Installed two of these units End of November 2024. One works okay the other has never been right. Once the summer heat hit it was absolutely useless. Two visits from the installer, four visits from Daikin analysing replaced a few bits and 3 months later after paying for this thing in full it still doesn’t work. I am really annoyed and wished now I had installed Mitsubishi. Stay away from this product.Eventually the whole unit had to be replaced after a full first summer.
Purchased in for $1,700.

Compressor and Pump DIED at 5 years and 2 month – Despite 12 monthly deluxe service/cleans, this aircon has been problematic it's entire install. First the cleaner picked up a hole in the coil, which took OVER 3 MONTHS to fix due to waiting on parts. Then at the 5 year and 2 month mark the compressor and pump suddenly die. No warranty, no help from service companies :/ Have 5 Daikins installed and WILL NEVER BUY Daikin again (the bedroom aircon is also slowly dying 2 years after install it's blowing warm air and has already had an external fan unit repaired under warranty)!! I should have stuck to Panasonics and Fujitsus that went 12 years before these, but the aircon installer insisted Daikin was the best - what utter [Content Removed]!

Thanks, but I don't care to be stuffed around for 3 more months :/ It's far easier to just get rid of Daikin permanently from my life ;) To the point that when the next 4 Daikins die, EVEN WITHIN warranty period, I will just purchase a better brand!
Quiet, fast, compact – Our 2.5kw Daikin Lite reverse cycle unit fits snugly into a tight space. It heats and cools the room well. It's quiet setting is very, very quiet for sleeping. The half a degree temperature increments gives accurate temperature selection options. Can't fault it really.

Hi Harry, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! Your feedback is important to us, and we are happy to hear that you are pleased with your Daikin Lite system. Thanks, Daikin
Cold Air conditioner - cheap to run! – We had this air conditioner installed at our house in June 2020. After using it for over 12 months, we have seen a massive reduction in our energy bill due to the efficiencies of this device. Being a 7.1kW system, it has the power to cool our large open-plan living area with ease, whilst remaining relatively quiet. With the 'powerful' function, we find that it is able to reach the desired temperature fast, which is great for a climate like Darwin (tropical), where temperatures and humidity soar. We are very happy with our purchase, and would recommend this air conditioner to anyone wanting great cooling, within a tight budget.
Purchased in at Advanced Air NT for $1,460.

Hi Lance, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are glad to hear that you are happy with your purchase! Thanks, Daikin
Keeps a cool house – Had my 5kw Daikin Inverter Wall mounted split system air conditioner, FTXF50TVMA, installed in my lounge room in my home in December 2019. Runs fairly quietly, cools the room down very well and helps cool the rest of the house as well if left running for a while. Using it over summer most days I found that it didn't make too much of an impact on my power bill which is great. It comes with a 5 year manufacturers warranty which is great for peace of mind should anything go wrong with it. Couldn't live without it now!!
