Poor communication and overpriced
1. I regret purchasing blinds from this company and should have gone with Australian Outdoor Blinds.
2. Designer Blinds salesperson stated that they would be ready by mid January 2020.
3. Blinds were installed mid March and no apology from owner of the business who attempted to berate and embarrass me in front of the installers, conducting himself like an impetulant school bully.
4. Go with Australian Outdoor Blinds as they have a better quality product.
5. I would have preferred to spend my money with Australian Outdoor Blinds as opposed ...to this company who did not provide updates on job and salesman made factually incorrect derogatory comments about me to the company about being a “single mother”. 6. I went with this company because I was hoping to have them installed in summer so press Australian Outdoor Blinds to do quicker installation if you are after motorised roller blinds.
I Got 3 Electric blinds from this Company.
Over all the product is good!
But the biggest blind at just under 4 meters makes loads of noise in just a light wind! So won’t recommend any bigger then 3 meters!
Extremely bad installations- wrong colour pop rivets/Scratches and a panel spray-painted rather than powder coated.

Took 3 attempts to install and two months of messing about to get it sorted.
I do not recommend using this company.

Do yourself a favour and do not believe all the negative reviews you read about this company as they were excellent. Hardworking, clean, efficient and friendly. I do highly recommend

One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with, these previous 5 stars reviews are absolutely fake, I can guarantee you those five stars were given for a discount on the blinds cause the people and company that came to my house don't deserve half a star.
They are liars and thieves, we paid them a $2000 deposit and had 2 seperate guys come out to do the measurements of the blinds and when the blinds arrived they were all the wrong measurements but their so called qualified tradies proceeded to install these blinds when clearly it looked way t...
Best Installers I Have Dealt With!
I don't write reviews very often but I had a retractable pergola installed on the weekend and thought i would leave feedback. Its too early to tell whether im happy with the actual cover just yet, but i was very impressed by the professionalism of the installers Craig and Mike.
I was super impressed by the fact that they knew they were going to be running late and gave me a call to notify me so i was able to run a few errands.
Thanks once again to the designer team, will look again when im ready for blinds

Extremely happy with our new outdoor blinds, we use to get eaten alive by mozzies and after we had our blinds fitted you could literally see them buzzing outside.
one little quibble i had is the lack of response i initially got, but i managed to get a hold of brad who i assume is one of the owners and from that point everything went smoothly.Happy to use again.
New folding arm awning install
I had a folding arm awning installed yesterday. Very happy with the workmanship and professionalism of the installers. I decided to go for the motorised option on the recommendation of John who sold us on the system. Not regretting this decision so far.
So far so good with my retractable roof
Brad and the team gave me a quote i couldn't refuse on my retractable roof. I went into the whole agreement with a bit of skepticism after reading a few of the reviews on Designer, but im happy to say everything went to plan and am very happy with my new motorised roof. The installer especially were very good, they were very nice, cleaned up and even threw a few bolts into my pergola to help strenghen it.
When i brought up the reviews online, they mentioned they have worked hard to improve what they do and if my work is anything to go by, i think they have.
All good here. Very good quality and my outdoor space is now year round entertaining space
I to was unsure after seeing the ad on Instagram about this company. After searching online and extensively researching all the options and calling and getting quotes from other leading company's in this industry of outdoor blinds Im happy to say that I made the right choice. The sales guy that came out was obviously very keen and passionate about making a sale but before we agreed he went through all the fine details and also explained the manufacturing process to me that I appreciated being a fussy buyer. I was unaware that this company actua...lly imports and manufactures its own product. I also changed my mind, after an invitation to there showroom in western Sydney to inspect the type and style, from manual motors to electric after we signed and after one phone call to Brad we agreed on an upgrade cost and all was without fuss.
Great Folding Awning
I read some of these reviews and wondered if I should go ahead with my Foldable Awning from designer blinds.
Im not sure if these guys were using a different company but i am actually really happy with my install and the service i got. The guys were there on time and appears to be of high quality and workmanship. My advice would be to judge for yourself as i am getting a set of outdoor blinds fitted in two weeks so we will see how they go with this fit.
Disgusting service from the owner
Crappy product, part for the hook broke due to being made from crap plastic. One day out of warranty and they wanted $220 to replace. After that made disgusting comments to my husband when he refused to pay for a fault with the product. Stay away
I have never been pushed into a corner and pretty much forced to sign with them . I have never known about blinds i wanted to get another quote but he was so adamant for me to sign with them that i never gor a chance to. Now 5 weeks later i still dont have my blinds up when i was promised 2 weeks . I guess you learn from your mistakes to stay away from big mobs
Where Oh Where have my Bistro Blinds gone, Where Oh Where can they be ???????
On the 30/1/19 I ordered two large Bistro blinds for the back of my house, very nice people came out and sold their product within an inch of it's life, I loved what I saw and hey presto, well , not exactly, I got a phone call two days ago 28/2/19 that my blinds are ready to be installed. We agreed 30/2/19 between 1.30 - 2.30 and I'm still waiting Saturday 11.03am. I have tried to ring but no answer and I have sent an email but no reply hence, I am taking this road as they have left me no choice. A phone call would be nice or email. Why do companies insist on treating the customer like a moran we are not, you entered into a binding contract, honor it, stop stuffing around and give me my bloody blinds.
Great product, terrible communication
We purchased and installed 3 large outdoor automated blinds on some windows.
At quotation stage this company are very responsive- came out within a day or 2 of initial contact! Very competitive quoting. Don't rely heavily on the 'salesman' colour advice. Remember they are sales people. At this point (1st week of November) we were promised pre-Christmas installation and a turn-around of approximately 4wk.
Things went pear-shaped from then on.
In the same week post contract/deposit we were asked to be home to allow a final check-...measure. No show. No call. Nothing. We pursued them 4 days later- Production Manager had no idea the check measure never occurred. Re-booked us for a Saturday in 2wks time (you can see where our 4wk turn-around is heading!). Saturday in 2wk time- we get no calls to confirm. No show. No call. Nothing. Getting somewhat annoyed and really starting to wonder if this company is a sham.....we post a question on their Facebook page. The company owner calls within 30mins (and deletes the Facebook post!) to apologise and offer for a site check at 8.30pm that night (?!). Not sure how they plan to conduct a site check to a very high standing 3-storey house in the dark, alas their contracted electrician arrives. Does what he has to do, and leaves.
