout this entire ordeal, we received no compensation whatsoever for our troubles. The customer service was abysmal, and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Avoid Coldflow at all costs.

Honest, prompt and well priced – The work that needed to be performed was clearly explained over the phone and included an estimate quote as well as documentation of the unit sent via email. Poor service and workmanship – Quite disappointed with this work. There was a disconnect between the sales team and the installation team. afterwards. Plastic and packaging left behind and under the house and blowing around the property. Tools left behind. Bits of installation piping, tapes, nuts and bolts left under the house. Garden plants ripped up and trodden on. Inside the house, plaster on the wall is cracked where the electrician worked, and on the other side of a cupboard where he worked - probably due to body force (maybe he was leaning on the wall). Ceiling evaporative cooling grates have moved and alarm system constantly beeping. The electrician, again, has obviously disturbed wiring and the grates when climbing around in our attic. Trying to rectify those things. Wish more care had been taken overall. Also adding that only 1-2 weeks after installation, the digital wall unit stopped working and we were left without one for a few weeks.
