Nothing but trouble, cheaply built, everything breaks – Purchased this caravan new and did expect some teething problems but it has been nothing but trouble. completely. Had to have it all inspected and re glued. Naturally this has occurred again since they have repaired it. The brakes then decided to play up. It needed constant adjustments. That was another 3trips back to the dealership then they replaced parts. Now the dealership has closed so I am dealing with WA and the company has discontinued production of the model so replacement parts aren’t available or very hard to get. One of the letters fell off completely as I was driving along on a trip (iv only done about 5 trips in this thing as it has been back getting fixed more than I have had spare time to go away) the glue again has come unstuck. The worst part is the plastic fascia on the rear and around the lights. It has discoloured, faded to white (from black) and actually smashed simply due to the sun (it’s 3yrs old now) and I have a 12” hole in the roof at the back. I was away at the time on my 6th weekend trip and it has been raining, the bathroom is now full of water and it is running down the walls and cupboards. All due to a stupid design of plastic fascia instead of roof skin that is clearly not UV stable. The van hasn’t even been to NT so imagine the sun up there. Now the silicone around the skylight is leaking (no there are no leaves or anything blocking the drainage). All in all I purchased this van because it was Australian made and for Australian conditions however it is the worst one I have ever owned. I have had 3 other brand vans in the past all with small problems but nothing like the continual problems this one has. Oh and now the weld on the front toolbox is broken, it missed the 2 bits of metal and the paint was filling the crack. I go away with friends and other families that have brought other brand vans and they have had none of these problems. I would never buy a Coromal Van again.

Great van, everything works as it should – Bought our 542S second hand. It was in immaculate condition. We fitted solar and Lithium batteries and a diesel heater and one of those things that allows the table to swing and sit in various locations. Very happy with the van overall. Keeps the weight down and less chance of rotting timber frames from water ingress. The only thing I am about to update now, is the 2 small (60L)water tanks to 85L tanks. Then we'll be sweet for a longer off grid stay.

Towing – Easy to tow, brilliant, rides over bumps beautifully. Good looking van, easy to manage, and maintain. A little queezy around the bed, but basically easy to holiday in. A lightweight van, and easy towing with a territory. Show details

It's OK – Had issue's with bits and pieces just like with any Van but the warranty process with this Van is a pain our neck. It has taken 12mts to get all warranty work done.We are travelling but it should not take 12mts to get things fixed, we were having to wait for parts to come from Perth to Qld in the end spoke to the assistant manager which got things moving a lot quicker.  Show details

Very Disappointed – Purchased in Coffs Harbour brand new in December 2016 and van put in storage straight away until July 2017. action however they did not fix everything needed (only entrance door which has formed same issue where we have to slam it to lock it)stopped taking calls and no reply to emails. Have now discovered van leaks where bed expands and even though it has been on road for only 6 months since out of storage, our warranty has expired. So, issues not fixed under warranty time and now we have a leak which we could not have known about before now as it has not rained where we have been. I am going to follow up with Coromal as the dealer in Coffs Harbour could care less, and if not happy will take to Fair Trading. We are travelling full-time and have no home base so makes it difficult for us.

Coromal ELEMENT 661s – Quality of chassis seems great, inside cupboard finishes not up to home building kitchen standards ... and needed a few after delivery tune ups including stops so door in bathroom did not open onto shower door, sliding door to bathroom needed adjusting but all in all acceptable and pretty well planned with heaps pos storagd boot outside and inside areas, easy to tow, stable  Show details

was right about it so called the makers and they rolled us everything will be OK and fixed but that were it get worst it took months for them to do something by now mould growing up the walls. not good a health risk so they told us different things butttttt we said no the van is too bad we want a new one made so they agreed this is what needed to happen so 3 months late a new one arrived us all excited to get it once more...But no this one arrived delivered to us and go inside and the table is dipping no trim on it falling off no quality control at all so we complained and off the second can goes in To be fixed no hatch they missed putting in at the factory you tell me how could they miss

Happy camper – Brought our Elements 612S at Wodonga Caravan & Camping Show in August this year. Been away for 6 weeks since then. Very comfortable and appears to have much more room than our previous pop top. Towing is good except when you hit a 60 to 80 Kim per hour head wind. charged through connection to car. TV bracket attachment to wall not that strong but fixed using plugs and now travel with tv stowed separately.

Overall very happy so far.

Element poor fitting and production – Purchased a new Coromal Element 663 in Dec 2016 due to the good price and reviews of how their standard had improved. After acceptance and at home found only one wardrobe had hanging rack. working again. After two months found evidence of water on one of the walls in the ensuite. Checked the roof and found the rear plastic spoiler which was sealed with silicon had warped and split the silicon on each side creating a 20x5mm gap on left and right edge of spoiler. This allow an unknown quantity of water to flow down inside back wall of caravan. Spoiler plastic is brittle and at same time found it had cracked in two places. Tunnel doors don't seal to well ans when static water seams to get in. Rear plastic spoiler has now cracked in three place and waiting to see if manufacturers will replace.

Better quality control needed prior to delivery – We picked up our brand new Coromal Element 632 van from the South Nowra dealer early April, 2017. Before and during our maiden trip we found; 1. one of the wardrobes had no hanging rack, 2. the T.V. bracket fell off the wall due to totally inadequate screws used, 3. the end of the T.V. bracket holding the T.V. fell apart, 4. the shower plumbing… Read more

leaked into the internal wall behind the taps and water covered the ensuite floor, 5. a clamp had not been fitted to a inlet hose in the toilet cassette port causing water to shoot up and flood the ensuite from under the toilet pedestal, 6. the leading side of the offside tunnel boot door did not hold shut and would have allowed rain in, 7. about six screw covers were missing from cabinetry throughout the van. We fixed the T.V. bracket and the dealer attended to the other 5 issues, but during our 2nd trip we found six of the cheap plastic brackets holding the island bed to the tunnel boot bulkhead and floor broke/shattered due in some part to the two gas filled lifting struts exerting too much pressure on the plastic brackets. This caused the bed base to distort badly. I had to disassemble the struts before replacing the plastic brackets with metal ones and realigning the bed base. On the same trip one of the roller brackets on the ensuite door fell off due to the screws being too short to bite. Again I replaced these screws on the road.

So far that's 9 fairly significant faults we've found with a brand new van on 2 trips. Buyers please beware.

No Complaints at all !!!! – Traded our Excel 542 which we had a fantastic service from and were sad to see it go. unique in its paint job, and has all of the equipment and comforts one would expect from a full size van. Sure, we had a couple of minor issues with window seals that had gone a bit hard due to standing in the yard for 12 months, but there was no problem at all getting these fixed. Other than that a broken clip on the fridge vent cover was about it !!!! Didn't need to tow the van to the dealer, the dealer came to the van - what more could you ask. And when we do have any more to ask, we just phoned Phil in the service department and he was only to obliging to help with advice.

Absolutely satisfied with the quality of everything that came with it. Massive storage room is a luxury - we don't use half of it.

We tow with a Pajero and it tows true and effortlessly - even with strong cross winds we experienced on our last trip.

Would thoroughly recommend and would also recommend Mandurah RV

purchase leaving us extremely dissapointed. Issues experienced have been a plumbing leak (water/food scraps leaked under the hot water cupboard down the length of the van), faulty cupboard locks (both these issues took several visits to the dealer to resolve), solar power wiring was faulty pre-delivery, faulty blinds & frame, cracks to windows, faulty door lock, broken bed slat & frame, bi-fold door (slat dropped), jockey wheel locking mechanism broke (we were accused of cross threading this & had to pay), grey water tank was over-flowing (discharge pipe was too small and had to be replaced with a larger one). All in all, we have had issues arise each and every time we have used the van and we have had the van now for less than a year (concerning considering our van warranty is about to expire and it has been in for repair more time than we have been able to use it). Extremely poor after sales service by the Coromel agent in Adelaide, with no quality control checks on works completed. Treated extremely poorly.

Well didnt get to buy the van. Dealer gave trade in and didnt honor the price. Want to give half p – We did like the van very much and looked a treat. Dont know what the van would have been like after some use. We are in a van club up here and there are some great vans but the Coromal Element looked more elegant than any of the others. Update May 6th 2017:

Didnt buy the van and found the dealer not very co operative. Very rude and abrupt. The van certainly was an eye catcher and we liked it. Oh well we are going to the van show in Cairns and you never know we may come away with an upgrade to our current unit.

Some problems – We have had a few problems. Fixed a few things on the road as the only authorised repairer north of Geraldton is in Broome, and he couldn't be bothered to return any of the numerous phone calls I made in an attempt to get some repairs. front window), shower is leaking under the floor and a stream runs down towards bed when we travel (to be investigated by repairer next week), van unroadworthy when we took possession. This was my biggest problem. ATM 2595 on compliance plate, legally requires 2 safety chains. Warranty manager didn't care about any others that possibly could be unroadworthy and told us to take it to nearest Coromal dealer.....hhhmmmm we couldn't legally tow it! Lucky neighbour is a coded welder so didn't need to tow it anywhere illegally. I know for a fact the dealer had another unroadworthy van in their yard, and quite possibly has sold numerous before we found out ours was supposed to have 2 chains! Quality control is crap! I laugh everytime I see the QC sticker on the door! But in saying all that, we still like our van. We've taken it on some pretty corrugated roads in Northern WA and cupboards are still firmly attached to walls! It's not an RTV. We did have quite a few dust leaks, but again, it's designed for sealed road use.

Would I buy another Coromal van??? Most likely. Most vans of any brand have problems. I'm hoping I never have to buy another van again in my life as it's very stressful trying to get things fixed etc. everytime I called the dealer with another problem I felt like a whinger. But the dealer (who is awesome and located 5 hours away in Albany) wanted to know all the problems.

A disappointed – Attention to detail is a little disappointing. After using it once we had to have the front panel replaced under warranty have no complaints with the promptness of the dealer. upgraded concertina door put on but the way its been put on we cannot open shower door when the concertina door is closed.

Cannot fault the dealer they have been great.

Eye Candy - no dealer integrity – We were seduced by eye candy at Sydney Super Show 2016 and put $3000 deposit on a Coromal. After 5 days, advised Nowra based dealer of not wanting to proceed. Doesn't return calls, we've done our doe. Don't get caught like us. Avoid this dealer at all costs.

Happy with layout and some good points but overall the backup service is poor – Element in hot water heater has burnt out twice. Shower door has leaked water regularly and had to be fixed by us. Washing machine died and was replaced by service people but found out there was nothing wrong with it so have spare. New machine leaked water into machine and had to be replaced. Cushions in dinette seat had to be replaced as it went soft and gave us back aches.

Money Pit – We have had nothing but trouble with this van, now we are in Darwin contacted two companies to do warranty work and no one will touch it. Apparently Coromal have a bad reputation as slow paying so now what do we do, phone calls are not being returned now.

I Wouldn't Buy Another One – I purchased my van through the Coromal dealer in Nowra and I found both the Manager and Service Manager to have very poor people skills, particularly once the purchase was made. Don't waste your money – You are better off burning your cash then buying one of theses things fall apart easily I would also not recommened buying anything from cell caravans service was being approached by a [Name removed] don't listen to a con word he has got to say

Our Third Coromal and they are living up to their reputation – We traded our Excel for the Element in 2014. Since then we have done 13000 kms with it attached. During warranty we had to go back to Nowra dealers, for warranty work. The guys in the workshop could not do enough. They strenghened the struts on the bed , as it used to come slowly down, No problem since, except more muscle required to raise them.… Read more

Found out it is a cold weather issue, as the gas shrinks in very cold weather. Had to also replace the door on the pull out draw below the cafe seating. That was done well. A few silly items that are not up to par. One being the fact that the blind over the kitchen is hung a bit crookedly. Others would be, needing a bit more bench space, perhaps the van should be about 30cms longer if it can still be kept as a single axle and not accrue too much more weight. We love having shower and toilet, and sink . So convenient. TV is easier to watch from the bed but you can certainly see it from the cafe setting if you choose. Will continue to enjoy this van for many years.

Good Product but Dealers in Sydney – Bought the Coromal 632 RTP as a X demo from at that time their dealer in Camden in 2013( and that's another tail). Its a good van. I broke a couple of plastic stricker plates on the cupboard doors, their Nowra agent was not much help and WA was even worse. You think they would be proactive to promote their product on the East Coast.

Deserves 3 1/2 stars – After arriving 1 mth late NO a/c as ordered but a TV which was put where 2 people can't sit & watch it comfortably on the L shaped lounge ,then we have had water leaks 1,front window 2,roof hatch in heavy rain wet bed ,floor front to back 3,leaking through toilet cassette access door back twice to have that looked at & there was no solar wiring in… Read more

the roof as it sold with pre wired solar ,water can only hold 100 ltrs from 2 * 80ltr tanks & only 5mths. old hope the the rest of its life gets better.

Deserves 41/2 stars – We purchased this 18 ft Coromal full van from Adelaide in April 2014 and traveled full time for the following ten weeks. appears to be well made with reasonable quality materials and fittings, it tows and behaves very well behind our Mitsubishi Pajero (diesel), the layout of cafe seating, double queen bed and combination shower/toilet suits our requirements perfectly. We particularly like the independent suspension and high ground clearance (not off road model). The tunnel boot took a while to get used too and at this stage I prefer neither tunnel or front boot over the other. The roof repairs were tested over two weeks of very heavy rain in Victoria and not a drop came in. We were very impressed with the friendly and efficient service provided by the Adelaide and Parkes agents. Overall experience deserves 41/2 stars! Function of layout, lots of bench and cupboard space, full oven, tows well. Some cupbourd handles were not straight and bathroom sealant was untidy. Fixed in one hour.
