didn’t want the dash cam , she wanted her old dash cam, so I emailed them for a return refund a couple weeks after purchase and no response from Dash Cams Australia, this was my first purchase from them but there was a miscommunication and they sorted out the problem once they were aware of this issue
Excellent customer service – My dashcam battery, the Ceolink NEO, stopped working. I contacted them but forgot to send it back for warranty. By the time I remembered, the warranty had expired. internal battery dies after a few years causing the problems I was getting. I sent pictures of my old Kings unit to make sure the connections were the same. They happily checked their camera was the same so that I don't have to rewire the connections into my cars electrical system I ordered and paid for a new unit and they even set up the date and time etc before posting it out. What a shame other companies are not as helpful when you make an enquiry.

without me needing to ask Lawrence from DCA contacted FineVu Australia and they agreed to replace it free of charge with a FineVu GX300 even though it was out of the warranty period. Fantastic customer service from both DCQ, particularly Lawrence, and also from FineVu Australia. Keep up the good work.

another car rear ended my car and drove off. As I suspected, no footage was recorded by my dashcam. If only Dash Cams Australia was more responsible I would have captured the footage and provided my insurer with the video evidence.
Shipping was very fast though.
Doesn't follow Australian Consumer Law – I bought a dashcam and polarizing filter from them and the filter fell out of the housing and I can't find it, clearly a manufacturing fault. Asked for a warranty claim and they told me that I have to deal with the manufacturer as they are "just a reseller" which is in clear contravention of Australian Consumer Law. I felt like a real pest asking for a Refund, but Nicholas made me feel like a Valued Customer and offered Customer Service of such a High Level it was just so refreshing!! Dash Cams Australia don't understand what Australian Consumer Laws cover – Purchased a DOD LS500W dual channel camera at a cost of $400 plus. 14 months after buying it the internal battery died. Expectation is that a camera of this nature should be good for a number of years at least. being sent back to the manufacturer in Taiwan and likely to take three weeks. The battery is hardwired and not readily replaced by a user like many other electronic devices. Replacement batteries are not stocked by DCA, they couldn't even tell me the model number so I could buy one and have it replaced. Lodged a complaint with Consumer Protection who approached DOD Australia direct rather than DCA. DOD Australia sent a new replacement camera the next day. They accepeted that the camera was faulty in that the battery should not have failed so soon. Great product and 5 stars to DOD Australia for their response, as for Dash Cams Australia 0 stars. Next time I need a camera I'll be looking elsewhere to shop.

Sold a broken product and refused to refund – Dashcams Australia (a retailer) sold me a faulty Blackvue Coax cable and refused to give me a refund after 7 days (policy-related). When i first purchased my first pair of Blackvue dashcams from Dashcams Australia, all my telephone and email queries went unanswered. After leaving a Google review, their attempt at communication improved with a copied and pasted generic reply claiming "unfairly reviewed", "Australian Consumer Law" and "google trusted store".
Given the situation of having been sold a faulty coax cable and then refused a refund, that is nowhere close to adhering to Australia Consumer Law. It's also irrelevant to me that their company is a "google trusted store"--i paid for a faulty coax cable--as the original distributor then had to give me a new working cable to fix the problem. The claim of "unfairly reviewed" applies only if i'd want them to give me a refund on a working product past a certain time-frame; it's never "unfair" to be left with a bad review after selling a broken product.

Never ever buy from this company – I bought a front and rear DOD dash cam. It has never worked properly. It freezes, sometimes it is just a black screen, the rear camera doesn’t record, it sometimes won’t turn off or on. while, but now it’s doing the same thing again. The screen also has a blue tinge to it. I contacted [name removed] again requesting a replacement unit only to be told that it is out of warranty and that I have to pay now to have it fixed even though it is a pre-existing problem that was never dealt with. When I replied that they never fixed the problem in the first place and it shouldn’t be up to me to pay for it, he just replied with the same excuse OR they will give me a 15% discount on another unit!! In other words, they have taken my money and sold me a lemon unit, they now don’t care and only want more money out of me. I bought the cam after I was attacked through a road rage incident to make myself feel safer in the car and now I feel I have been mentally bashed by this company. They don’t stand behind the products they sell, and don’t care about the customers that have problems with the cams they have purchased. Once it leaves their store, they don’t want to know any problem with them. Don’t buy from them, you will regret it.
Hard to contact – I have sent my DoD unit for repair many weeks ago. I have paid for the repair. When I call, all I get is a recorded message. They don't respond to my emails.
Great Service from Dashcams Australia – This is my third time buying cams from this company. The original cameras that I bought 6 yrs ago are still working fine! I just upgraded to the Vicovation Opia 2, as it is a much higher resolution camera. Bought online on Sunday, delivered Tuesday. Camera lives up to its hype, returning crystal clear video. post investigation they sent a replacement promptly of their own accord and will now have to wait themselves excellent business acumen.They sent me many follow up emails keeping me in the loop as I did them about the communication with the carrier .Their whole web page ,invoicing and notification system is excellent can not thank them enough as is the range and quality of their stock a pleasure to deal with
No accessories – Purchased a Transcend Drive Pro 520 Dash Cam about four months ago.Was initially impressed with their service but when it comes to after sales , forget it.Trying to source a replacement windscreen mount and they don't sell them.They are instead pushing customers onto eBay to buy Transcend accessories which don't exist anyway.They sell the cameras and no accessories.Anything on eBay is cheap after market rubbish and not the genuine part anyway.

Don’t waste your time with this company. They sell rubbish cams with support to match! – Thought I would support an Australian reseller by purchasing what sounded like a good dash cam. First one broke first week, returned it and now the second one has been faulty despite perseverance. randomly stopping have tried all the fixes recommended. Tossed the thing in the bin as it was constant trouble. Not worth the high price I paid.
Dishonest warranty support – I have 2x faulty Sandisk MicroSD cards which were purchased from this company. Sandisk MicroSD cards come with a 10 year warranty, yet Dash Cams Australia refuse to honor it. Tried to claim that they cannot process my warranty claim, as this is a wear and tear issue (without even having a look at my cards)
- Claimed that my dashcams are not compatible with my memory cards (which I proved otherwise, despite the fact that they sold me these cards together with these dashcams anyway with the intent of getting me to use these components together)
- Told me that my memory cards are 16 months outside of warranty (which I proved otherwise)
- Told me that the 10 year warranty on my memory cards are void because I used then with my dash cams, and then produced me with a document from SanDisk at https://www.sandisk.com.au/about/legal/warranty/warranty-apac trying to prove their point (which I proved otherwise when I redirected the to the paragraph in this same document stating that these terms and conditions cannot override Australian Law).
I have raised this matter with the ACCC already. They have already investigated this matter, but informed me that if Dash Cams Australia will not abide by Australian consumer law, then it would be in my best interests to either get my bank to reverse the transaction, or for me to take Dash Cams Australia to court.
My bank notified me recently that they cannot reverse the transaction as it is too old, and I probably wont be able to take Dash Cams Australia to court as the baliff will probably cost just as much as my refund on these cards.
I am still assessing my legal options, and will be boycotting Dash Cams Australia for the rest of my life. In the meantime however, they can take this one-star review of mine and choke on it.
*** UPDATE! ***
Logged these faulty MicroSD cards with Sandisk directly. Told them "everything" (that I purchased these cards from dash cams australia, that I used these in my vicovation dashcams, etc), performed the troubleshooting steps that they have provided me, and received an RMA for these cards with absolutely no dramas! I sent these cards back to Sandisk a little while ago, and received an email from Sandisk recently confirming that they are sending me a replacement set of MicroSD cards. I should receive them before Christmas :)
So to reconfirm:
- Dash Cams Australia sold me a set of memory cards that later turned out to be faulty
- Dash Cams Australia originally tried to tell me that I didnt purchase these cards from them (which I proved otherwise when I provided a copy of our past email correspondence)
- Dash Cams Australia tried to claim that the fault with my cards was originally due to a "wear and tear" issue (without even having a look at them)
- Dash Cams Australia tried to claim that these microsd cards were not compatible with my vicovation cameras (despite the fact that these cards and cameras were sold together, and that it says otherwise on the manufacturers website, and that I have been using these cameras and memory cards together for years)
- Dash Cams Australia tried to claim that these microsd cards were 16 months outside of warranty (despite the fact that they have a 10 year warranty)
- Dash Cams Australia tried to prove that my warranty is void because I used these cards with my dash cams by presenting me with this document: https://www.sandisk.com.au/about/legal/warranty/warranty-apac (despite the fact that there is a section in this docment "beginning with bold text" which states that "SanDisk's products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.").
- I logged these faulty cards with Sandisk myself, and am currently approved for a set of replacement cards
- Dash Cams Australia will now be stuck with this negative review for a very long time, for attempting to void my legal rights as a consumer who tried to make a claim on a faulty product which they sold.
Dash Cams Australia, I hope it was worth it. You just lost yourself a customer.

fi and driving home, reviewing footage on the lap top it was super sharp and clear and of high quality including sound. Had times dates speed, also heard my breakfast order at sub way. So far really happy with the dash cam and looking forward to taking it off road. Now to install the other one on my partners car. I have already suggested my parents in-laws to buy for their F250 4x4 and 5thWheeler set up for touring and their other car for general Road use.
Works good – Until recently i have noticed that the dash cam will not work on the battery only when it is connected to power which is no goog when car is off seems to be a common problem with them shame i never noticed this before the return policy ran out
