Crossray 2-Burner Built-In

I'm loving it. It cooks so fast but I'm struggling to control it! how do I cook the basics like sausages without them burning on the grill lines? The temps to go to 250+ C within 10 mins and I end up putting the sausages inside on the upper racks and cooking like an oven..I know once I learn to control this it is an absolute weapon! Show reply

Heats up fast and cooks evenly. Hardly any flare-ups, which is a win, and it’s easy to clean too. Looks sleek and feels solid, not like some of those flimsy ones. Perfect for weekend barbies or a quick midweek cook-up. Show details ·  1

If you like a BBQ that can get very hot then this is the one. Cooking fast and hot is great for flavour and juiciness. But it can be kept right down by turning off a burner. Self cleaning by leaving on high for 5 minutes. Solidly built. Show details ·  1

So far not great – Purchased with natural gas conversion kit that didn't include the required 1.85mm jets for the TCS2, which I also purchased on the same order. Rang Crossray and they don't include them anymore be because the "igniters are upgraded on this model now" and that I should use the provided 1.77mm jets. conversion kit instructions still refer to this barbeque needing 1.85mm jets. Presumably this means every TCS2 will underperform and not reach the advertised BTU rating because you don't provide the rated jets any more? I haven't even finish connecting up the barbeque and already not a great experience.

Upgraded Gas BBQ – just upgraded my freestanding gas BBQ to a new outdoor kitchen and both my daughter and i love cooking with them.

Good BBQ - Great support – The little 2 burner has been great. Essentially we haven't given it a second thought. After more than a year, nothing has really gone wrong with the BBQ. efficiently, not too many flare ups, important parts stay exceptionally clean

Cons: Does food come out better (less dry or juicier?) - can't say for sure Pull out drip tray doesn't seem to do much. Might be that we just don't get enough fat down there.

Finally, aside from being a solid product, the support is great. We had a question that we emailed off and Brandon was responsive and fixed out issues incredible quickly. At a certain price point all products are generally solid, but the customer service experience is what you remember. So big kudos to the support. That alone is worth it for us.

350degreesC like we had seen in the reviews. It was only ever reaching 300 degreeC after both burners on full for 30min or so. It still performed with even cooking and did Pizza's, steaks etc superbly. It heat cleaned okay, but not as per the online videos. Hence about 5 weeks ago (towards the end of June'20) I contacted Crossray by posting on their website that it was not reaching the temperatures as outlined. I was very impressed as within 2 working days they replied with describing that with their 2 burner models, early production models had gas jets nozzles that were a bit too thin and not reaching the desired high temperatures. They suspected this was the case with mine and they would send me the updated correct larger hole size jets. They even included the tool required and instructions on how to change them. They couriered them to me within days and ALL of these were free of charge, including the delivery. These did arrive and it's not difficult to change at all if you can use a screw driver. To their credit they were correct as the existing 2 jet nozzles sizes(1 for each burner) were a bit smaller than what they had sent me. I was further very impressed with this level of service to recover this BBQ and amount of care shown at no additional cost. After I changed them there was an amazing difference and instantly it would heat up to about 350degreeC after about 20-25min with burners on full. If I leave it for about 10 min longer or so it can get up to a max. of 360-370degreeC. For the few weeks since early July'20 I have been cooking Pizza's (only takes 4 min to now cook on Pizza stones, as per online crossray videos) also Steaks, vegetables etc. cook beautifully as per online reviews/videos by crossray. Also, cleaning within the BBQ is superb with much of the excess turning to char/ash and oils going into oil tray if you follow how they show online after cooking each time. Thus it now meets all my expectations as per the online videos from Crossray and I highly recommend that this high quality product meets what is shown by Crossray and other positive reviews online.
