Worst flooring company in sydney – I would never use this company again. Our bamboo flooring warped to the point of boards popping out. They blaimed humidity of the apartment for the problem but on my review of the product warranty and installation guide they followed none of this. Did not leave enough space for expansion. Despite their "warranty" they refused to rectify any of our issues.
in addition to this the installer smoked in our toddlers bedroom and left a cigarette butt in the toilet unflushed. we know this was them because they were the only people with access to house and we don't smoke.
unprofessional, avoid at all costs or be forced to down the path we were in engaging a proper floorer to properly prepare the floor and lay it forcing us to pay two companies.
Would Give No Stars if I Could – It's taken 4 months to resolve problems of poor workmanship - crooked vinyl and edges cut by what looks like a 2 year old. installers the final visit and miraculously the issues were fixed. No care. No responsibility. So close to becoming a Fair Trading issue so would never recommend this business.
Do not use – Flooring done with this company started warping badly due to faulty installation. Company sent people around who incorrectly diagnosed the problem and didn't fix it properly. Tried to buy some materials through them to do it ourselves, they didn't even put the order through properly.
Installed without assessing condition of Sub Floor cost me dearly – I had a Bamboo Floor installed from this company and within 6 months the floor began warping and discoloring. The floor was installed over a concrete floor without no advice being given on applying an appropriate moisture barrier by the owner/representative. warranty of 25 years on material and 5 years on the workmanship he failed to take responsibility. I have since replaced the floor at my own expense and undertook the work myself with the same product Topdeck Bamboo Flooring. The installation guide provided with the product emphatically states that a subfloor moisture barrier must be installed. In fact the wording reads, " Do not install the floor without a moisture barrier". Extremely Disappointed.
Lacked knowledge of flooring; did not show on the day – Salesperson inspected the job. competitive price, and an ok but cautious reference I conducted, I gave the go ahead. On the morning when work was due, sales person informed me that the leveller may come to inspect only, rather than conduct the work and that the price of the work would have to increase. This of course should have been sorted long before. Work was due to commence after midday. At 1.30 I contacted the company to see what was happening. Received an SMS reply saying the leveller was unavailable - 'sorry'. No attempt to resolve or reschedule.
Be extremely cautious. Level of knowledge of sales person and access to qualified people seems extremely limited. Cavalier approach to failure to deliver service was rather extraordinary. Thank goodness they had not asked me for a deposit as I am usually a 'pay all up front' person.
