After calling me out of the blue and taking up my time for 50 minutes, the broker was very pushy and would not listen to me when I said that I want to take my time with the decision and read the fine print. Broker was saying he understands and thats it good to not to make quick decisions, but I needed to make a decision right there and then. He… Read more

also would not give me the health insurance policy docs to check the fine print. I wanted this as I have been misguided in these calls before. Instead of listening to me, he hung up. Obviously not interested in helping you, just wanting to make a sale and commission. Ruined my mood. Just hang up on all these calls.

I was doing some research on Energy providers and Compare Club popped up. I had to fill in my details in order to receive the comparisons. I very quickly received a phone call from an agent, who asked questions about my current provider (Momentum Energy) and commented that they were amongst his list of providers. He then advised that he had found… Read more

a cheaper alternative with AGL that would save me > $300 per annum. On further questioning from me, I realised that part of that savings was a $250 credit to change over, however assured me that the plan was still cheaper. He was very disappointed that I didn't just sign up then and there as I wanted to just do my own due diligence. He said that I could only receive the credit if I signed up over the phone with him. When I did further research, I discovered that my own current provider had a cheaper deal, which he did not present to me. I'm not sure but I'm wondering if he would not receive any commission, if I were to stay with the same provider. I no longer trust Compare Club to give me an unbiased recommendation.

Looked for a Life Insurance Policy and engaged with Compare Club. Directed me to MLC Insurance and said they would provide support at the end of the first year period to provide follow up service and assess whether there was a better deal to be… Read more

found. My premium went up $960 after the first year and they provided no contact. I rang them to enquire whether there would be any further support provided and was assured someone would call back. No one has called. Disappointing service and I would suggest that Compare Club are only after their commission and don't really care about the customer.

Follow-up  · After posting my review, I received contact from Compare Club apologising for not making contact. I reminded the organisation of their promise. They did provide a comparison follow up but I did not use their service.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE AGENTS ASSURANCES!!! I wanted ONE MONTH top health cover for an overseas guest here for just 1 month & 2 days. I was told I was getting ONE MONTH, yet to me distress, my bank was debited the following month and Australian Unity… Read more

are less than helpful. I cannot believe I was so stupid to go with your company, I guess its all about immediate commission rather than the possible long term business with future travellers. Disappointing is an understatement... I cant even find an email address to write to you - guess you're not interested

Follow-up  · the agent was so keen on making the sale he obviously didnt explain the policy well - actually HE KNEW all i required was a ONE MONTH cover, yet he set up a recurring policy with monthly payments being deducted instead of the ONE_OFF payment. Stopping it was difficult and cost me one more month payment that was not refunded by the company. Will I ever use them again? NEVER !!!!!!!

Convinced me to move from my long time health insurance provider but I compared both PDS's and no benefit in fact dearer plus my current provider gave 12 weeks free incentive. The comparison tool actually recommended my current provider but they… Read more

have to change providers to get their payment/bonus so they really don't work for you. Cancelling was a nightmare and they didn't actually do so therefore costing me significant time and stress trying to get refunds. I would never use or recommend comparison sites again for anything...just go straight to the provider for the best deal.

Follow-up  · I did try another comparison company two years ago, and whilst I didn't proceed, found they were determined to change my health insurance provider - again for their benefit (financially) not yours. Compare Club are excellent up until sign up and then become vague and standoffish. I had to pursue Bupa directly to cancel and get a refund as Compare… Read more

called this organisation on a recommendation. the options given to me was more premium than I was currently paying, the level of cover was higher, the consultant sold it to me as the third option, it must be a marketing technique. I was continually called relentlessly as a follow up. I was offered 6 weeks as part of the deal the health insurer… Read more

was offering, I ended up calling the insurer direct and they ended up giving me the same level of insurance I was on with another health insurer, with extra caps on benefits and they offered me 10 WEEKS free. Waste of time going through this compare club. The point I am trying to make is compare club were offering 6 weeks and the health insurer gave me 10 weeks free insurance

Terrible Customer Service. And, they simply lie to get your business and give you personal a return phone number that goes nowhere. Antonio was the culprit here. When he quoted me I specically asked twice if the quote was " all up " and included the impending Health increase which he assured me it did. But, NO, it didn't. I found this out when I… Read more

checked my bank statements. I left 2 messages that if they didn't get back to me today I would look elsewhere. And of course, they didn't. It seems that once they get the business, they wipe their hands of you. Never again. Will deal directly with the Health Fund.

Stephen Lee was my advisor. He was friendly, pleasant and efficient with only the best outcome for me comparing hospital with extra cover. Definately a great asset to the company as an employee. I would recommend anyone to enquire pricing this way and you would be very lucky to get Stephen. Thank you so much for your patience and empathy.

Do not bother with these people! They will cold call you, convince you to move companies and then take three months to do what they need to do to switch you over. I’ve been paying for two covers for three months now. Do not use them, they are incompetent and liars

Incapable Service and Aggressive Upselling - Avoid Compare Club Absolute waste of time. the initial poor consultation is the incessant follow-up. I've been harassed with phone calls and emails for days afterward, despite making it clear I was not interested. Don't trust them. When I switch health insurance, they sell me the best products, only to later find out that I was deceived about the extras and the health insurance company can't do anything because they lied to me.

I received a cold call from the Compare Club and was amazed to speak with a person who had an Australian accent. getting the best price for my required needs. He was very thorough and completely professional. I was truly impressed. After a short discussion, it was decided that the Health Insurance Company I was with was suitably adequate for my requirements, and there were no others that were better value for what I needed. It is difficult for businesses to find good staff for customer service, particularly on the telephone. People like Gary are the epitome of brilliant customer service. They actually listen carefully to the customer and their kindness and sunny disposition comes right down the telephone line. Well Done Gary. A very refreshing change to the usual.

Further to my review concerning Elizabeth ( the consultant) at Compare Club : I finally decided to change from Origin to AGL (Solar Saver) . I was unable to talk to Elizabeth at the time, so spoke to a lovely man called Sam. He was extremely helpful, friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

Elizabeth at Compare Club was a pleasure to deal with. She was friendly, very helpful and polite considering I was a bit sharp at times. I wish there were an option to give a negative star rating. I reached out to discuss obtaining a $1 million life insurance policy for my 69-year-old parent, but the agent's approach was shockingly unprofessional and accusatory. Rather than providing information or guidance, he interrogated me as though I were doing something wrong—questioning why… Read more

I would want a policy of that amount and implying suspicious intent.

His tone was dismissive and discriminatory, and the entire interaction felt inappropriate and biased. It's well understood that insurance companies perform thorough medical and financial due diligence, yet I was treated with undue suspicion from the outset. I ultimately felt so uncomfortable that I ended the call.

This experience was deeply concerning and reflects poorly on the company’s values. Based on this interaction, I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution. A clear red flag.

DO NOT USE. They are great at finding an alternative insurance provider and tell you all about the better premiums you will pay, but when it comes to the crunch they sign you up to the new provider, but forget to process cancellation of the old provider (and yes it is their responsibility according to the health providers) - so you end up paying… Read more

This comparrison site, like many, are sponsored with a range of paid advertising and promoted companies. They want market value pricing, limited kms driven and secure parking. You might as well not drive or own a car asset. I put 2 of my 3 cars in the system for comprehensive car insureance comparrison and neither could be insured. What a load of… Read more

rubbish. The cars have been comprehensively insured for more than 5 years. Be very wary of these comparrison sites they collect a lot of data and provide very little objective help as to reducing insureance expense. In many instances the insureance premiums are incorrect when the company is directly contacted. My view is this particular site is possibly the worst comparrison site operating on the internet. Be very careful being influenced by this site.

Not just terrible, you lied about me having a previous insurance provider in the belief it would expedite my policy being accepted. And then another member of your so called team inferred it was a common practice to help me get my insurance quickly, that lying… Read more

about having been previously insured was “ok” I’m the industry so long as you quickly followed it up with an email explaining that! Well, the person from NIB didn’t have an email stating that! I can tell you I have never ever lied re any insurance I was applying for. In fact I’ve never ever made a claim on insurance so can therefore say that never lied there. I can also add I’ve dealt with “Compare the market” in the UK where I lived for nearly 40 years and I’ve never ever experienced such dispictable, frankly, illegal behaviour, potentially compromising my character in Australia!

Speaking to Chris from Compare Club I was after a quote from the most suitable health insurance for me needing 2 knee replacements. He suggested one health insurer that worked with certain dr's and they would cover the whole costs of the operation with no out of pocket costs to me. After speaking with the insurer and the Dr I found this was entirely false. Very fortunate that I decided to check.

Recently got a quote for AHM health Insur.through Compare Club. Even though I did sign up with Compare club, the company neglected to ask if we were pensioners so we were charged extra on the Health fund for Ambulance, and luckily I asked the health fund when making a recent enquiry (but they won't give a refund for our first months over payment.)… Read more

Compare club says it's not responsible for the overcharge, but if pensioners don't get charged Ambulance which brings fees down, surely the Compare club should ask that as they initially set up the whole quote and payment. Went from $532.80 to next payment $506.91 pm. Not overly Impressed as neither AHM or Compare will refund difference. Also I was promised a $250 voucher from Compare which they now say will be $300 for mucking me around, but that amount hasn't changed on my Compareclub login. I will also wonder if I actually get the giftcard as I was told I must wait 3months, but I have kept emails and photos.

No idea what they're talking about, no compensation after admitting not checking the policy – Absolute crap! Was called by CompareClub with the sales pitch to save money and offer a great new policy. Straight up said I was happy but sure if you can swap me over without reducing my rebates and limits on extras that'd be great. Was recommended a new policy so of course changed it. Found out two weeks later that the percentage of rebates… Read more

had dropped significantly close to 30% back instead of the 65% after I got two claim amounts back. This cost me over $100 in reduced rebates made. Not the insurance companies fault as it's their rate of course.

So I called up Compare Club to discuss, was told I'd be called back as the person handling my case was on a call and wasn't for two days. So I called again, only to be told the best option was to go back to my original providers, oh and that the person admitted that he hadn't even checked the rebate amounts.

WTH! Why provide a policy without knowing the details.

Then told there was no compensation from Compare Club, but that I should now call my old provider to reactivate that policy.

Completely stuffed me about here, cost me $100+ and time to sort this all out.

Do not trust Compare Club.

Great knowledge, friendly approach and a smooth process – The Health expert, D.S, has exceptional product knowledge and a brilliant understanding of the whole process for the customers concern and their questions when switching healthcare provider. He guided me through several good options and took care in understanding my family's needs. The process was smooth and easy.
