Love it! Great value for money! – I have this coffee machine for a year now and it has been my fave appliances so far, and I have quite a fair bit of them! For the price, it has well exceeded my expectation. I love how tiny and compact it is, it's perfect for my smallish bench. I love red so it sits well with all my red-themed kitchen. I was generally looking for the $600… Read more · 1
Breville Barista but the colour and sleek lookig design caught my attention. Now, for the coffee quality. It's great! I had to play around with it a bit at the start, but once I got the hang of it it's perfect. The steam wands produces silky frothed milk, perfect for my fave cappuccinos. I had a lot of people coming over so I do use this machine pretty often, and everyone has complimented on how great the coffee is and how pretty it looks! Not one complaint so far. I used to work as a Barista in the past so I know how to make coffees, that night have helped too, but it's so easy to operate that in sure no one would have any troubles loving this superb machine :)
Great espresso, not great cappuccino/flat white – This compact machine makes great espresso but is a terrible milky coffee because the frothing device does not heat milk to the appropriate temperature or produce sufficient steam to make the milk frothy, and also turns off after several seconds of use requiring the machine to restart. Espresso is very good though for a small home unit. Show details
Great service – Im very happy with my new coffee machine, i was lucky and picked it up on a sell out, this makes a perfect coffee every time with not too much effort. My old machine was a bit tired so my new 1 is awesome and nice and small compared to my old 1 which was twice the size, on a whole im stoked. Show details
Milk too bubbly – Makes a perfect espresso shot. Easy to clean and automatically measures the shot. But Froths the milk worse than a bubble bath. Delonghi really needs to change the design of the milk frother as Unable to achieve silky milk. Use my Sunbeam to achieve frothy milk the same as in a coffee cafe. Show details
This is awful – This is awful, my machine blew up the first time I used it. I turned it on and it made a horrible pop sound and smelt like burnt wire. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone ever, this is the worst product I have ever used in my life, I'm disgusted. Show details
Love this machinever – I have been very happy with this coffee machine. Produces a nicer espresso than my $2000 automatic machine and much easier to clean. I haven't found the milk frother/warmer very good but perhaps I just haven't mastered the technique yet. I would definitely recommend this machine. No negatives found yet. Show details
Great little unit – Great option for those who only make 1-2 at a time. Good option for the ese pods or ground beans. Heats up quickly, froths really good; too much actually. As stated by some, if you remove the cylinder cap from frother, it doesn't froth up as much which is good for me. Heats milk quickly for a small pump. The wand is a bit awkward with being small,… Read more · 1
so having a large stainless jug will not work. I've used this at least 3 times a week for 3 months and have not had any issues at all. Bought at Harvey for $329, price matched Bing Lee. Harvey had the ese coffee pods which Bings didn't. I haven't bought beans or a grinder yet, so haven't used that aspect of machine.
Love it ... Now! – I had a little manual Sunbeam coffee machine for many years but decided to go for a change when it finally died (kids bought it for me for Christmas)! It took me a little time to come to terms with the way it works but am now extremely happy with it - after reading reviews and suggestions. A small jug for frothing the milk is definitely the way to… Read more
go and the wand should sit almost on the bottom of the jug - it gives you silky hot milk in a very short time - great for those babycinos!
I have purchased the coffee capsules but have used just a few as usually grind my own coffee.
Mugs and keep cups can be used with this machine - simply remove the drip tray and they fit perfectly under the coffee filter holder.
So far, I am really happy with my choice. Love it!
So far so good – Easy to use, great little compact machine doesn't take up too much space. Coffee tastes good, milk texture is better with the nozzle attachment off. Option of ground coffee or pods (which are actually more like mesh coffee bags, made by delonghi, it doesn't take normal plastic pods). Haven't had it long but happy so far. Show details
Perfect for the home or small office – I'm a bit of a coffee snob so I have to say, I'm completely floored that this little machine makes such a great coffee for the price. I don't use the pods as I prefer to brew my own but the fact that it does both is a fantastic option. I love the compactness of the machine. It also looks great on the bench. I would absolutely recommend this… Read more
machine to anybody. One tip: remove the steam wand for a better milk result. Otherwise it's very frothy. Not that that's a bad thing.
Lovely machine but orange light keeps on blinking after 3xdescaling within a night – This is the second time I need to descale the machine. First time it was ok. It went through the process once and the orange light went off. The second time I have descaled the machine tonight 4 times tonight the orange light is still on. I am using delonghi descaling solution. I don't know how to fix this problem. I only bought the machine 4… Read more
months ago. Before this problem it was a great machine producing yummy coffee and good fun to make coffee with.
Not worth it for us – We bought this machine to replace our Sunbeam coffee crema. The Sunbeam model was an entry level price to the coffee market. When it broke after 2 years we upgraded to the Delonghi. It really wasn't worth it. The product looks tacky and functional pieces are flimsy. Its like a toy. Standard sized coffee cups do not fit underneath the spout. The… Read more
tamp and handle that you put coffee into are of much lower quality than the Sunbeam.
It is difficult to get the handle secured correctly.
I would not recommend this product at all.
It is also very difficult to buy the pods.
