6 months in and it's busted – Gets a single star as it's busted after just 6 months old. Used multiple times daily. This is my second Nescafe coffee machine. First one (a different model) had a water plumbing issue and now this one has a busted pin (the inner spring or whatever mechanism pushes the pin into the pod). Not good enough. Show details

I don't like it – It's easy to use but very expensive . The coffee didn't taste good to me either. I bought cappuccino too which was hard to figure out that you have one cap of milk and the other cap of coffee to put in. I wouldn't buy this machine again. Not happy  Show details

Makes a nice coffe – This machine is very easy to use and the coffee is really nice. The only thing I don’t like is the pods as they can’t be recycled. It would be good if more pod brands would fit the machine. We tend to use our mocha more often now to save on the price and use of the pods.  Show details

Cant live without my coffee machine – I love my machine and the taste of the coffee. I have two machines. One for home and one for the caravan. I like the way it has different capsules for different types of coffee. I dont buy as much milk now as the capsules have there own. It is very easy to use even my husband can use it.  Show details

Looks good – Looks good and is really simple to use. Love the foam on top of my coffee. Does its job well. Haven't tried cleaning yet so no idea on how easy or hard it is. But overall a great coffee machine that looks premium and makes coffee taste better. I probably end up saving money as I go to coffee shops less often now.  Show details

simple and great to use – Great little machine. So easy to use with a good variety of coffee types that you can buy from supermarket or order online. Even my young children find it easy to make their hot chocolates. I do wish that you could buy just milk pods by themselves, so you can use them with other drinks.  Show details

Perfect fit – Our Black Dolce Gusto Genio fits perfectly in our household. Cleaning is a breeze and we love the safety features. It has a small footprint on our bench space whilst still looking classy. Love the variety of flavour pods, there's a taste for every pallet . Quick and easy to use.  Show details

Easy convenient quick coffee – Its a convenient instant way to get your hot beverage anytime. Great range of coffee and chocolate pods but I just wish the pods were biodegradable so it would be better for the environment. Simple machine that's easy to operate. Nice design and it doesn't take up much space on the kitchen bench.  Show details

Simple to use with good variety of pods – Bought on special just over 3 years ago but only used occasionally. Acceptable flavour from pods once used to powdered milk taste. My young nephew enjoys using the machine and is fond of the hot chocolate. The option of cold drinks is a good idea and works best if filled with ice cold water first and ice is put in the glass. Noticed lot of pod… Read more

contents remains after use so tend to let run longer than recommended on the pod, although this can dilute and weaken the flavour. Now has stopped pumping water despite descaling some months ago and has had little use since then. The lack of use may be the problem as the pump still runs with a rattly sound it seems due to the pump valve sticking. Dismantling was difficult as it is designed not to be serviced and replaced if faulty. The support phone line was helpful and offered to tell me where it could be serviced but I took the other option of buying a new machine online with 50% discount using the code given. Will use demineralised water in new machine to play safe.

Great Coffee - Better Than Nespresso – I bought the Genio without actually having tasted the coffee first. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality of the coffee. My tastebuds were a little offended at first over the taste of the powdered milk in the milk capsules as I have always used fresh milk, however over a short period of time I actually got used to the taste and now… Read more

don't mind it. The machine is easy to use. I use pure water (not filtered water nor tap water) so I never have to descale the machine as their is nothing in the water that can cause scaling.

I have one machine at home and one at work.

The range of beverages is quite good with new ones appearing from time to time. I highly recommend the Cappuccino, Americano, Ristretto Ardenza, Espresso Intenso, Latte Macchiato, Chai Tea Latte and Green Tea Latte capsules. I've tried the Chocoletto capsules, Milo capsules and the Nesquik capsules which are okay but I'm more of a coffee drinker. The Mocha isn't too bad but it uses instant coffee mixed in with the chocolate powder so it has an instant coffee taste. :(

The Nestea Peach is awful and I don't recommend it. It contains Aspartame as a sweetener too which we all know can cause health issues. Avoid!!!

I find the strength and taste of the coffee in Dolce Gusto capsules are better than many of the Nespresso compatible coffee brands.

The only design flaw with the Dolce Gusto machine is that it leaves a lot of water in the capsules. When you take out the capsule after the beverage is ready you need to squeeze the capsule to extract the remaining liquid (milk, tea and chocolate capsules). Even the coffee capsules contain much water which need to be drained otherwise it will leak into your bin. There should be a process where the machine cuts off the water and forces air into the capsules to push out the remaining liquid.

Pod me baby! – Perfect for when you want a delicious drink ASAP! The hot or cold choices are all winners, and my pod rack gets refilled a couple of times a week! Coles have a 2 for $12 special at the moment, so hopefully it's a monthly special, and I can restock them! Best Christmas present ever!

Buyer Beware – The machine is a cheap machine and the coffee taste terrible, I called right away to get it sent back and have called 4 times with 45 to 1 hr 30 min hold times to get them to answer and send me a return shipping label and they postponed it soooo long on purpose so they could start charging me for it!!!!!!! Coffee is tooo expendsive also over 1.00 a cup!!!!!!

Great for quick coffee – Cheap machine that does a good job for a quick but nice coffee with out the hassles of a larger more expensive machine that takes 10 minutes to make a coffee. Be nice if their were more flavour pods available. And if you like 2 sugars in your coffee you'll need to add them, pre sugared pods aren't sweet enough. Cheap, quick Need more flavours in the coffee pods

Doesn't last - leaking and useless in less than a year – The coffee pod machine was great. It was my first foray into pods and I was happy with the whole thing - taste, ease, no-mess. The problem is that it has now broken and started leaking water all over the place. Also, I bought an Aldi pod coffee machine about 6 months ago for my work kitchen and it's far more attractive as a piece of machinery,… Read more

has roughly equivalent coffee variety and taste, and has proved itself durable and reliable with far more use (4 people per day) than the DeLonghi has had to put up with (1 person per day). Neat and tidy, easy. Reservoir too small, and it broke in under a year with 1/day use.

Great little gadget – I'm not a huge coffee drinker. I like flavoured coffees and hot chocolates, so this unit is perfect for me. I think the flavoured lattes are really nice, and the ice tea tastes exactly like the one in the store. I wish their were more flavours available, like mocha, hazelnut etc but I am still getting through all the pods I bought online. I don't… Read more

buy milk so the milk pods are great for me too. It's a nice looking machine and doesn't take up too much room on my bench. Great for people who enjoy coffee every now and then but aren't too serious about it. Looks great and lots of accessories I would argue it's not "real" coffee
