Nougat easter egg. Completely different. So disappointed. Thin chocolate and not a good flavour. Nougat didn't taste the same and nit enough coconut. You can't beat the original!! If it's not broken don't fix it .

Follow-up  · Texture was different not as fluffy and not the same taste. Chocolate not as thick. Looked fine. Bought Coles upper Coomera

Hello I was looking forward to my nouget Easter egg today but was really disappointed to find there was no yolk as has always been the case for the many years I have been eating them. An egg needs a yolk and Darell Lea nouget eggs have always had a yellow yolk since I had my first one at the age of 10. Please add the yolk back next year as it is part of your Easter egg history. Thank you Katie Caban Show details

Really disappointed to open a once loved favorite (Licorice Allsorts) to find small, misshaped and tasteless cubes (semi cubes of mismatched layers) that looked so poorly made and were devoid of the wonderful flavors that they were once known for. Show details

I purchased a 'Christmas pudding' expecting it to be what is represented on the box. The box gave the illusion that it contained a round pudding. Well on opening it, I was presented with this pathetic half round excuse for what was on the box. Blatantly false advertising and deception. If this the best you can offer, then give the game away. Show details

What a huge disappointment, Batch 37 super soft liquorice, what an absolute liberty, it's barely soft let alone super soft. Very glossy and doesn't taste as amazing as it was, shrinkflation of the pack size in addition to add insult to injury. Will not be purchasing this or anything from this previously great brand. The people that purchased it in… Read more

liquidation should have just let it close instead of this slow death. Losing a lot of long term customers that grew up with Darrell Lea through the 70s and 80s

LIQUORICE SWEET – I have just found out that eating liquorice on a daily basis can cause serious heart irregularities including heart attack and all liquorice should be taken off the shelves. I have arythmia and liquorice us causing palpitations. Please investigate for yourselves and see the truth. Thank you

Follow-up  · I ate Darell Lea soft liquorice logs..2 bags in one day and It raised my blood pressure and gave me bad heart palpitations which I've never had and I knew that something was triggering this off. I ceased eating liquorice since my first review. Readers please talk to your Doctor or Google it. It may be the additives. Everything in moderation.

dissapointing – Raspberry bullets are no good. Why can you only get darryl lea Raspberry bullets in coles or woolworths? I miss capricorn/betta Raspberry bullets. Will never by again . Show details

Follow-up  · In follow-up, darryl-lea bullets continue to be far from what a raspberry bullet should be, they are mushy when they should be chewy. Theyre way too big, you cant fit them in your mouth without biting in half. Because of the size(which i assume is to save money by using more cheap sugar based mush, rather than chocolate) the ratio is completely off, there isnt enough chocolate.

My husband and I can’t walk past their range of bullets, all-sorts and mint/orange balls without buying a packet or two. The flavours (liquorice, mint, orange) are flavoursome, the chocolate melts in your mouth, and they satisfy the urge perfectly. Love them!!

Bring back the walnut log! No other chocolate comes close to the sophisticated flavour and texture of the walnut log – Walnut Log! There has never in the history of human kind been a better chocolate. The walnut log was a family treat my father would bring home every Friday. We would divide it into 4 even portions. What a delight. That was in the 60s & early 70s. That same treat became a life long delicacy for me and then for my children too… until it disappeared … Show details

Why shop anywhere else!!! – Darrell Lea stands out as the best chocolate due to its unforgettable flavor and delightful texture. Whether it’s their Nutty Milk Chocolate, soft Australian licorice strawberry, or the Black Forest chocolate bar, Darrell Lea consistently delivers a delightful taste experience. Plus, their commitment to avoiding palm oil sets them apart. While opinions may vary, Darrell Lea’s chocolates remain a beloved treat for many. Show details

Just purchased the the rocky road speckled egg as it has been so good in the past couple of years. Really disappointed as it has now been loaded with peanuts, has very few speckled eggs and the chocolate is average and not creamy at all. I have noticed that Darrell Lea is adding cheap peanuts to nearly all their chocolate now, probably for the… Read more

So i have been buying these products for a long time now and I went and bought some milk choc licorice twists after getting home i opened them and they were absolutely horrible. haven't changed the recipe. They offer no exchange and for $6 a pack i will never purchase these again . This is what happens when a company trades on the previous owners reputation. This company has cut corners on every part of the quality.

Their licorice allsorts are just vile now, so disappointing, small out of shape and taste terrible. I am old enough to remember the original Darrel Lea shops with the delicious chocolate & licorice. The products now taste like supermarket generic products. Also white chocolate raspberry bullets are now as tough and hard as the real thing. So sad Show details

My first experience with chocolate strawberry. Awfully sweet and zero strawberry taste. Really bad product compared to other chocolates brands. I bought only because was on special. Normally I wouldn't buy darrel lea products because of ugly packaging, wrapping. Show details

Changed your batch 37 liquorice flavour yet again, not doing yourself any favours, won’t be on my list to purchase any longer. Certainly NOT the flavour that made it so popular

Easter chocolates this year were awful. Even the moulds were of poor quality. The company is done for, may as well stop ruining the cocoa its getting its hands on.

Rockalee Road with speckled eggs for Easter. Four whole tiny speckled eggs is pretty poor effort. Also the 250g is fine but the packaging is 3 inches higher and an inch wider than the actual bar of chocolate (as the other boxes bars are from memory) so it’s even harder to justify the cost these days. Show details

Bullets gone bad !!! – This is a genuine question, to this once fine company! I have always loved your dark chocolate bullets - until recently after talking to a sales representative was informed recipe has been changed . Now the bullets even when half price aren’t worth purchasing. The liquorice has no flavour at all. ?????????

Tasteless Xmas licorice – Product tasted, red & green Xmas licorice. Don't buy it. Has anyone at the factory flavour tested this product? Honestly, it's like eating chewy, tasteless coloured flour with a terrible after taste. A fail.

Shrunk Licorice Allsorts !! Still full Price if not more!! – I haven’t bought Darrel Lea Licorce Allsorts for awhile even though they are my favourite. I bought a packet the other day and to my dismay they were if you lucky half the size they use to be! Talk about shrinkage inflation! Check them out no embellished story here! I won’t be purchasing them anymore unless they are regularly half price! Tom Milosevic

Caramel Cheesecake more like chemical cheesecake – Darell Lea caramel cheesecake shop chocolate tastes like candles! Smells like chemicals and scented candles. My child said it smells like something the smelt at dusk today. How does this make it past testing, or do they just hope suckers will buy a block to try. Show details

So disappointed… – I was a HUGE fan of the Caramel Snows. I hadn’t been able to find them in-store for a while and contacted Darrell Lea to find out where I could purchase them. BigW store. Today (6th September 2024) I came across some in our local BigW store. I was so excited and bought two ($10.50 each).

Imagine my disappointment to find the original Darrell Lea recipe has been adjusted. The layer of chocolate on the bottom is now EXTREMELY thin, significantly changing the taste of my once favourite treat.

The new owners of Darrell Lea have ruined a great recipe and I won’t be buying these again.

Darrell Lee no more – Bought Darrell Lee for Father’s Day. Extremely poor taste. What the hell happened? Chocolate recipe clearly has been changed and not for the better. Chocolate ginger my favourite, not any more. Obviously cutting costs and this reflects in the product quality. Bye Darrell Lee you were good once. Show details
