two other plumbers for comparison. We were told the same job would be around $700.

That is a huge difference.

We were also charged a $149 service/call-out fee, which we understand and would normally have no issue with. However, all we received for that fee was a quote that, based on the other quotes we subsequently obtained, appeared extremely inflated.

We understand that businesses set their own prices, but after speaking with other plumbers, we felt the quote we received was extremely unreasonable. As first-time customers, we were very disappointed by the experience.

Unfortunately, we would not use this company again and cannot recommend them.

The plumber himself was lovely it was the pricing and overall experience that really made this experience disappointing.

Weekend without water. The office advised that the fee for Plumber would be. $120 to come out. Plumber came out that afternoon, I had sent photos of the leak to the Plumber prior to his arrival. When Plumber arrived he said he will call the office and give me a quote first, he then advised me that it will cost me $ 680 for him to climb up my ladder and inspect the leak. I then asked so how much would it be to carry out repairs, he the went back outside to call his office, he came back and said the total fee to carry out repairs was going to be $1,280. This is even before they had looked at the leak. I told the plumber i was not prepared to pay this price. His office called me once I advised them that I was not going to pay extortion fees. I paid them the quoted $120 FEE (which came to $141.90) 7.5 % card surcharge plus GST.

I Then called 2 local plumbers, one came out within the hour and completed the job in 20 minutes. Total cost was $375 . PENSIONERS BEWARE I would not recommend this company Zero Star rating

Be very aware of dealing with these people - they tried to grossly overcharge a 1st home buyer. To replace a burst hose from a washing machine to the hot water tap $800+. at no cost. It was a blatant and embarrassing scam on someone unfamiliar with this type of work. $170.50 call out fee was already paid (Saturday rate).

pricing and communication very disappointing. I was also asked to leave a review immediately and provide a photo, which I felt was inappropriate.

To be completely honest, I contacted this company after seeing their reviews, but based on my experience, I would not recommend them. The pricing felt excessive, and I believe customers should get a clear and consistent price from the beginning.

Please consider getting a second quote before using this company.

Call out fee has to be paid upfront and they wait online until you have made payment, no time to read their pages of terms and conditions prior. urgency of agreeing to replacing a hot water system that was still working. The guys that came out were lovely, on time and cleaned up after themselves but had to constantly contact the supervisor and that's where the hard sell comes from.

Edit: Definitely get quotes to fix reported problems and follow up. Irwins got a fixed pricing it seems to fix problems that need follow up which might be overly expensive..
