Excellent communication. Were kept informed throughout the process. The work was completed within the time frame we were told. The tradesmen who did the work were very professional and answered all questions we asked of them! Would certainly recommend Curran's to others.

Office work excessively hard to grab any money they can. Exsessive quotes, horrible communication and lack of care for customers, even on a membership level. Refuses to pay rebates as they won't do it upfront, and won't tell you that until you're stuck paying the invoice then ignore you even 4 months later.

wear branded uniforms and their vehicles would also be branded. I chose a time that was convenient for me; Dylan was transparent with costs and provided guidance with time frames and product information so that I could make the all important informed decision. On the day the work was carried out, all of the tradies (Josh, Lucas and Dave) were punctual, well mannered and courteous. If these qualities are what matter to you, I recommend not looking anwhere else.

Excellent Service!!! – Great customer service. Very informative from start to finish communicated with us throughout the whole process. Extremely professional, but down to earth and friendly. having been manipulated and pressured by Currans Plumbing into paying a deposit and signing contracts she could not comprehend. They installed a Rheem tank that cost $3,521.19 (see attached screenshot) and should only take one hour to install, yet she was billed a total of $11,500.00!

My mother specifically requested an experienced installer, not an apprentice, but Currans sent apprentices to her home. Despite my Mum’s phone requests for a receipt mailed tom her, Currans did not provide an email receipt until I phoned to ask for one on May 23rd. A hard copy was finally mailed to my mother on June 7th. Currans promised to service her air conditioning units at no cost, assist with a rebate, and refund $163.53 for the “Priority Service membership,” which they have failed to do.

LONG HISTORY OF POOR CUSTOMER REVIEWS It is clear that Currans Plumbing does not care about their customers or it’s reputation. Despite our numerous calls and emails with [Name Removed] and [Name Removed], there has been no refund, no apology or remedy to this situation, just excuses, more confusing “amended” invoices and even a “We are a big company and have high insurances”?!?! Right, so that gives you the right to exploit pensioners? Currans promote themselves as being a family owned and run local business for 30years, but can’t get their communications across their team, invoicing, morals and ethics right. Just google and you will see the long history of unsatisfied customers Currans have ripped off for many years.

here , plus one of these items to control that and so on. Half way through the process he said I would be charged a service fee of $80 which would be charged in the quote if I accepted the offer !!! , he showed me 3 quotes, one for just over $1700, one for just over $1200 , and over $750 to repair what I requested originally, and that was more than double the price from another plumbers previous quote ! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY people, if you're unsuspecting you could get STUNG !

Stated fees of $98 for a drain clean then tried slamming me over $400 to clear a bathroom floor waste once on site (the solids could be seen easily) and my god the excuses to charge so much was next level. Never again.

 Follow-up  · They phoned and tried telling me that part of the plumbing wasnt part of the sewer system and thus meaning the extra charges applied. Yeah right!!!! I still dont understand why 2 guys had to turn up to do the job. It appears to be nothing more than a cash grab to cover wages for the 2 staff. NEVER AGAIN. There are also a lot of other sites with less than glowing reviews about the way they charge. None of those sites have received this review.

STAY AWAY - these guys are ridiculously overpriced. They completely took advantage of an emergency situation and put us on the spot. Their tactic is to wait until they are physically at your house to give you the pricing, knowing you’re desperate for hot water and really have no choice but to agree right then and there. on the spot, including an insane $10,000 option. I now see that they lead with an absurdly high price just to make their other grossly inflated options seem "cheap" in comparison.

When I looked into the actual costs after the fact, I realised we paid DOUBLE what the going rate should have been. We were charged roughly $3,800 for a basic, like-for-like replacement of an 80L electric water heater. The unit itself retails for about $800, which means they essentially charged us $3,000 just for the labour on a straightforward swap.

They capitalised on our vulnerability during a plumbing emergency. Never again. Don't trust these people.

Steer clear of Currans, the 4.7 overall review score is misleading -- click lowest reviews to check the many, many scathing minimum one-star reviews -- same story of serious overcharging, which is what we experienced. 97-year-old mother, a Curran’s electrician persuaded her there was additional urgent, major work needed. Mum signed up for $10,635.90 of work, which was completed in about six hours, presumably with any and all parts readily available on site (how often does that happen?). Mum paid the next day, yet Curran refuses to provide an itemised invoice. They have not even sent her a Certificate of Compliance, as they promised Fair Trading. Why are they unwilling to provide documentation? Get in touch with me at stephenwmarsland@outlook.com if you have had problems with Currans, as per all of the negative reviews, and would like to explore a combined submission to the ACCC and other state and federal authorities. Overcharging anyone is bad, “convincing” a 97-year-old woman to pay them $10,000 is appalling.

Michael was very helpful doing all the checks and doing some modifications we needed. Replacing the third toilet, replacing the shower taps in the down stairs bathroom and upgrading the sink mixer tap in the kitchen. We contacted Currans after our hot water system stopped working on a Thursday. They came out the following day (being a Friday) and quoted us $6,800 to replace the hot water system. We have small children and had no hot water, so proceeded. The total work took approx. 5 to 6 hours, and we had a plumber and electrician come out for different… Read more

periods of time. On leaving, they told us the hot water system would not work for another 24 hours. Had they told us this we would have sough other quotes noting that we would not have had hot water the same day. We requested a detailed invoice and received no response for over a week so raised a complaint fair trading. We then received a breakdown of the costs which were all inflated. This is fine noting a business needs to make money however the quote included:

“Finance provider processing and risk fees” And “Business overheads and operating margin”

We went back to Currans and requested a refund of $1,138 because: we did not take out finance and paid the invoice in full on the day so considered the fee unjustified, and we did our own breakdown of the individual costs listed above, and they were already higher than the most generous costs indicating overheads and operating margins were already included in the invoice, as such we requested a refund of the costs associated with this. We have received no response from Currans, and Fair Trading notified us that they can only assist if the hot water system is faulty or not functioning. Our option is to go to the Civil Tribunal which will cost us more. Given there are no further options for customers we are posting about our experience in the hope others will not be in the same position. While we certainly should have shopped around, being unable to reasonably justify costs and taking advantage of young families is not something that should be tolerated or accepted by a business.

, obtained the water heater and also organised for Josh to work on installation of water heater .Josh was fantastic as well as the electrician in showing me everything and explaining the installation and operation including the wifi controller app. The work was professional from start to finish . I have used Curren Plumbing in the past and they have always provided efficient and excellent service. I will continue to use this great company .

I was finding it difficult to use all my existing taps. Curran reviewed all these and other potential plumbing issues. They provided immediate fixed price quotes for different options.
