the time of the appointment, I selected certain upgrades based on what was explained. However, after reviewing the documentation afterwards, I found multiple items had been recorded as upgrades without being clearly explained as separate chargeable components during the consultation.

This included confusion around the full-height tiling in the ensuite WC area compared to the approved plans, as well as additional upgrade items such as grout selections which were not clearly disclosed as extra costs at the time.

When I raised these issues, the response I received focused on charging a $400 administration fee to amend the selections, rather than addressing whether the items had been correctly explained and recorded in the first place.

In my view, the process lacked transparency in clearly distinguishing between standard inclusions and upgrade costs. This led to unnecessary confusion and follow-up disputes after the appointment.

Additionally, We had our selections appointment for our build and overall the process around the tiling selections felt unclear and not well managed from a customer perspective.

The tile selections were completed as the first stage of our appointment, however at that point the full scope of the kitchen design had not yet been finalised. As a result, it was not possible to fully understand the overall quantities and coordination between different areas at the time of selection.

When I later needed to revisit or adjust part of the selections after receiving updated information, I was advised that a $400 administration fee would apply, as it would require reopening an appointment and being treated as an additional selection session.

From a customer experience perspective, this felt unreasonable given that the overall design scope (such as kitchen planning) was still evolving at the time the initial selections were made.

It would have been much clearer if the process upfront explained how timing between different design stages affects selections, and when additional fees may apply, rather than raising this only at the point of adjustment.

Overall, the experience felt more transactional than supportive, and lacked flexibility given the staged nature of a new build process.

years. - complaint raised with Beare Flooring Jan 2026 less than 4 weeks later. -[Name Removed] came out From Beare Flooring and agreed Carpet was compressed in traffic areas and matted. - Followed up again in February, [Name Removed] from Beare Flooring said it was with his State Manager. - Followed again March, and could not reach [Name Removed]. Then found he had left Beare Flooring. - April I called head office Beare Flooring. They put me to State Manager. He said he had escalated it to Feltex. - [Name Removed] from Feltex came to our home and inspected carpet with a tool bag. He had a wire brush and brushed the carpet heavily and then a lot of vacuuming. It looked better, then as soon as left and you walked on it it went back to flat and matted. - Got a report from Feltex 4th June saying no problem with carpet so they are washing their hands from it. Don’t deal with Beare Flooring as you can see from my persistence above they just want you to go away. Also don’t buy Feltex carpet. Their Dream Shadows is not fit for purpose and you can see other customers on this site have also complained about this same product “DREAM SHADOWS”. Will now be pursuing legal action with Beare Flooring and their Feltex product DREAM SHADOWS. I have included a picture. It is hard to show the flattening and matting of the carpet, but you can see it and it looks absolutely terrible in person, and this was 4 weeks after install!

needed to return some unopened packets. The return process became a frustrating experience because I was charged for doing exactly what their employee told me to do.

Karma's Google Maps listing and email signatures still showed their old Bayswater address. When I arrived and found the business had moved, I called Karma and was directed by their staff to bring the flooring to Epping. I followed those instructions to the letter.

When my refund came through, $55.90 had been deducted for a courier — apparently because the flooring should have gone to a different location (The Flooring Lab). This was never mentioned during the phone call. Had I been told the correct drop-off point at the time, I would have gone there directly — it would have been more convenient for me.

Karma's response cited the original credit note and the fact that they had absorbed the supplier's restocking fee. Neither point addresses the key issue: a customer who follows verbal instructions from a staff member should not then be penalised for doing so.

Multiple follow-up emails took over a week to receive a reply. The $55.90 remains unrefunded.

The flooring itself is a Flooring Lab product and was good quality. My complaint is entirely with Karma Flooring's handling of the return.

Liars and Cheats – These people are cheats and liars. They took money from me, lied about delivery (constantly) lied about refunds (constantly) and now won't return calls. Do not under any circumstances deal with them. Show details

We paid the balance as requested. After that, it became very difficult to contact the manager, and the installation did not happen as promised. We were then told the flooring was out of stock and had to be shipped from China, with an expected arrival in June. We contacted the company several times, but they were unable to provide a clear or reliable installation date. The scheduling and communication were very disappointing. After several delays, the flooring was finally installed in June 2026. Our receipt stated that all furniture would be removed and put back after the installation. However, when the installers arrived, they told us they could not disconnect or move the dishwasher because they were not licensed plumbers. This was never explained to us before the installation.

Parrys Flooring should have made it clear from the beginning that the dishwasher was not included in the furniture removal service. If they were unable to remove it themselves, they should have advised us in advance that we would need to arrange a plumber before the installation date. Instead, we were told after the installers arrived that they would organise someone to remove the dishwasher within a few days. However, no clear date was provided, and we had to keep contacting the company for updates. This caused unnecessary delays and stress.

The person from Parrys Flooring said they had someone who could do it, but the quoted cost was around $2,000 to arrange a plumber, which we found unbelievable.

In the end, we found our own solution to remove the dishwasher and reinstall it after few days the flooring was completed.

Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience. The installation was significantly delayed, communication was poor, and some of the services we expected were not provided as we understood from the receipt. The entire process caused unnecessary stress.

My advice to anyone considering this company is to make sure every promise is written clearly on the receipt or contract before paying. If installation dates are important, ask for a written commitment or find out what compensation is available if the agreed installation date is not met.

After waiting 15 minutes we pop into the store to ask why it is taking so long, and before we could finish our question, salesperson say it can take 45 minutes to collect. We said we gave them 2 hours notice, she said it’s on the paperwork. My receipt was emailed and it doesn’t state the time it will take to do a pick up. It might be nice to tell people on the phone of the wait when we ring to say we are coming, or perhaps the storeman when we gave him our details. They do not pick the order until you are there. So it ended up being almost 40 minutes wait for 20 boxes of tiles. Not a big order and no apologies for the time it took.
