Crown Relocations Australia
QLD, Banyo, NSW, Smithfield, WA, Welshpool, etc... (See All)It started well, the initial quote was positive and the movers who packed our belongings were great.
Communication then dropped off the map. I’ve had to chase multiple times for updates. I’ve called the landline in our new city and most of the time it either didn’t go through or wasn’t answered. Emails have gone unanswered. Our belongings have been held by customs because an error message was missed “because we [[Name Removed]- who apparently do all the work for Crown, we found out later] are moving offices”. I reached out to our consultant f...
Read morerom Crown who at the time of the quote said he’d “be there every step of the way” - he is yet to even return my call. In short, throughout the experience it feels like no-one except the professional movers in Sydney have understood that they’re taking care of 90% of our belongings. They’ve taken responsibility for our wedding photos, our daughter’s cot, our family memories. I don’t expect a constant stream of communication, but I expected to know where our belongings are at any given time, have phone calls and emails returned, and to feel as though you at least care about what you’ve taken on.- Rates and Fees

2 moves in 3 years... couldn't have done it without them.
Helpful, friendly, professional and their after sales care is amazing. During this Covid time, Crown in Brisbane made our move personal by video calling to see what we had, in order to offer a favourable proposal. It was seamless from the start to finish, from paperwork to using skilled and efficient removal services. Highly recommended.

This is my experience having moved from a 4 bedroom place in Sydney to Hong Kong.
INCREDIBLY dissatisfied. Not only were we severely misquoted, several items were left behind and not included in our delivery, our personal effects were haphazardly packed (personal documents packed with tens of packing paper, whilst having our porcelain figurines packed with literally ONE sheet of packing paper - not even any bubble wrap), packing team were rude on location, and whilst the delivery folks in HK were polite and fast -- unfortunately, that was the only passable experience we had with Crown. I wish I can tell everyone who is planning to relocate with Crown to STEER CLEAR AND BEWARE.

I booked an international removals through Crown and they sent Grace to do my move from Sydney to London (1 BR apartment). Brilliant service today, thy guys were professional, efficient and did a great job with all the packing. Crown customer service (Robert and Anthea!) has been great and faultless from the start, good communication and all my questions answered. Thanks and keep up the good work.
18 Dec: After a great start, I'm disappointed to say that I'm trying to resolve a few issues at the moment. Will update my review soon.

Very decent and amazing experience. From the uplift to the drop-off, it has been very smooth except the miscommunication among Crown logistics team for the date. We had to wait for extra 2 - 3 weeks to deliver our items to be delivered at the destination. Apart from that, it was a great relocation. Will use it again if required for interstate and international relocation in the future.

We moved half a container from Sydney Australia to the UK. Generally dealing with Crown staff was ok but upon receiving our possessions in the UK almost everything was packed badly so a huge number of items were damaged. Some examples; Ceramic kitchenware wrapped in a piece of paper at the bottom of a large box, photo frames piled on top of each other, a chair leg completely broken off. It's clear boxes were piled too high, fragile items were crushed under heavier items. I don't think our Crown removal people had ever packed boxes before.

The worst I have ever hired to move my house, expensive but terrible services.
Paid for ~ $13K to move my furniture from New Zealand to Melbourne. Everything went really wrong right from the beginning. First, I had a good experience with Crown UK when moving to NZ so I trusted this company. I got the quote and it looked alright, about $10K, then they increased the prices by 30% a few days before the packing day. No choice for me, so I went ahead, felt being phished already. But this was not the worst. They promised to deliver by mid Jan 2021, so I would expect to have our stuff by end of Jan 2021 (about 2 months after th...
Read moree packing day). As such, I stayed in the airbnb and rented an unfurnished apartment but they kept delaying and blaming on the ship line with uncertain delivery days, so I had to buy basic furniture while waiting for the delivery. It finally took another 2 months to fix the delivery date, totalling up to 4 months. Not yet the worst to come. As I live in an apartment, I must book the lift in advance, so I would expect from them a flexible set of options as I paid (a lot!) for that. But they only wanted to give the time in their favour. Finally, they decided to book with the worst option to deliver my stuff in the afternoon and said they would not assemble and unwrap all my stuff because it would be late for them. The delivery was also really late, booked from 1pm but they said they would arrive at ~ 2.30pm. Again, I felt being cheated as I paid for this. They could change to other dates in the morning slots but they locked me in their favourite slot already. No choice for me cuz I need my furniture badly for the new born baby. I would never recommend my colleagues and friends to use this service. I will escalate this issue with my employer HR and ask them not to recommend this company in the offer letter to future employees. I wish I could rate this service 0!- Incentivised Review No
After getting 4 quotes for fixed volume in Singapore we decided to go with crown , we didn’t lock in a quote as our shift date was still likely to change. When we finally were ready to book our quote had increased by 30% due to Covid and groupage service not being available, (this we accepted as ok ) . Despite our Initial quote being for a fixed volume which didn't increase when uplifted, we were billed a further 50 % on the already increased Covid price after the pick up as the lift van packed service requires additional volume due to the crates.
The actual shipping time was acceptable. Grace handled the Australia doorstep delivery and communication was good

Am currently an unsatisfied customer of Crown Relocations - moving from Singapore to Sydney, we chose the service as they promised a relatively fast timeline and the salesperson was quick to cater to our needs. We switched from a more local mover to an international one, expecting it to be more trustworthy. Boy, were we’re wrong. Once payment was made, there service stopped. Their promised arrival date range is looking to be late by over 1 month. We had to chase our mobility advisor for updates constantly. And once our packages left Singapore, ...
Read morethe responses dropped even lower. We had to track outlet ship daily on progress as no one would tell us what is happening. When the ship is delayed by more 2 weeks, there was no update and we had to enquiry on the reason. At this point, we are living out of our luggages in Sydney, my kids are asking why they can’t play with their toys, we are racking up a massive bill on hotel fees/food - we have a place but no furniture or furnishings. We asked what is the delay and their answer? Covid loh. Asked them what can they do? Too bad lah. Ask to speak to their manager, no call back. What are we to do while stranded here in a new country? I’m utterly gutted by how our new life has started and Crown has played a major hand in making it so. So while I’m waiting endlessly for my stuff, I’m taking the chance to warn any and everyone that if they are moving anywhere, to choose ANYBODY else.- Incentivised Review No
Moved a 3 bedroom house interstate. The actual move was great, no issues at all, however it was carried out by Crown's "sister company" Grace removals.
I read the agreement in full and thought the "Rise and Fall" clause allowing them to on charge any changes in their costs was reasonable. However they entirely restructured their business and increased my signed agreement buy 65% (thousands of $ in this case) citing this clause as reason for the increase. This was also less than 2 months before our planned move so changing removalists was not p...

Moved a full container of household goods between Singapore and Melbourne over Dec / Jan and was shocked to find boxes damaged and water damage to furniture inside them. Crown also seemed to subcontract delivery to another company and then provided no support when damage was relayed to them.

Moving a 2 bedroom house from Melbourne, AU to Wellington, NZ. Was recommended Crown by friends who said the service was great. I have unfortunately had the complete opposite experience to great. Communication has been poor from the start and I have always had to follow up multiple times to get responses or answers. Phone calls go answered and the Crown team could work on using out of office bounce emails. The move was contracted out by Crown to another service provider (without me being informed) so I was very confused when another moving comp...
Read moreany turned up. I had also specifically requested crates for my wine collection which were not provided and instead was packed poorly into normal cardboard boxes. My relocation consultant was on leave the day of my move which had also not been communicated. I was told later that the wine would be repacked however no photos were provided of proof - I await to see this when my goods arrive hopefully in one piece. Packers weren't very efficient in packing as the volume went up from quoted 15m3 to 20m3. Packers came on 25/09. After no updates following the invoice for the increased volume 08/10 (they also first sent me an invoice for an entirely different client) I contacted my relocation consultant on 17/10 to ask for vessel details. Estimated arrival in NZ was 17/11 with 15 business days for customs clearance. I tracked the ship which arrived 13/11. It has now been well over 15 business days with no update and no reply to emails at 09/12.- Incentivised Review No
2 Bedroom Apartment plus a Study to be moved from Sydney to Adelaide - it wasn't international and they still have messed up majority of my high value items. I was told they have adequate capacity to move my apartment and that I should be assured about my high value items.
Guys who came to pack the house were done in 3 hours and the ones who came for the uplift were super upset with the magnitude of work that was there. They were not given tools to do their job and same with Adelaide - I am still waiting on a response from them about all the d...
