turned out to be too tight when worn for more than five minutes), I was immediately told they could not be exchanged because the tags had been removed. All they would offer me was a buyback of between 5% and 45% of the value, not an exchange. As the choice was to throw the items in the bin, I accepted the offer, but wqs then horrified when the shop assistant voted herself 5 out of 5 on the satisfaction survey that I was supposed tyo be given to fill out. In my opinion, Decathlon does not stand behind the impression they give of wanting satisfied customers, and I was appalled at the dismissive way I was treated.
Do not ever buy online from Decathlon Australia if the item is then to be managed by a third party, in this case Pertemba in the UK. Apart from the speed with which they took funds against my credit card, this has been a disaster from the start. 'Customer Service Team' in the UK to the effect that there is a high volume of deliveries in my area though they cannot actually tell me who is doing the 'delivery': sometimes it is a courier company and sometimes it is the 'local postal service'. It is also apparently not possible to track the item now that it is 'allegedly' in Australia. The Decathlon 'support team' which is reached through a Sydney number provides no support except to send an email to the third party retailer in the UK. Round and round in circles and getting nowhere. For transparency, I have also posted this review on another well-known review site, such is my level of frustration.

months for them to approve the return, well beyond what should’ve been necessary.
I moved apartments and gave them over two weeks’ notice to arrange pickup before my move-out date. They ignored this, scheduled pickup after I’d left, and repeatedly sent couriers to the wrong address, even after I informed them multiple times. The item was finally picked up on 30 April.
On 1 May, I was told the refund would take 2–3 working days. It’s now 5 June and I still haven’t received it. I’ve followed up three times with no response. I had to call Decathlon, who promised to escalate it.
It’s been nearly five months since I placed the order, and I’m still out of pocket. I would caution anyone buying this bike,if there’s a problem, you’ll struggle to get it resolved.

Old helmet – I ordered two helmets, one in size M and one in size L, for me and my wife. The helmets are great and very comfortable. However, we are irritated about the fact that one of the helmet has intensively bleached straps. The dark orange turned into pale yellow. I suspect that the helmet was stored in direct sunlight. splatters that I can only explain by leaching fluids. The sticker insight shows that the helmet was produced in 2019 and is older compared to the helmet without discolouration manufactured in 2022.
I am not worried about the aesthetic aspect, but it's safety. Considering that helmets are one of the most essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and UV lights is one of the biggest threats to climbing textiles, I am concerned about how Decathlon's climbing gear is stored.

Pushbike repairs – Great service today. My Pushbike needed some repairs-done on the spot by an amazing young lady, also the other staff lever helped me in the store with my bike. Fixed on the spot-as was minor problem with the brakes & fitted a bike stand for me in 2mins flat. Great staff-great service & I love my Pushbike o got from there also.

Horrible refund policy for faulty products – I bought a kayak that gets deformed when inflated. Paid 500$ for it. qualified to state if a faulty product is safe? are they trained to be able to say that? if something happens, is Decathlon responsible for it? I was offered a new one, which I did not want to do because I don't trust this store anymore. It is absurd that I am forced to spend my money with a store that gave me a crap product. And just now, a $25 head torch, sitting behind a $25 sign came up as $40 at checkout. Excellent after sales help – I purchased Decathlon NABAIJI Men's Swimming Boxers - 500 Yoko in size M for my son, although his measurements compared to the size chart should have been a good fit, they were way too small.
