This has been a perfect fridge/freezer – Bought this fridge, brand new, 5 years ago. It has been a great fridge / freezer. Has run well over the past 5 years. Never had a problem with it at all. It's quiet, there's plenty of room in both fridge and freezer. It's easy to clean and the light lights up well through the glass shelves. I've been really happy with this fridge.  Show details

Shelving falling apart – The exact same thing happened to us, the fridge works perfectly but all the shelving broke within two months, finding spare parts in New Zealand is a nightmare, customer service from Australia doesn't answer my emails, I think would be cheaper to buy a new one... Do not buy this product – The fridge was purchased in june 2013 and has had a continual issue with water leaking from it . The instructions say to clean the defrost drain vessel which requires removing the panel off back of the fridge. We have never had a fridge that requires removing a back panel. unhelpful staff. This fridge should have been recalled based on the number of similar complaints we have seen on Product Review .Do your homework and think again before buying Daewoo.

We have now purchased a new fridge after extensive research and it’s definitely not Daewoo.

Terrible - Don't bother buying – I have had this fridge for 3 years. It has issues with its temperature staying cold. There is a known design flaw with this model. Multiple times I have had to throw out my fridges contents because of spoilage. Hundreds of dollars thrown into the bin! Do yourself a favour and buy a more reputable brand.  Show details

Poorly made parts – Had the fridge for about 4 years; like two other reviews here one day the plastic frames on the refrigerator shelves just fell apart. Clearly poorly made. Had an issue with the door being off its hinge and leaking air after about 2 years. Had issues with "warm pockets" the entire time we've had it. Usable but not good.  Show details

What a relief – Bought this new, cause my other fridge was HORRIFIC ! Got a refund. This Daewoo, so far (only 1 month) is great. It's quiet, I have a VERY small flat. Generally, the layout is good. taste in food and you put it on the middle shelf, the lighting is very poor. Basically I have to place the food on either side of the light, so I can see better.

Temperature, both in freezer and fridge is good. But don't place any fruit or veg on the bottom shelf at the back, it freezes . Use the drawer, which does not have a divider, so veg and fruit get mixed up.

Badly made internal parts – Had it for 3 years and one day i opened the door and one of the shelves broke, the plastic rim around the glass literally fell into 5 pieces. So i sighed and proceeded to empty the fridge and removed the second shelf and that too fell into pieces.......both at the same time! cleaning. Looking at the bottom shelf (only remaining now) which is plastic....on the veg drawer....that has a massive crack down the center....i'm presuming that will go any day now......then it's only good for a beer keg! The mechanics work. i.e. keeps things cold (freezing at the back in fact) internal components are made to break....very badly made.

Look good but that's about it – Our fridge is constantly broken. we had to throw away our grocery like 3 times since we got it. that's been 4 weeks we have a really regret our purchase. we bought it used so stuck with it. Really BAD EXPERIENCE. It look good and it is a good size but my fridge is just not usefull.

No problem – Sorry to hear the bad reports, I have had mine for 2 years in north QLD in a very hot house and I have had no problems with it, touch wood. for the price I cant complane as my beer is allways cold when I get home if I get another year ill be happy. Dave.

daewoo fridges – i own a daewoo fridge and it wont defrost keeps freezing up and stops air flow loses temp but tech cant find fault best buy other brand leave these in top where they belong maybe i can get advice here i have lost so much food as it does it when i am away sometimes freezes up when it suits itself

Simly the horrible and the worst possable refridgerator – I bought my refridgerator on march2011 and it has been giving problem since jun2011. Just sfter buying of this product I had to change the compressure 2 times and timer 3 times and aulanetorcooler 1 times. Its simply horrible. I am lucky that I am in warrenty period and my distributor agreed to give my money back Product quality is very bad
