Daikin Floor Standing
Verified2 reviews
Practical and efficient – I opted for a floor standing air conditioner in my lounge because I didn't have anywhere to put a wall-mounted split system (too many high windows). To be honest, I wouldn't have paid the extra money for the freestanding variant if it wasn't my only option. It's bulkier than wall-mounted systems and not particularly pretty. The cooling seems to be the same quality and efficiency as my wall-mounted split system (very good). This model is very quiet and brings down/up the temperature quickly. I bought this through Absolute Cool in Toowoomba, who also installed it. They were excellent to deal with.
Purchased in at Absolute Cool for $920.
- Home Insulation Level: Good
- Room Type: Living/Dining Area
Costs a lot but no regrets – I went with the 7.1KW and it ended up costing me a just under $5k installed, which definitely hurt, but after 12 months of living with it I wouldn't hesitate to make the same decision again. Pro's: Warm house when I get up. Warm house when I get home from work. The house isn't covered in dust from the fire. I also no longer need to vacuum every second day because of all the crap dropped from the firewood I was constantly bringing inside. More room in the garage now the wood pile has gone. Looks pretty nice. I've paired it with a Sensibo Sky so I can control it from my phone whilst I'm on my way home and it's worked seamlessly.
Cons: Power Bill. Sad Cats with no fire to lounge in front of :-(
