Well what a piece of rubbish this unit is. It was installed with our brand new home on the Sunshine Coast, came with the build. When switched on it sounds like an aeroplane taking off. We were told by the home builder this is standard with these units...I didn't believe them as why would a supposedly reputable company like Daikin make such rubbish and then actually sell it as a quality product. So we moved in and contacted the installer on day 1. They listened and said that it sounded way too loud, they sent a rep out to review it. It's a stuffed compressor they said; we'll replace it. A month later they turned up to replace the compressor and guess what...it made the same sound...video attached and note that this is not the loudest it gets! The rep said that Daikin keep trying to make the outside units smaller thus everything gets smaller including the compressor that can't handle itself during operation and creates this almighty racket! I would much prefer a bigger unit outside that's silent. Daikin, seriously, why are you producing this c**p? I honestly thought you were a good company but I can guarantee that I will never buy an a/c unit from Daikin again AND I will be advising anybody I speak to who are considering buying one to stay we'll clear of Daikin Air conditioners. If you can fix it then please get in touch.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review - we understand how disappointing and disruptive this experience has been, especially in a new home. This is certainly not the outcome we want for any Daikin customer.

So, we can look into this further, could you please provide your service request number (if one has already been logged) or send us a direct message with your installation address and best contact number? We may need to send out a Daikin technician, and we would recommend getting in touch with our service team.

We appreciate your feedback and will make sure it’s shared with the relevant teams.

Kind Regards, Tiana The Daikin Online Team

Hi there, Thank you for confirming. I have reached out to the Service Team and have asked them to expedite your service request so you can receive a reference number, followed by a phone call for a booking.

They have confirmed they received your request and you will receive a confirmation email today.

I also recommend reiterating the issues you have been experiencing to the coordinators when they call for a booking. This is so they can place any extra notes needed for the technician, and I have asked them to send out an in-house Daikin technician.

Please let me know if you require any further assistance.

Kind Regards, Tiana The Daikin Online Team

Hi Tiana I have had email correspondence with the Daikin nominated service team and they have said there may be a charge if the issue is not under warranty or is not a manufacturing fault. I am not happy about this and mentioned this. Since then I have had no further correspondence, is someone still coming. I should also note that nobody has called me to discuss the issue so have not been able to confirm the issue. Not overly happy with what's happened to date. Is there anything you can do to get this moving again? Thanks AB

Best description "useless steel on the side of a house" – We are living in a home with this unit in WA the board and fans inside this thing packed up just prior to a heat wave. The unit is still inside warranty under 5 years old,no service men wan't to go near them because Daiken pay peanuts to service there units. Not only is there service ---- but they do not stock parts so if your unit breaks down you may have to wait day's possibly weeks for your parts to arrive or for them to even show up .My recommendation is to buy anything but a Daiken, I have never come across such poor service with a complete disregard for its clients as I have with this company, I must say though that I live North of Perth and whoever the franchisee holder is, is a [censored word removed] to this label.

Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere if you do not wish to have the nightmare we've had. This advice was also told to me by the guy servicing the unit. Good luck Daikin I can't see you being around for long! I was told to get a Mitsubishi apparently they do have service and don' cost your clients extra money to have a serviceman look at there problems. Good when it works Service and backup
