I’ve been using this machine for a few weeks now, and overall, it’s a decent coffee machine with some pros and cons. On the positive side, the design is sleek and compact, making it a great fit for smaller kitchens. The coffee it brews is generally good, with a variety of capsule flavors available, which is a nice bonus. The machine is easy to… Read more
use, and the controls are straightforward. It also heats up quickly, so no long waiting times for that first cup of coffee.
However, there are a few areas where it could improve. The water reservoir is relatively small, requiring frequent refills for multiple cups, especially if you’re entertaining. Another downside is the noise—it’s a bit louder than expected, which could be a problem if you're sensitive to sound early in the morning.
All in all, it’s a good option for casual coffee drinkers but may not be ideal for those who want a machine that handles larger volumes or a quieter operation. Considering the price, it does the job but isn’t without its drawbacks.
Works great! – Great coffee machine which is very easy to use and clean. Had mine for over a year now and still works great. A shame that you can't purchase one anymore as the price was low and the new machines are overpriced. Big water tank and has a holder for used capsules. Show details
Nice to start your day with – Easy and quick to use, affordable, takes up little space, minimal cleaning, makes nice HOT coffees. Automatic, just push a button and leave it. There are quite varieties of pod flavors. The water tank is sufficiently big, do not have to refill it frequently. Great machine. One of the best purchases has made! Show details
Not Real Milk – I purchased one of these machines and did not realise that they did not use real milk until I had opened the packaging. Very disappointed that it was not clear on the outer boxing. Rang the company only to be told "too bad" . Unless you like powder milk, I really would not recommend purchasing one of these machines.
Best money I've ever spent – I love this machine you can make a number of different types of coffee ( cappucino, latte macchiato etc) and you don't need to add milk it's all included in the pod & tastes fantastic & there is no milk frother to clean so it super easy. We used to buy coffee out most days but now we rarely buy one and its never as good as we can make at home. Fast, simple and very convenient If you could make a larger portion size that would be great.
Love! – Seriously obsessed with this machine. It is so simple to use and the milk pods are delcious even though I was scared of the whole powered milk thing. No fussing making a morning coffee before work and the chai latte is delicious for an afternoon pick-me-up. My man doesn't like coffee usually but is addicted to the creamy ice coffee. Super easy to use and no cleaning required! My pods run out too quickly.. should be bigger boxes
Highly recommend, it's so easy to use and almost no maintenance required – I was given a latte to try that was made using one of these at a friends and was instantly hooked so I went and bought one from David Jones. Shop around because Harvey Norman had them on special for $235 down from $299 but as there wasn't a Harvey Norman close by, David Jones did a price match for me. The Melody 3 looks great on your bench top… Read more
and is super easy to use. I love that you don't have to use and store real milk for it, I know you're thinking, UHT milk, no thanks but trust me you probably wouldn't know if you weren't told. So far I've had the hot chocolate, machiatto latte and the cappucino flavours, all were delicious and very simple and quick to make. I have on order the peach iced tea, chai latte and iced cappucino so can't wait to try those. A range of pods are available at Coles, Woollies, KMart, David Jones and Big W but some specialty flavours are only available online. Go to dolce-gusto.com.au to check out the full flavour range. I use filtered water (15 litres from IGA for around $7) to fill it with, you can use tap water but I thought filtered water would help with limescale buildup which in occurs in all machines with a water reservoir in it. You can purchase a descaling kit for $9 at dolce-gusto.com.au which they recommend you use every 3 months or so. The look, inexpensive compared to say Nespresso machines, no soured milk problems, almost no maintenance, a great range of flavours, great tasting, quick and easy to use, lots more flavours coming as they are already available overseas, hygenic, some pods are easy to access i.e. at Woollies and Coles. It's a little annoying that some flavours are only available online and even more annoying when they're out of stock or it says that they are "coming soon".
