I'm impressed with this machine. The coffee is excellent. $200 less than a Breville. I also love the retro colour, green. Been using it a month so far. I previously had a Breville that lasted 5 years.
Follow-up · I really like the retro colour, it was cheaper than the stainless, though the main parts are stainless and is easy to clean. It heats up quickly and switches off automatically and uses less power than others.

a few seconds before frothing the milk. Place the wand just below the surface & slightly tilt the jug backwards to froth & texture the milk. Once the milk starts rising insert the wand deeper into the jug. Fantastic grinder & a responsive steam wand that goes online in 3 seconds. problems started. It is descaled whenever the light comes on, which happens way more often than any other machine I've had, and takes hours to go through the process. The pressure gauge no longer moves and there's no crema on the coffee. Worst bit is the LEAKING. Nothing to do with the tray overflowing- I can clean it out one day and have the whole machine suddenly sitting in water the next. It now lives on a large plastic tray as my timber bench top was getting ruined. I'm terrified I'll be electrocuted one day. Can not work out why this happens. Bad product – Machine worked ok for just over a year albiet with grind setting on 1 and struggled to get correct pressure . Then started leaking and losing pressure . Had it repaired under warranty which took nearly 5 weeks and now can't get any pressure on finest grind setting . Not returning for repair as I have no confidence with this product. Show details

attempt to fix the brand-new machine. Unfortunately, the issue remained unresolved.
I was then instructed to take the machine to a coffee shop an hour away for repairs. While they claimed to have fixed it, this meant I was no longer eligible for a replacement. Although the machine continued to make odd noises, we were able to use it for a time, and, frankly, I couldn’t face going through the warranty process again.
Now, after 11 months, the machine has stopped working once more. This ongoing frustration has been incredibly disappointing. I strongly advise against purchasing from this company or this machine model.
I am also still under warrantee and they make it almost impossible for you to access the warrantee encouraging you to just give up.

with different parts falling apart. Almost three months later, my machine is still not fixed.
When I called customer support to request a replacement, they claimed to only have two reports from the repairer, not three, and insisted that I send it back one more time due to their "company policy" requiring at least three repair attempts before issuing a replacement. I explained how incompetent the repairer was, lying about fixing the machine while causing more damage.
Supervisor Samuel assured me that after I sent it back one more time for a third assessment report, he would arrange a replacement. However, they then claimed the repairer reported the machine was working fine and refused to give me a replacement. As a customer who paid over $600 for a machine within warranty, I've been without a working machine for three months, and they are essentially calling me a liar. I'm expected to accept a non-working machine because their service centre fails to acknowledge the issues. The manager also told me that if the service centre says it's working, they will not replace it.
This company is a joke! I will be escalating this with my bank and retailer.

I don't recommend it – Had the machine for 3 months then the grinder stopped working. Everything that holds the grinder in to the machine is plastic. Some of that plastic had broken. There is also a little shute in front of the grinder hopper that fills up with ground coffee which can cause the grinder to stop too. The booklet didn't mention anything about shute… Read more
maintenance. I had to return the machine to the store then wait 2 weeks for it to come back. The hopper now has a crack in it, the grind doesn't go as fine and the dosage has changed. Delonghi customer service said they know the grinder is an issue with this model, they weren't really helpful at all. I would not recommend this machine to anyone.
Delonghi got in touch to try and provide a resolution. I think me telling them that the machine came back in worse condition than when I sent it for repairs made them go quiet. They haven't replied in 7 days.
Delonghi replied after 2 weeks asked what I needed to resolve the issues. After a month and a half of back and forth emails with photos of the damage from the return from repairs, they offered a refund or replacement. In summary, their customer service was poor at first, they told me they couldn't help me as it was past a month old, then after they saw my review they decided to help. Cheap made machine for $900 as a massive disappointment. I took the refund and bought a Breville and it's awesome!

Also, I don’t get any extension warranties from the date from the repair but the date of purchase. Good coffee, reasonable pricing and great look – Not sure how other people can give this machine a 1 star review. Once you did few rounds of trial and understands what grinding, dosing and temperature settings to go for you can then make yourself some nice coffee. Temperamental, unreliable – From brand new, this machine has been a pain to use... takes a bunch of cups to get it running right.. (grinding settings, temping amount, amount of grinds) once set right will work for a while then, for no reason has very little pressure and makes a gross cup... Always something wrong – I can make one coffee nicely and then the 2nd cup is telling me there is no water when the reservoir is full and will not work. Turn it off and start again and it works. This machine is in a holiday home. Used only a few times and descaling light came up. Had it fixed and still showing up after making 6 coffees. I am so over this machine. The machine came with everything including coffee beans which weren't very nice. Great machine with built in grinder, we use a jug to top up the water reservoir and clean everything after every use.
Very happy with it – I have been using this machine for about a fortnight, mainly for cappuccino and I find it easy to use. priced. I have watched a few how to use it clips on youtube but self experimenting a few times is all that is required for a good result. When I bought it there was a gift voucher worth $178 by redemption but I only received 1.5Kg of good quality coffee and an air tight container. Still, I am not complaining! In my experience it is not a good product it is too fiddly, unreliable, doesn’t work, doesn’t last and if you ask me i recommend you buy some other brand barrista coffee machine. This one is not worth the bother or your money.
Temperamental machine – Was very pleased with this machine. Once you get the grind size and weight perfect, and tamp it just right, you get a perfect shot! Usually between 25-27 seconds. Fiddle with it, again and again until you've wasted a whole bag of $50 beans. Because this machine isn't consistent. I don't know if the pump is faulty or the machine is just crap, all I know is at 6am when I leave for work, I don't bother with it, because God knows if it's even going to pour a shot.

A great machine for the budding barista – A very user friendly, basic entry in to the manual art of coffee making. We purchased this for a holiday house as we have its fully automated one at home. The simplicity of grinding, temping, thru to steaming milk is really straight forward.
