I have given 1 star as the sales consultant Neil was good, but if not for him I would give a negative score if it was possible.

If I could give zero star I would we have Black Mould Poisoning because Danmar Homes built units that leaked live a sieve and that’s not all there are 28 faulty workmanship items never remedied. Do not fulfill commitments – I received a house quotation from Danmar. We finalized the design, paid 8K deposit, and signed the contract. Once the contract is signed, they charged me $35K variation - saying the cost has gone up. I ended up going to another builder and lost all my deposit with Danmar. Very Bad after Sales Care – After our tiles started falling off the wall Danmar Has avoided the problem, 510 days since my complaint was made, Danmar has also breached a Building rectification order issued by the Dept of Mines and industry regulation, safety, Danmar have committed 3 times to carry out the works, to only at the last minute want to re schedule. Show details

Great Builder – From the initial design stage right through to the completion of our 4x3 single storey home, it was a positive experience throughout. Our old house (land being used for the new build) was demolished in February 2019 and our new home was handed over Mid October 2019 - it was an amazing accomplishment in such a short period of time. to accomodate our wishes. We also felt during our initial discussions and consultations we were listened to. Jim McMahon was our designer and hats off to Jim he listened and provided us with a concept. Then we changed some bits, he listened again, provided revision 1, we changed some more bits, he listened. and to cut a very long story short Jim patiently listened I have no idea how many times. I think we eventually settled and signed off on revision 10. Thanks for your patience Jim.

The next stage was the planning approval process. Again Danmar’s approach we felt was excellent. They stayed on top of the process, kept us in the loop, discussed with us the minor changes council requested, made them and obtained our final planning approval. And we were all good to commence building!! Roo Hoo!!

I’m sure by this time “these people (us) are the clients from hell” was beginning to get banded around the offices. And so a lady by the name of Nicole drew the short straw as our client liaison officer. We met her for some preliminary discussions in December of 2017 and straightaway Nicole was very forthcoming offering us tips with materials and colour selections. We felt more comfortably armed now to make our material selections ready for our pre start meeting. Hmm!! If you believe Jim had the patience of a saint during the design stage, Nicole deserved a Nobel prize for patience during the construction stage. In all, throughout the construction process, lets just say we made a significant number of changes and many of these were changes to changes, yet Nicole took them all in her stride and accommodated each and everyone. Also, during the construction period we were emailed photos of our build every week without fail. A really nice touch we thought enabling us to make an album of our build.

Our building supervisor was Paul. Paul was the poor soul who not only had to supervise our build but also had to implement the one or two (actually many) changes we made throughout the build. But nothing got left out, everything was included. Our slab went down in late February 2018 and our 2 story 372sqm. home was handed over in early April 2019. That’s pretty amazing!! Yes, during the construction period there were a few challenges but these were dealt with and resolved swiftly through very open channels of communication. The ‘tradies’ were very good, friendly and obliging and it was a joy to watch our home come to life. Whilst building a new home is generally considered one of the more stressful things one might take on in life all in all we’d like to say Danmar Homes de-stressed the process pretty much down to nil. In the current market of building companies going under and stories of poor quality workmanship surfacing we think Danmar Homes did a truely amazing job. The overall quality of the build throughout was extremely good and we felt the price was very good. Without question we would highly recommend Danmar Homes. Communication was clear throughout the build, we dealt mainly with Angela in the office and our site supervisor Paul is a man that knows how to build a well constructed and comfortable house. Issues, when they arose or when a question was asked, were always dealt with in a professional and timely manner. The build was contracted to take 12 months and though it was not a straight forward build, it was delivered in 12 months. We moved in 7 months ago, seeing our first summer, halfway through our first winter and two severe storms later the house has performed brilliantly. The solar passive design and thermal efficiency of the house meant that we didn’t need any air conditioning during summer and so far we have not had any need for heating for winter. After construction service has been efficient. We love our new family home, its a comfortable, well built, energy efficient house that will have decades of family use.

Extremely professional competent builders – Danmar occupy the middle ground of Perth builders in terms of cost. In terms of quality and professionalism they are right up there. months of going around in circles with the various statutory bodies we "sacked them"!

We then spent a month or so interviewing a number of builders, in a quasi tender process. The builders we had identified were ones that had or were building houses in our subdivision. It was during this process we met Bill a designer from Danmar Homes. From our first meeting we clicked, firstly as he listened & secondly he challenged us on what we were trying to achieve. This process took a couple of months, but what Bill was able to produce for us was nothing short of amazing. He worked the design parameters we had deal with hard, to ensure the end product complied. When plans were submitted to planning, whilst there were some small changes that had to be made, we essentially had a clear run. More importantly, whilst we were going through this approval process there was continual communication.

Once we had our various approvals in place, we started the Pre-Start Process with an amazing lady by the name of Angela, who was our client liaison officer through the build to handover. The customer service & communication we were provided was nothing short of exceptional. We would shoot of emails to her late at night & have responses early the following day. There were even instances where we sent emails to her on the weekend & she responded the same day. Pre-start was a very simple process with Danmar, Angela provided some great advice & once again wasn't afraid to question some of our ideas to ensure we were going to be happy at the end.

Once we got on site the communication remained excellent. Angela was a great conduit between us & our supervisor, Paul. The build moved smoothly, & yes their were some hiccups along the way, but they got sorted. The majority of the trades did an excellent job & if we weren't happy or had concerns at any stage Angela & Paul sorted these in a timely manner. Towards the end of the build we were blown away by Paul's concern for the fitout we were getting done. An example of this was when he saw the tiles being laid in our ensuite. There was a mosaic feature, which he felt may not meet our expectations. He made the tiler stop straight away & would not let him start until we were on site to agree that what was going to be done met our expectations. It did & the tiling was started. At handover when we met Paul to run through things he was doing some minor cleaning that had been missed. This was his baby he was handing over!

One of the big things we really appreciated with Danmar was their ability to accommodate us using some of our own trades (air conditioning, security/it). Also we supplied some of our own fittings, that once again was not an issue. It was documented, an email was provided prior to the items were required on site & they were installed to our satisfaction.

As you can tell we are extremely happy with our home having lived in it for 6 months now, but the building experience was all about the people that came on the journey with us from Danmar. Having previously built twice before, the experience we have had with Danmar team has been something we have never had before.

of 5 months on the 1st site absolutely surprised me, although in 2016 they surprised me again on the 2nd site only taking a build time of 4 and half months.

The Danmar Homes team Clearly know and understand the industry, I attribute these short build times to their, internal systems, the on site supervision and the quality trades they used simply started and didn't stop till completion.

After viewing the finished product designed by Danmar Homes for the first time, It left such a great feeling that we had made the right choice in choosing Danmar Homes to develop our investments.

the rest of the building process. I was kept updated and informed of any issues where we made decisions together and with the site manager. It's not easy to take over a build especially when there are issues that need to be remedied. Nothing was too much trouble for the awesome team at Danmar.

They are a family business with a fantastic team from the receptionist to the manager who care about their clients, it's not just about the money, they really want to make sure you are happy with what they do. Any emails or phone calls are returned within an hour or two. I remember waiting two to three weeks to have my emails replied. They really did support me through the most stressful time where my home in the end took nearly three years to complete, that meant paying mortgage and rent and wasted thousands of dollars. The end result was my dream home built with high end finishes and quality through the awesome tradesman employed by Danmar. My site manager was hands on and over-saw everything each day. He was approachable and contactable through my wonderful liaison officer within a few hours.

I was so lucky to have this builder after all the problems prior, I would recommend Danmar due to their care, compassion, commitment, patients, quality and amazing customer care. Thank you Danmar for saving me.

and the house not to look like it is built for a wheelchair. That being said, alot of the logistics were head scratchers to say the least and this was hard to accomplish, but with my persistence and Danmar's knowledge, we got there in the end and we are extatic with the finished product.

[name removed] started us off with a 'don't worry about a thing' attitude and indeed it was. Timing of things were stressful, but the weather didn't help much. If I never hear the words "weather depending" again, I will be a happy lady !!

[name removed] was amazingly accomodating to my bizarre requests, and helped us nut out a few internal design ideas that would still allow the home to look 'normal'.

[name removed] was our supervisor and I dare say he has purposely lost my number since we finished, but he was fantastic in explaining things whilst on site and we had a great working relationship.

I think every build is stressful. I also think that when building your home, it's just that, your home, and all your love and attention is somewhat different to 'the builder's'. Communication is definately the key, and being Greek, I communicate alot!

Danmar Homes' design people were great. We basically new what we wanted but they provided numerous better options throughout the design process.

Our Pre-Start went really well. The options of the inclusions were terrific.

Our home was completed in just over 7 months!!! All the tradespeople were reliable and highly skilled. The whole process was extremeley stress free.

Our Practical Completion Inspection was comprehensive and the few minor things requiring attention were fixed immediately.

I met and dealt with 6 different Danmar Homes staff members and everyone of them was really courteous and helpful.

From what I understand there is no perfect builder. Our experience has been quite good except we had wait a long time for the house to be completed (mainly minor touch ups). Would we use them again?? Maybe - there are other builders that make your life miserable right? Pricing, knowledgable saleman. Time taken during construction. Seems like no one is working on the house everytime we drive pass. I think there are lots of breaks between contactors. Could be more effecient.

Terrible – if i had my time again, i would have built the home myself - given the trades used thus far and the time taken, i am sure i would have exceeded the work done to date. hard to get any pros apart from the pre award stage. Great Value for Money – I'm currently on my second build with Danmar and really happy with the results on both developments, there have been some minor delays but I think they were mainly due to council & the trades people. We knew that in building a new home we would be met with challenges and issues along the way but these were always rectified in a timely manner by their office staff. I would make a special mention for their receptionist who always greeted our calls in a friendly, personal manner.

Being a family company we were able to contact the owners and discuss any issues with them and by them making themselves available to us always made us feel reassured that any issues were being dealt with care and understanding, something that isnt usually available with bigger builders.

We are extremely happy with our new home and would be more than happy to refer Danmar to family, clients, friends - in fact we have referred one client to them already. Great value for money
