My experience with Hayden and the Irwin's Plumbing has been exceptional. Hayden was friendly, helpful, genuine and knows what he's doing. This came off the back of a not so good experience with another company and I'm really glad we found these guys. We booked Irwin’s Plumbing for a pre‑arranged weekday appointment to investigate a leak in our home. When the plumber arrived, we were told the situation was an “emergency” requiring extensive and urgent works. have credit card charges totalling $8,822. The emergency crew that arrived was ONE junior plumber. We requested to pay by bank transfer but were told due to 'time of day' it needed to be credit card.
Unfortunately, the leak was not fixed, and additional damage was left to our kitchen cabinetry and tile seals. We have a significant hole in our kitchen cabinet, broken shelves, and damage to our kitchen tiles as a result of these works.
The next day, the leak continued and worsened. We contacted the company in writing to request a detailed breakdown of the charges and to raise concerns about the unresolved leak. We wanted to understand how we have paid what appears to be a junior plumber over $1k an hour to cause destruction in our kitchen, and not fix the leak. To date, no itemised breakdown has been provided. We subsequently requested a full refund due to the major failure of the service. To date, we have not received a refund.
Following our complaint, we experienced an unannounced visit at 6:50am, despite having requested written communication only. This was very concerning first thing in the morning. We have photo and video evidence of the ongoing leak, the damage left behind, and the early‑morning attendance.
For comparison, a licensed independent plumber attended, identified the cause, and repaired the issue in under an hour for $210. His invoice clearly outlines the work performed and details his concerns with the pricing and work completed by Irwin's.
This review reflects our personal experience, supported by documentation, and is shared to assist other consumers in making informed decisions. Had I wanted to demo my kitchen, I would have done it myself for free myself. Photos are of the mess they left under the sink baseboard, the damage to some of the tiles, and my cabinet that now has a large hole in it with the shelving broken and removed.

Follow-up · Re: My review. It was a burst pipe under the sink after me trying to replace the tap and install a water filter. The final bill was around $1300. It was a major repair. But "Elliot" did recommend the cheapest path for me. He suggested if I went to the hardware and changed to the appropriate tap, he could fit that for a few hundred dollars cheaper.… Read more

Follow-up · Truthfully? After getting two other quote- the initial $1200 to fix the job should have been $580. And the quote of 12k to rip up paving ( not needed) traffic management and fix roots in drains has just been quoted $990 for a sleeve and no ripping up if anything. 12k for 2.5m of pipe that would cost about $40 and the fact the supervisor… Read more

Rick was polite and on time. Unfortunately our Hot Water Service problem ( after a thorough) diagnosis was not resolved, we've been directed back to the manufacturer for further investigation or replacement of the unit which is only 3 years old. Thanks Rick for your professional service.

Blocked sewer. Came out to clear. Was told impossible to remove tree roots without digging because jet blaster not able to do so. Cost over 1,250.00 to clear blockage in less than 2 hours. Given a quote for 16.5k to dig and replace 1.5m of pipe. Pipe reblocked within 5 days so got real estate plumber. Same equipment - removed 6m of tree roots - cost 750.00. They offered a full refund when I complained but then refused to follow through without having a verbal discussion with me. I had stipulated all correspondence in writing. Irwin's provided vague and unconvincing reasons why they could not refund without talking to me - all flimsy reasons that were veiled as 'customer care' and such nonsense but would have likely instead been a request to remove my public Facebook post about them or sign a non-disclosure agreement. As luck would have it, my hot water system broke down at the start of winter. Irwin's Plumbing got on to it pretty quick - Bailey attended on the same day to carry out the diagnostics and de-commission the old water system. check. My wife and I are happy with the nature of our interactions with all of them. I felt that the pricing was a little on the high side - even after taking into account factors such as the speed at which they attended (which I genuinely appreciate), and the challenge of working in a tight space - the total cost was a significant mark-up on a single element hot water unit. I did sign the documents at the time, so I cannot blame anyone - but it is the only reason it is missing one star. Everything else was superb.
Irwin’s plumbing were absolutely amazing to deal with. From start to finish, the team was reliable, fast, efficient and kept me up to date with the works everyday. They found the solution to what we needed to get fixed and within days, it was all back to normal! I am looking at working with them again on another project as the job they have done was incredible. Failed hot water system, and we had a quick response to our call for ‘help’. Irwin Technician/plumber great to deal with, explained what has happened to the old unit, and of what options available going forward. Needless to say, matter resolved quickly and a plan of fixing agreed to, requiring a new unit. Irwin technician explained everything clearly, and very courteous thru our discussions.. communication with the company and had a productive conversation with Andrew he has alleviated a lot of my concerns. Although my first interaction with Irwin's Plumbing may not have been positive, all interactions since then, have been. They are clearly committed to remedying negative interactions and do everything possible to improve.
Booking process was quick and easy. Jack arrived within specified time frame - issue was promptly diagnosed and the repair was done straight away. All options for repairs were explained and the process in general was pleasant and easy. Show reply

just did his work professionally. He had an Ute full of professional Milwaukee’s tools, high pressure jet washer etc..
At first he checked the drains blockage with camera, after that cleared it up with high pressure water jet. Once cleared, he cleared all the spills on the ground with clean water and run through the camera again. He made sure it twice by checking the free flow of water in the drain.
I am very much satisfied with his work, definitely I recommend him and Irwin’s plumbing to my mates.
