around for Singh’s to attend to my aircon system for six months, I decided to look for another company as it tends to get cold in Melbourne even in March.

The only reason I called in Singh’s was because the previous owner of the house I bought in Tarneit had got the system installed by them and gave me their contact details. You can read about my experience with Singh’s here.

I picked Coldflow at random from the list of businesses offering heating and cooling services in the western suburbs of Melbourne. I got in touch through the company’s website. Someone got back to me in a little while and fixed an appointment for the following Monday, March 23. [Melbourne’s weather is highly erratic, so it is best to fix heating and cooling system issues as soon as possible.]

Two technicians showed up at the time promised. The issue I have been facing is that the green light indicator on the panel turns to red after the system has been running for a while. There is no fixed time when this happens; an error code shows up when the light goes red.

I had not noted down the error code and could not provide it to the Coldflow guys. The technician, George, told me that refrigerant was leaking. They charged me a callout fee of $290 (plus a petrol surcharge of $4.92 - thanks Donald Trump for that surcharge).

I also asked George to fix the filter on my ceiling which is used by the aircon system. He pointed out that it had been wrongly installed; it needed to be clipped to wood boards on either side and Singh’s had not bothered to do so. Instead, they had screwed the cover to the ceiling on one side. George advised me that redoing the whole thing would be a time-consuming and expensive business.

After the two mechanics had gone, I received a note from Coldflow outlining the issue that needed to be fixed. A date of March 26 was set for the refrigerant to be loaded.

Once again, the technicians showed up promptly and set to work. They were at my house for about 3-1/2 hours. They also did a patch-up job with the air filter, clipping it to the inside of the cavity created to house it.

They asked me to send them the error code whenever it next shows up and said they would attend to it at that time.

I was lucky to pick Coldflow out of the list of companies offering heating and cooling services. They are efficient, quick to react and highly professional.

Purchased 3 systems from Coldflow but they didn’t connect up and didn’t tell us. When we called they refused to come out and said goods were faulty. 5 minute fix by supplier. Don’t choose this company Coldflow as they are dodgy as.

Excellent service by a great team! We installed our Fujitsu Ducted Refrigerated System just in time for the hot summer, and the installers were amazing to deal with. Called today to ask about installing two split systems. Bloke there didnt seem interested in getting the business. Just gave a random price without asking the size of the room, air con brand, any applicable rebates etc. When I told him he didnt seem keen, I'm not interested in booking him, he said 'ok buddy' ... Provided one direction for the outside unit not to be visable from the only window on that side of the house and they placed it right next to it so it is. A condensate pipe was moved from the discreet corner placing to the middle of the wall and a hole put in my deck without any consultation. including having to move furniture back on my own. Raised these issues directly with them after they sent me a text asking how installation went, and via the feedback form, zero response to either. Really regretting getting this done and would suggest people look at other providers

insufficient tools. Deeping cleaning turned out to be simple cleaning, only spraying cleaning foam onto coils, that was it, nil proper procedures carried out to conduct real deep cleaning services that’s been paid, just spray the form and wait to dry. ——————————————————————————————————————————————————- UPDATE:

The service department in charge reached out and apologized for the poor experience that I received and provided full refund. From that perspect, I see the company does value the quality of the services it provids to its customers. It is still considered to be a reliable business.

Coldflow are highly recommended – Great service, excellent Daikin systems installed. Coldflow are highly recommended. The sales technician worked with me, their engineers & my architect to design a system all piped back to one outdoor. This saved outdoor room & is highly efficient & quiet! The installer were very experienced & could solve all the problems i had on site with my build. Cannot recommend Coldflow more highly.

exterior unit being destroyed as a consequence. Additionally, some capping on the piping between the inside and outside of my house wasn't installed. This meant that I had a hole about 60-70mm in diameter on the weather side of my house with a storm cell coming in. Not ideal.

I called Coldflow on the day (late afternoon) and spoke with their operations team. The following day they called back, they organised to have a new exterior unit and a new cap delivered via courier to my house (which turned up as promised), the electricians came out (on time, as promised) who promptly installed the new unit, fixed the capping and made sure everything worked (on time, as promised).

I couldn't have been happier with the service - what I expected to be a painful arm-wrestle with a reluctant supplier (I understand that the electrical work is subcontracted out) was remarkably pain free and something that I was deeply concerned about (specifically the hole in wall with a storm cell coming in) was remediated. I also have working A/C for good measure. They turned what was a sub-optimal customer experience into an exceptional one.

Well done to the team. Highly recommend. Will use again.

Thank you – Just want to say thank you for cleaning my heating duct and evap cooling today. I don't know the name of the person who did the job, but thank you again. It's a difficult time to enter someone's house without the feeling of being exposed to coronavirus. He serviced both units efficiently and even sprayed glen 20 all over. He arrived on time, polite and job well done (before/after photos below)

Daylight robbery – Our experience with coldflow hasn't been so great... Beware of calling them out. Yes, they are prompt & courteous... but, who wouldn't be for a $250 CALL OUT FEE !! call out, - just for us to be told 3 days later that the part (a small valve), would cost AN ADDITIONAL: $555.00 to replace. That's a total of $805.00 for a small part & probably around half an hour of their time. We refuse to hand over any more $$ to them.

Frankly, anyone would be prompt & courteous if they were allowed to charge $250 for 10 minutes.... my orthopedic surgeon charges less.
