To follow up my previous review. The response I got from Bridgestone was:due to alignment error specification according to specific model and make of car. But Costco not providing service of alignment when changing Tyers. So they can always get away from the issues with Tyers. Plus “alignment “, no one will ask for specifications from retailer… Read more

when doing alignment service. You always trusted they supposedly did the proper job. It is hard to verify that issue with the shop who did the alignment at that time, afterwards . So Bad luck . My advice is not do types in Costco given they can not provide full tyres change services. And always ask for specifications when doing alignment of tyres. ( shop said they can provide the specifications at the time of alignment but not after as they don’t store the information in their computer).

Rexton Reach and Samsung galaxy. No match – I purchased new Rexton Reach hearing aids. After purchase and delivery i was not told that not all Samsung phones would work with the new Reach aids. I purchased a new Samsung phone from their list. Two weeks later I discover that the aids do not allow Bluetooth pickup of phone calls. Not happy ! Show details

I changed my two tyres in Dockland Costco 4/5/2024, less than one year ago, less than 25000km. One of the tyre is wearing out badly and flat tyre, the other one is also wearing badly. These are my back tyres . I did change my front tyres o 9/4/24, which was 4 days later and did alignment at a local tyre shop, as my front tyres are different size… Read more

from back tyres. The two front tyers still in perfect reasonable conditions with deep grooves, while in comparison, the back tyres changed in Costco at almost same time, both grooves are hardly seen and with the flat one, the tyre fabric like lining is exposed already. In comparison, the quality is poor.

And try to ask about warranty issue on Costco website online bubble, not existing at all. Reconsider product purchased from Costco with warranty , I guess. In case if you need claim warranty, how?

I sent Tyers back to Tyer centre Costco Ardeer yesterday, i guess it will be long process, as being told need waiting for Bridgestone inspection.

The staff tried to brush it off initially and blame me for over fill Tyers and not did alignment every 10000km. To be common sense, why on earth I would fill different pressure to Costco provided Tyers and other shop provided Tyers? I regularly doing my car service. All four Tyers under same running conditions, why both the Tyers provided by Costco wearing so badly, while the other two hardly wearing out at all. I did not do alignment for my previous 4 Tyers since new car, which I changed them last year at 65000km with still fair bit grooves seen while changed. If only one Costco provided Tyer was bad or the same with the other 2 Tyers got from other shop, I might accept due to alignment, but with only both Costco Tyers wearing badly equally, I am not accepting the excuse Costco Tyer centre staff provided. To mention , all 4tyers brand as Bridgestone. Costco back Tyers model is almost $300 more expensive each than front model. So is it worth to use Costco Tyers a bit cheaper than market price but not even half durable .

And the Costco Tyer centre staff also try to avoid my warranty as I am not current member, membership expired 20 days ago. I argued that product warranty is not membership warranty. Moreover, depending on how they deal with the issue, then I will consider whether to become a member or not.

I have to change my both back Tyers on my own cost, as I need the car and can not wait for the long claim process . I definitely Did not change them in Costco this time.

I will update the progress how Costco deal with it.

Caution with Docklands Tyre centre: – I took my flat tyre (3 months old) to Costco docklands and was advised by them that tyre is unrepairable. Took the tyre to the local tyre centre and got it repaired. It was shocking to me. Please do not believe this people always get second opinion. It is a total rip off. They deceiving the customers to get a new one, even though the tyre was fixable. Show details

Do not go to Francis at Tyre Centre – I have been member of Costco since they open the shops in Dockland. In late March, I tried their tyre service and met Francis, the consultant at Costco Tyre Centre. He was very rude to me, not happy for whatever reasons. I called to book and been told by him the tyres were available over the phone. I booked an appointment and came in, then he told… Read more

me tyres were NOT available, and asked me to pay the full amount $1400. I did! I left my contacts, emails. He said he would call me when the tyres are ready. I did not get any calls, txt messages or Emails for two months. Then I call the centre, been told they called me twice of my mobile. I truely did not get the calls. I asked why don't you just send a single TXT message or an email, telling me it is ready. They replied, they don't do TXT messages or emails. I was very upset because i love costco, and I am currently shareholder of the company. The service at Costco is not good at all. I am going to get the refund. will go other place for business.

Very very terriable – Review is not worth for even zero.for cashier name victor T , coustomer service , member service and management team. customer. I have heap of experience with Costco all over the world but never seen very rude staff and missed management like Docklands Costco. With my e experience, in term of items and prices nothing more special than local sotre like Cole’s, woolworth, etc. So it is not worth do become member at this store. Staffs were behaving like this business my be down soon. Those staffs the behave like they are feeding all costumers ,Costco is special place and not comparable in Australia. Zero star for Costco, I will get refund for members fee that is not worth store to become member. I don’t strongly recommend new member .

Shopping fairyland for family – It never happens that we went to Costco and didn’t find something interesting and valuable buy. We are Costco members for 11 years and have shopped extensively over these years. items and clothing for the seasons too. I am always comfortable and confident of getting the best quality of everything I buy from here; sometime much cheaper that other places, sometime not! But always of best quality… I use Costco tire services, always cheapest, have brought electronics and jewellery. I have always been supported and have always got refund if things went wonky. I would say, it is a great shopping place for families. With 2 hour parking that covers shopping and trip to next door shopping mall, it is always easy place to drive and shop. Not to mention the cheapest mega pizza and other lunch/dinner menus. It’s been a standard feature of our birthday parties, summer parties in park and office pizza time. All in all, best shopping place for families - small and large.

Big savings on hearing aids and glasses/contact lenses – Costco’s $60 membership fee is definitely worth it if you need to buy contact lenses or hearing aids. You’ll be tested by audiologists and optometrists and health insurance extras cover is accepted. Quality hearing aids, manufactured by respected brands but sold under Costco’s brand, are about $5,000 less than buying from an audiologist. My… Read more

wife met a woman from Adelaide in the Docklands store who had flown to Melbourne to buy hearing aids at Costco. Even after all the costs of the trip, she worked out Costco would save her thousands compared with buying them back home.

For glasses, Costco have a good selection of designer prescription frames at good prices. Contact lenses are a lot cheaper than at discount optical stores, plus you can get a new contacts prescription every year, free with your Medicare card (many opticians charge extra for contact lens prescriptions).

Giant mayonnaise? Unless you have 6 sandwich-loving kids, it’s probably better to just buy it elsewhere when it’s on sale.

Love their meat and bakery – I love Costco meat, not always cheap but good quality. Bakery is great prices. Membership is not always worth it tho, I don't find it all that cheap as you can wait for specials at coles or safe way and get cheaper. But Costco as said do have great meat and cakes.

Costco docklands – If you choose between Costco Docklands and Costco Epping.. goodness choose Costco docklands...It’s spacious.. items are easy to find... the food court has lots tables and chairs unlike in Epping..I mean yes it has its own gas station but that’s all I can say that’s good about it.. overall Epping Costco is a big no no for me.. and the staff at docklands are quite nice and friendly.

Terrible service – Drove to the Docklands store at 3pm. Had 2 attendants standing outside, just standing and not directing traffic. After shopping, it took me 1 hour to leave the parking lot. Distance to the exit was no more than 100 meters. The trolley return bay was so full because no one was taking it away. It stated to pile up until it obstructed traffic. Cars… Read more

were exiting from all lane ways. In addition, car were also driving in. The lack of traffic system made it impossible to leave the parking lot. Lastly after an hour, I managed to drive out and it made my blood boil to see the 2 same attendants were standing outside having a nice chat with each other rather than doing their job and managing the parking lot. My last year with Costco for sure. Wouldn't recommend the store to anyone.

Poor customer service re portable spa – I went and spoke to Costco about a portable spa that they offered for $799 for my terminally ill wife who can't get upstairs anymore to our spa bath which gives her a lot of relief. Asked by the cashier to pay cash only – This is the most ridiculous experience I’ve ever had with Costco. I went to Costco in Docklands with my friend last week. Bad customer service – I went to Costco docklands and I observed this behaviour at check out quite a few time that salesmen don't know that item is on sale. They will give you quote of original price and when you asked that this is on sale they start denying. On Christmas eve this happen to me again. Don't know what's wrong with them. and farmers' markets.

From time to time, we will purchase some of the clothing and find it to be top quality especially if it’s the Kirkland Organic Cotton range.

Some of their bulk spirits are also very good value.

Between Aldi and Costco, there are fantastic savings to be had.

We can’t wait for Kaufland to open their doors.
