terrible machine and service – after 10 month of complaints to delonghi about my coffee machine and numerous trip to repairer , nothing is getting done and we're going in circle . they keep telling me machine is working good when i cannot get a decent cup of coffee from it . once they have got your money they do not care about customer service and you are left on your own . have asked for my money back but NO was their reply . please avoid at all cost this company products Show details
2 years light use and now issues – Purchased 4th Feb 2020, used it to make one cup of cappuccino each morning, This morning 17th Jan 2022 it made a loud grating noise when making the cappuccino then told me to fill the beans container, except it was already full? Cleaned the machine as per the manual, still faulty. Tried to contact Good Guys Hectorville SA, too busy to look… Read more
after phone customers, phoned Delonghi and they were also too busy to take calls. Used the Delonghi web site to find a repairer, entered my postcode and it indicated no repairers in Adelaide? Submitted an online form to Delonghi, this will take a while as we are busy I'm instructed Grrrrr. Gunna have to personally return it to the retailers tomorrow and how long to get it repaired, anyone's guess given the service or lack of to date. My next coffee machine will NOT be a delonghi.
Best value automatic coffee machine on the market – This is my second Delonghi coffee maker, the first being the Magnifica which I used to make 6 cups a day for 4 years without any faults. I decided to go fully automatic with a quality automatic milk-frother and after weeks of research I decided on this model (in the black version). It is extremely versatile, allowing you to set the water… Read more · 1
temperature, the quantity of coffee brewed, the quantity of water and the quantity of milk or foam. All this can be set into the machine and with one press of the "Cappuccino" button it will deliver a perfectly brewed coffee with rich dense foam every time you use it. The service provided by Suzy Harper, the Delonghi rep was excellent, with a known issue with milk-only frothing solved. I highly recommend this machine as a great coffee maker at a very reasonable price.
Very expensive that unit had critical features removed, like frothing milk only and using ground coffee for caps – expensive machine that seems to have had critical features removed, like frothing milk only let alone doing a hot chocolate and using ground coffee for capachinos, wastes so much milk coffee as any error(water, beans milk etc) you have to restart no option to continue. You don't find this out till much later after returning it not a option.… Read more
Interesting the manual shows these features in a previous firmware. So you expect these based on reviews but find out later you have a so "called update" unit.

5,285 coffees and still going – I’ve had my machines for about 4 years now and it’s still going strong. Coffees are hot enough (there’s adjustments for that) and coffee is the same every time (with same beans of course!). At first, there were some challenges getting the right strength so a little trial and error with the grounds size adjustment was required. However, once the… Read more · 3
right ground size was achieved, it’s been great. Minor quibbles match other reviews: steel plate for the cups scratches very easily; menu is a touch counter-intuitive (the dial on mine is also a tad sensitive & skips items so I have to go back & forth to get the item I want); Venturi system for milk frother occasionally has bouts of what’s best described as gurgling where the flow is irregular; water tank capacity is on the small size (however, acceptable compromise to keep machine compact); the milk container plastic material is not quite resistant to milk clinging in corners, so has to be very thoroughly cleaned at least weekly along with the Venturi tube (failure to keep both clean results in premature milk spoilage); the “empty grounds container” and “fill tank” alert beep is a bit screechy (a nicer chime would serve the same purpose) . However, despite the list of minor niggles, the overall value of the machine and how long it’s lasted is a testament to decent build quality. I’ve seen the “same” model still for sale, but based on the loss of the milk-only option, it appears it’s had a minor refresh. I’d consider another similar unit when (if) this unit finally gives up. At 5,285 coffees, it’s more than paid for itself.
No Milk Only Function – If you just want cappuccino this is a decent machine. There is a dedicated “one touch” cappuccino button, if you want anything else it’s probably not for you. My son constantly demands babychinos and one of the main reasons for buying and automatic coffee machine is to encourage him to drink milk. The option for hot/frothed milk has been removed… Read more
from the machine. The menu is also very strange/counter-intuitive: A combination of dial turns and button pushes required to get different coffees... a complicated interface defeats the purpose of having a fully automatic machine.
The Good Guys website says: “ Patented Automatic Cappuccino System For Cappuccino, Flat White, Latte and Hot Milk”. Hot Milk isn’t an option on the machine. I will try to take it back and exchange for a different model.

disappointed – To read that people use this machine everyday and have 70 to 80 cups a week made my blood boil I make a about 20 a week I have had this coffee maker for just over 2 years wouldn't you guess malfunctioned just out of warranty after descaling This machine has never been abused, and has been washed correctly, descaled when told to etc etc etc,.so… Read more
it's cost me about $1200 for 2 years I had to replace the boiler and pump so i reckon it's cost me about a dollar a cup not counting coffee etc. NOT HAPPY JAN John
Coffee Machine Par Excellence – This is the first Automatic coffee machine we have purchased and it's performance in making espresso and cappuccino coffee is outstanding. The whole process is completely automatic including cappuccino coffee even down to adding that "extra shot". The quality of the coffee is on a par of that produced by coffee made by a good barista and is always… Read more
consistent. As my wife prefers her coffee very hot we have found that a 10 second blast in the microwave is needed to satisfy her taste.
It's great! – This machine is so easy to use and maintain, and makes great coffee! The ONLY thing I can say bad about it is that the chrome plated tray the cups rest on for the coffee pour scratches VERY easily. Even just inserting and removing the plastic milk container scratches it. This detracts from the appearance of the machine when it's been in use for a while.
Factory Refurbished = not refurbished at all! – From day 1: 1) Extra large and large coffee setting only just under half filled standard cup 2) Major large scratches on stainless steel tray - I was advised seconds/refurbs MAY have small marks or scratches, not huge ones! 3) Coffee strength inconsistent. From day 12: 4) Now can't easily select type of cup (large/my coffee/small etc), as it… Read more
keeps rotating through options every 1/2 a second and comes up with Descale as an option! Have to hope for the best, ends in tears more often that not
I contacted DeLonghi about issue 1-3 the day after I received it, 13 days later, still no response.
Inferior product, clearly not refurbished at all, just repacked and flogged off to a sucker like me and I have now taken the matter to consumer affairs.
Avoid this company like the plague!!!
DeLonghi = DeCrappy!
Better than a barista – Day in, day out, this machine works like clockwork, churning out about 4-6 espresso's per day. Being able to customise amount of water (length) and amount of coffee beans (strength) is very handy, especially when serving guests. Kids even love doing their own frothy milks. Left-over milk can stay in the canister in the fridge for days. … Read more
Excellent when hosting friends/family to quickly knock out multiple coffees and frothed milked in quick time.
Maintenance is simple and painless.
Love it.
LOVE – Bought this machine when we bought our first home 7 years ago, still makes at least 10 cups of coffee a day to perfection. Nice hot coffees set to our water level. So easy to use and clean. Hate using Pods so this machine with the real beans delivers the real deal! Show details

CAPPACINO PERFECTION – Our DeLonghi Silver Compact has been nothing short of sensational. We use it twice daily religiously. The speed of the machine after heating is amazing. The consistency of each cup never ceases to surprise our guests. I have now bwwn named the Booker Bay Barista because of the quality of the coffee from this machine. Show details
Fantastic Coffee Machine – Really happy with DeLonghi it's great value for money as we spend less getting coffee when we can have it at home and it's easy to use because it's full automated. This our 2nd DeLonghi coffee machine and wouldn't get any other brand. It makes a perfect cappuccino with just the press of one button. Costs a bit, but worth it, save a lot of money in the long run. Show details
A nessecity in my home!!! – Love this coffee machine, it gets an absolute thrashing and has never missed a beat. Extremely easy to use. Cleaning and de scaling is a breeze. Love that it uses actual beans instead of pods. The milk frothed is an added bonus so you can just push the button and away it goes Show details
One of the best presents I have received. Something I use daily – It took me a little while to adjust the coffee machine to a taste to my liking. Now that I have done this I hardly ever buy store bought coffee and get disappointed sometimes when I do. It's super easy to use. Keeping my machine clean is relatively easy and even easier by putting a small cup under the drain once I've finished using it and rince… Read more
the milk froth component and general rincing of the machine once turned off. I also use a cup for my milk instead of the compartment it comes with to suck the milk through and this makes it even easier to clean. Milk is alway fresh this way too.
Piece of crap – Horrible product bought the machine brand new worked fantasic for about 5 months, first went the frother which stopped working, then about 2 months later "insert infuser assembly appeared despite the infuser being inside, to the point it wouldn't work at all, took it in for a service which lasted 3 months waiting for parts to come to Adelaide,… Read more
they didn't, so delonghi completley replaced the unit. Now about 7 months in the whole exact cycle is happening again, well see if delonghi will be intrested in fixing it now. Very frustrating, faulty products.
We have two of these ! – I originally bought a second hand one for work to replace the manual machine we had. The one at work makes 10 plus coffees a day, and has run faultlessly. So, I bought a second hand one for home as I was impressed with the fully intergrated milk froth jug on the one at work, it has made over 5k coffees and runs like a dream. Change the water… Read more
filter every 3 months or so, wash the brewer unit once a week and empty the catcher when it says to. Oh yes, you have to descale it with delonghi descaler when it says it needs it.
Read the manual if you own one of these things to get the most out of it, the machine logs changes of filters, descales etc, so you know it's been done if you buy second hand.
Only down side is the cost of the water filters, a little bit pricey. Add a second shot to the one touch cappacino coffee and use a good bean for a nice result . It isn't the machines fault if you buy rubbish coffee to put through it.
