11.5 years use! – I bought this as a refurbished model 11.5 years ago. I had it serviced once early on under warranty because it kept saying "insert infuser assembly" when it was already inserted. That error came back a few times over the years, but always resolved itself. Over the past year or so, it's been taking ages to move on from "heating..." but gets very… Read more
very hot; I assume the thermostat is gone. It has also been leaking a little water onto the bench under it. Finelly, over the past couple of months, steam comes out from all over the place when it turns on and brews a coffee. Sadly, it's time to put her to rest. Despite the few issues over the years, it's satisfied my caffeine craving the vast majority of the time. With over a decade of use, I can't rate it any lower than 5 stars. Hopefully my new Eletta lasts as long.
Great home coffee machine! – I bought my machine on Ebay as an ex-demo model about 6 years ago and it hasn't missed a beat! Makes fantastic cappuccinos and lattes; over the years I have managed to perfect a barista style coffee. The only drawback is that compared to a commercial machine, it is very slow, but hey, its for home use and I love it!
OK – If you want the true Barista experience and dream of producing Latte art then this isn't the machine for you. On the other hand if you want to make an average cappuccino easily and aren't interested in learning how to make a great cup of coffee then it will do the job. The machine I used is a work machine, compared to my own Breville BES860 at… Read more
home; I must say I was disappointed, especially considering the price.
If you entertain a lot and want to give all your guests a great coffee then forget it, the turn around time between cups will have them nodding off before they get their caffeine hit. Or if you like getting up early in the morning before the rest of the family so that you can enjoy your coffee in peace, again forget it, the noise it makes will have them jumping out of bed looking for the fire! I can't say that I would recommend it for the price. Easy to use, easy to clean (just empty the coffee pucks when the basket is full). Quick to produce steam. Water tank is accessible from the front which makes it easy to access under low cabinets. Adjustable coffee spout helps prevent splattering in short cups or shot glasses. Expensive. Noisy, sounds like an alarm going off until it heats up. After making steam you have to wait 5 to 10 minutes until the water cools down enough to pull another shot, most other machines I have tried purge the hot water to get it back to brewing temperature. Can only make a single cup when using pre ground coffee. Milk frother produces too much head and user has little control over it.
Excellent - long lasting – Had ours for almost 6 years (Xmas) & it gets used very often, sometimes up to 6-8 times a day. Tells you when to descale, makes great coffee. easy to use - in general just what you need to make a good cuppa. Unfortunately, it left us this morning. A small piece broke off but hey, it got a 6 years of great service & coffee. Going to get the same again! Make good coffee, easy to use Bit noisy but you get used to it.
Good, easy machine – Its a machine, not a barista. It makes good coffee without fuss if you use good beans. There are enough settings to fine-tune for most sensitivities. Simple, easy, reliable Water stank is relatively small
So easy to use – I have had this machine for almost 2year's now and it's the best thing made. I use it every morning with easy, as I'm half asleep. One button that's all it is to operate. reliable, easy, fast
Excellent – It makes fantastic coffees, it's very easy to use. Quick to clean, fill and make multiple cups. It makes creamy froth and freshly ground good tasting coffee. I like being able to swing the milk frother around and prop the milk jug on the chocolate shaker, even though it only takes a minute or so to heat and froth. Show reply
