  Fair Incentive Zena

We installed the Daikin Inverter Multi Split System with the CTXM25RVMA 2.5kW unit (ZENA) for our two bedrooms, and we love it. It operates very quietly and cools and heats the rooms very quickly. The app is easy to use, allowing us to control the system even when we are not at home. The design is stylish, sleek, and slim. We highly recommend it.

Hi JaM K., Thanks so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you're enjoying your Daikin ZENA system and finding both the performance and app control so convenient. It’s great to know the design and quiet operation are a hit in your home.

We truly appreciate your recommendation—it means a lot to us!

plastic fumes unbearable - unable to use – just had this installed. unit smells strongly of plastic, air coming out the unit (even just in fan mode) fills the house with plastic fumes. made my voice hoarse and croaky and chest tight. spent an hour airing out the house and have had to keep windows/doors open ever since. its been 2 days and unable to use so far. 'sensitive choice' rating seems to mean nothing. I want it out of my house.

- UPDATE - 3 months later and its no better. Still cannot be used, Daikin is saying its nothing to do with them and I have to pay the installer to uninstall and they dont consider it a warranty issue which is ridiculous.

Really wish i'd been able to see a review like this before purchasing - unfortunately this review was hidden so Daikin could 'resolve' the issue which consisted in sending service people up (who witnessed adn confrimed my breathing and voice loss from the product after running it) and then totally ghosting me and my email request for updates for 3 months until i finally got them on the phone today. Terrible experience and i suppose it has to be escalated to the ombudsman/consumer laws at this point.

Perfect – Pros: - Quick start up time, in less than 30 seconds. - Heats the room well, 2.5kw blows harder than my Mitsubishi 3.5kw - looks stylish - very quiet - more reliable than the Daikin Cora, which has ticking noise design flaws Cons: - Wifi app impossible to use, long response time

Some Disappointment – We live in an area of sub-zero winters, so use the unit as a heat pump only. It heats the quite large area required as efficiently and quietly as the previous aged Daikin it replaced. Its compact size and non-mechanical appearance were key factors in our choice of it and it fulfilled these expectations once installed by a very efficient local Daikin dealer. Our eye sights not being what they once were, we looked forward to using the backlit remote control after seeing the bright blue screen shown in advertising. The reality is disappointingly nothing like it. Just two small dots of white light that appear when a key is pressed and do little to illuminate the grey screen. Discussion with Customer Support confirmed that the illustration does not reflect the reality. Living in an area where there are no showrooms with operating units, we were reliant upon web and print. The other advertised feature that drew us to the Zena instead of a floor mounted unit was the vertical airflow touted in the advertising. It is exactly how a heat pump should direct airflow but we were very disappointed to find that it only operates in an automated Comfort mode, the other settings of which are totally unsuitable to our usage. Our contact with Customer Support again confirmed this. We commend the courtesy and effort of the Customer Support agent who, while not familiar with the model, made considerable effort to confirm our findings. In summary, the Zena is better than average, but could be improved by ensuring advertising accurately reflects the reality of the product, and giving customers the ability to customise their settings.

Stylish and feature packed – Looks great and has many features. When not operating everything folds up neatly and it looks stylish and clean. The installation is easy and the quality of the unit looks good.
