CoolBreeze Heritage Questions & Answers
Considering to install a Cool Breeze Heritage D195 or a Braemar LCQ 550. Really a toss up for either. A little undecided because of good and bad reviews on both. Any suggestions much appreciated.
The Coolbreeze has the simplest and most efficient technology IMHO. It is also the only AC to have the ability to reverse the fan giving an extraction function. The downside to them is they are a bit cumbersome to service compared to other brands. But l think the benefits outweigh the negatives and it would be the one l install in my next house.
Sorry I wasn’t clear in my inquiry. I was referring to the Evap. Not the AC :)
Does the model D160 need a cover on it during winter?
My builder doesn't offer this product. I've got it in my current house and find it excellent. It's Cool Breeze and also has the fan and exhaust which is pure brilliance! Anyone I could contact to help specify provisions for installation after handover?
My approach would be to to talk to the builder and get them to remove the cost of the A/C unit they intend to install and then go and get some quotes for a Cool breeze installation. Maybe get the quotes first and see how it compares and if it's worth it.
compare with breezair supercool. For energy ,noise, maintenance cost and water usage.
I recently had the water inlet valve replaced in my D125 evap cooler but since then we have had enormous very loud water hammer. Nobody seems to be able to tell me what is wrong. Getting us down!
Maybe the solenoid on the new valve is faulty...After only a couple of months I had to have the same valve replaced under warranty and was told it was a common fault..(made in China)...
Thanks for that. Another Chinese look alike product. So far the techs have not had a close look at the valve. I suspected that it could probably be something like that.
It must be a bad batch or something. Had ours fixed today and now have the exact same problem. At 41°C outside I'm not game to turn it off but the constant banging is driving me nuts.
Tattz thanks for your reply. I have made contact with several a/c 'technicians "but I am getting nowhere. They seem to be only conversant in a general service/clean of the evap units. When it comes to analyzing a problem they just don't know anything technical. I haven't finished yet.
Probably needs the original 24v inlet valve from cool breeze just replaced mine with a bunnings valve and its hammering badly
This Product Review reply is over twelve months old. I had an experienced service man look at this unit and before he got on the roof he knew what the problem was. As this unit had had some renewals and was over twenty years old we decided to install a new slightly bigger, quieter Breezeair model from another company What a difference. That installer knew what the problem was in the old unit as well. There are service people and there are service people. Hard to find the right ones.
Hi I have a 7 outlet air con unit at the moment, thinking of putting a d195 in,yes or no.
I had 8 outlets and only ran it on low so seven isn’t a problem...probably better with more outlets..cheers
how to remove sumpdump valve
is coolbreeze good unit
The cool breeze was ok but I found it might of been too big a system for our house which was over 250 Sqm living so my advice is to make sure you get the right unit to suit.
Does any one have the D160 and what do you think of it? Thank you
