Cussons Imperial Leather Soap Questions & Answers
Imperial leather soap contains animal fats?like pig or other animals fats etc.
I have used this for years but now it cracks after just a couple of days. Is there a reason why this is?
Yes there is, although 'Cussons' claim that the product is 'original' they have substituted animal fat for vegetable oil, they have also changed the fragrance to compliment(?) the improved(?) base. So it is no longer original as they claim, nor does it smell the same. It also dries my skin. Hope that helps.

I suggest you contact the manufacturer not a consumer, who knows what it contains.
My imperial leather soap has developed a brownish kind of rush when i kept it wet in a cold place for 8 weeks. Does it mean its expired? please answer
The soap is disappointing enough already. Looks like it's now decayed. Bin it.
This could be a crook batch. Check the product number and let them know for quality assurance purposes.
Does anyone know why PZ Cussons stopped making their range of liquid shower and hand wash soaps that were so amazingly popular and now only seem to make crappy soap that hurts your hand and body to use ?

I would love to buy the rights for some of their liquid soap range and produce it myself, there is certainly plenty of demand out there and with Covid-19 an issue, plenty of customers wanting a great product that encourages you to wash your hands...
Ditto. Their play seems to have been, "Let's take one of the world's best products, go cheap, tell the customers nothing happened, and keep charging them premium prices." I think that's what they teach in business school.
Where is imperial leather soap made?
I have no idea where it is made. Best Google Cussons company direct and ask them.
Some of it comes from Thailand, some from Africa, and I think that some is still made in the UK. Here in the US, when we order the "Original" soap, we get soap made in Thailand according to the "New and Improved", highly disappointing formula. How it can be, original, new, and improved is beyond me, especially given that it's barely better than the cheapest deodorant soap and costs much more.
